Hmm I hope in the future - they go in depth about Kakashi's past .. I'm a bit tired of the Uchiha brothers right now..Itachi and Sasuke need to get on with their lives and OVER things.. I don't know I used to like them both but now it just seems like the manga should be "SASUKE" not "NARUTO"

I'm interested in learning about what was foreshadowed in the beginning.. the fate of Kakashi's teammates ... I truly believe in my mind that they are the people he was talking about when he mentioned he had lost everyone he had ever really cared for.

Daggumit though, hasn't that boy ever showed his face?? Yes - I apologize I am a bit of a Kakashi fangirl.. but that's just cuz he's hella cool.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who feel that way. I'm over this current arc. It doesn't help that I never like Sasuke character (or Sakura for that matter) so I want this story to be over and done with yesterday. Have you read the last chapter? I was a bit disappointed. I was hoping that Itachi turns out to not be evil. Oh well, whatever. Just as long as this arc is over and I get to see the other characters soon.

I agree with you with Kakashi. I believe he was talking about Obito, Yondaime, and that girl in the picture when he talked about the people that he cared about. Well, on top of his family, I assume. I want to know more about his story. I also hope there'll be some kind of resolution for him. If Naruto can gain a lot of new friends, I don't see why he can't either.

Speaking of the brat, I want to see more of him. Well, he's still featured alot in the anime but in the manga lately he's non-existent thanks to the flashback. His interaction with everyone (except Sasuke and Sakura) are always entertaining and often tear-inducing. I can't wait for that part where Tsunade starts to see him as a replacement for her brother to be animated. I've always liked the character ever since the series started. He's a loudmouth but a funny and kind person.

Come to think of it, I am strangely more interested in the kind characters from this series than the evil one. Quite contrary to my favourites on other series. So Hinata, Iruka, Shikamaru, Chouji, Jiraiya, and Tsunade are on my list of characters that I want to see more. Unfortunately, Kishimoto seems to be hang up on Sasuke and his arc.

Hee. $11 is the official price. You still have to consider the cost of shipping/handling if you're ordering from Japan and the additional markup if you get one from a local bookstore like I did. It actually ended up costing me around $27.

Yes I have read the latest chapter - made me go �� and sigh loudly. But I think it means the flashbacking will be over and we might actually get to see Naruto again!!

I'm also more of a fan of the secondary (if you can really call any of them that) characters in this series - Shikamaru, Hinata, and all the rest - I really feel for them.. I'm also still waiting to see what happened to the rest of the everyone from the "mission."

I'm patiently waiting for Tsunade & Naruto to go at it - I love the way they interact with each other. Naruto touches everyone he meets and that's one of the things I like about this series.

Cannot wait til Eps 91 & 92 to see how it all looks animated.

Hey! I've been lurking at your site for quite a while for your Fruits Basket updates (I think I left a comment on one of the chapters before ^_^), and I decided to unlurk because...I feel a need to defend Sasuke's name! XD

*all that follows is somewhat spoilery*

I'm not being purposely antagonistic, but I am interested to know why people hate Sasuke so much. I mean, he hasn't had that much of a great life, so I don't think it's very fair to blame him for turning out 'unkind' and saying that he should get over things. Come on, if your entire family was murdered by your own beloved brother, you're not just going to get over it, right? The betrayal is too strong.

Everyone has different defence mechanisms. It just happens that Naruto chooses unquenchable (I would say unrealistic, except considering how the manga is named after him well...we know exactly how invincible that makes him) optimism and Sasuke ends up closing himself off.

It's not as if he's really unkind (and he's most definitely not evil!). He cares for his teammates very strongly and would die to protect them. Yes, there is his whole turning-evil act, which I admit pissed me off for a while, but everyone goes off course once or twice in their life-time. I'd say he must have found it pretty devastating to lose (or the equivalent of losing) to Naruto, considering he'd worked his butt off to become stronger than his brother and Naruto managed to leap from lowest in his class to Sasuke's equal in a year (I think?) or so (I'm not saying Naruto didn't work hard, but I'm sure Sasuke worked just as hard, and Naruto's improvement is rather drastic).

Yeah well, just my two cents. I'm a self-confessed Sasuke fangirl, so uh, don't kill me. ^^; I'd like to hear your comments though.

I can't speak for anyone else but the reason I don't like Sasuke is simply because I don't find his character interesting/likeable even with his sad past. I've seen his story/character on so many other anime. The difference is, those characters have an interesting personality, something that Sasuke needs a transplant of.

Sure you can say that the other characters are also sterotypical anime characters but at least they are interesting to me and does not induce boredom with short sentences and no more than 3 different facial expressions. To me, seeing someone acting like an angsty zombie 24/7 is plain boring.

I'm also basically tired with the fact that for a long time now, the story has been unevenly focused on his and Itachi's arc much to the detriments of other characters' stories. And he's not even the title character. I just wish that this means his story and angst will be over and done soon and the series can move on to other characters that I like more.

You mean in terms of books available? If that's what you're talking about, then the answer is 'No'. I don't think that series ever got released in any other form than in its original Weekly Shounen Jump form.

Sakura is okay sometimes. But most of the times, her characterisation is grating. She's supposed to be one of the main characters, and yet she's only obsessed in getting Sasuke to like her even when she's been rejected for so many times. There's time for perseverance, and there's time for knowing when to quit and stop humiliating oneself. Sakura doesn't seem to know how to balance the two. Therefore, I feel that it's a shame that the time which could have been used to develop other more interesting characters are often spent on Sakura professing her undying love to Sasuke for the umpteenth time.

I personally hate Sakura....all she thinks about is Sasuke. Also Sasuke and Itachi just seem to keep going and going. I'm getting really mad at how Naruto is seemingly a odd name for the Manga right now.Why not just name it Sasuke and make a biography on him(Sasuke)?Although I like Sasuke alot,it seems that they just keep going on and on about him.

Yeas, I'd have to say the same thing too. The story is about Naruto, & I know my favourite character is Sasuke, but they talk too much about him!

You're life story inspires me to do great things in my life. Your Naruto anime is by far the Dragonball for the next generation. Please keep making episodes "with lots of action of course" and you will last forever. But I think what everyone really wants to see is the next fight Naruto and Sasuke have, or Sasuke next battle. Plus also if Sasuke actually gets up to par in skill with his brother Itachi. So far you're anime is still #1. From a true fan.

I agree with alot of you that Kishimoto is hung up on Sasuke when there are tons of other interesting character to focus on. It is like focusing on a big catch like a Tuna yet ignoring the schools of fish lurking beneath.
So Kishimoto, please be smart and turn your attention towards Hinata-kun, Neji-sama, Shikamaru, Kiba, Kakashi, Jiraira, Lee-kun, Konahamaru etc. Even the Hidden village of the sand have an interesting story line. what about Gaara ,Temari, and I forgot the puppet master's name. tnks

my end of naruto is that naruto remained with hinata and becomes sixth hokage sakura fell in love with gaara and it remained with, sasuke kills itachi and dies at hands of naruto tsunade dies to a hands of sasuke that is controlled by orochimaru and chouji becomes the head anbu and it remains with inno and shikamaru remained with temari and soon naruto and soon kakashi discovers that tobi is obito and fight kakashi soon him dise to obito that is going to give back the eye to him but obito it refuses and return to konoha kankuro soon replaces to gaara like kazekage because gaara is going away with sakura to cross others sides with his son Lee it discovers that he is son of gai and neji remains with ten ten kiba soon and shino becomes anbus

in my opinion, u people are all wrong (no offence) but all the characters in naruto have their own unique "coolness" and masashi kishimoto, makes some characters less interesting at some times so that the readers will concentrate on the others. for example at one point in the story he concentrated the storyline alot on rock lee but then after that, lee like pretty much disapeared. masashi kishimoto consentrates on certain characters in different parts of the story, and bit by bit you get to understand more and more about each certain character. he's a very good mangaka and thats why u all love his manga, but if he did what u people have all been saying, the manga will get real boring and bad. he leaves bits and peices of the story out so that the readers can get their own ideas about what really happens.and that is why the manga is so interesting-you are free to explore masashi kishimoto's world in your own way and make it half YOUR story. so i don't know, but i don't reckon it really matters whether people are crap charcters or not. sometimes the are annoying, sometimes they're cool. And u really can't judge them because those "bad" characters are what help make other characters "cool" and help build up the story of "NARUTO"

I will come straight out and say that I am the biggest Naruto fangirl ever (don't argue with me, you don't know me). Here is why I hate Sasuke so much (sorry to the fans).

I do feel for Sasuke that his whole clan was killed by his own brother. I will admit that it is not something you can get over, but here is the thing. Sasuke is bent on revenge and will do ANYTHING to get it. In eps 132-134, there is of course the whole Naru/Sasu fight and at the very end of 134, he says he will not kill Naruto and do what his brother wants him to do to obtain power. I think though that Sasuke has been doing what Itachi has wanted him to do all along.

He has made Sasuke so set on revenge, that Sasuke is literally destroying his own life .Even if Sasuke does kill Itachi, he has betrayed Konoha, worked under Orochimaru and a whole lot of other awful things. Sasuke will have NO ONE to go back to because everyone hates him now.

Sasuke had a choice to seek revenge or not. He should have listened to Kakashi when he said that revenge won't make anyone happy. I understand why Sasuke wants revenge so badly, but there are other ways to get around it besides killing.

Sasuke made the wrong choice and has now done EXACTLY what Itachi has wanted him to do. Sasuke has no one now, he's right back where he started.

Naruto is awesome! He is the one of the greatest anime characters known to mankind. I have a few anime ideas of my own and I want to share it with Mr. Kishimoto.

I think the story contradicts itself at many points.
1. Jiraiya was said to be sooooo strong but we never saw him in an actual battle and in the end he died at the hands of pain (who i understand is very powerful and all but still.)
I don't quite get where he was all strong and mighty. And when jiraiya battled the nine-tailed naruto he almost died but orochimaru walked out of there if it was a walk in the park and all this time i thought jiraiya>orochimaru because itachi beat orochimaru no sweat (he even says the he is no match for itachi) while on the other hand itachi is kinda scared of jiraiya when he says that he and kisame will die if they fight him. So????
2. Naruto is supposed to be stronger than all the other peers considering he has been trained by jiraiya the one who taught the "fourth hokage" but it seems to me that he is the most pathetic piece of work. I mean all he knows is the rasengan and the shadow clone jutsu? didn't he know the same thing when he started his trainning with jiraiya 3 years ago and its not like he is any smarter?? SO WAT the hell was he doing in those 3 years there is only one thing he learnt......the ogden rasengan? which he doesn't even use that much + the getting rid of genjutsu. I mean sasuke learnt ALOT i can't even tell u how many jutsus he knows everytime he has a new one but naruto sucks and uses the same old jutsu again and again. If i had a nickle for everytime naruto did the shadow clone jutsu...i would be rich.
3. Itachi is supposed to be stronger than sasuke because SASUKE said himself HE CAN'T BEAT ITACHI but still he goes looking for him and now he about to woop his ass. WTF man so wat is itachi stronger or not??
And it will hurt me if sasuke wins because i am a itachi fan which is irrelevant

I agree with you in many ways Sandeep. But, i am a naruto fan. Probably the only one here. I dont have any idea how naruto is suppose to get stronger than sasuke now. It is like the show was meant to be called sasuke. Jiraiya did nothing in the training with naruto. He would have been stronger if he had stayed and trained with kakashi, whom by the way made him a lot stronger...kinda. Sasuke might catch up to madara's strength. or maybe peins. and naruto has to fight tobi(madara...whoever the hell he is) with like nine other people. I dont see anyway he will be as strong as his father. It makes me sad. Naruto never does anything truly cool. And just when it seems like he is as strong as sasuke, boom. Kakashi says that he and naruto are like the same level... Kakashi is much weaker than itachi. and sasuke can fight itachi without the mangekyou. There is no way naruto can beat sasuke, especially if sasuke has control of the nine tails, which is really...really stupid to me. Honestly, that was all naruto had to show some skill. Now he cant use it agaisnt is rival, but his rival can use his curse mark against him. Not fair at all. not to meantion naruto is suppose to be the Destined Ninja or some crap like that. I dont know what the hell i should think. all i know is that Masashi will make everything work out. Me complaining just shows how good the manga/show really is. besides, if he listens to what people tell him to do the show would kinda suck. I just wanted to get my 2 cent in.

I'm big fan of Naruto too. but i think that manga start concentrate too much at Sasuke. Mr. Kishimoto, I was hoping that you would make some couples like....soon. lol I was also hoping that you wouldn't focus all about the Uchiha brothers as much and stuff. Then go deeper with the characters and such. I really like the couple Temari and Shikamaru. They just match perfectly. As long as they are a couple...I'm happy. lol. I`m a big fan of NARUTO Anime...(I wonder how many times You heard that...)
I`m kinda wacked,because I get depressed every time when somebody dies,or stuff like that...Like,when Sasuke-dono left. I am really sad he became evil...I have a feeling things got out of control...Maybe You should get in a new character...like Naruto-kun`s long lost twin sister that Sasuke-dono would have feelings for...she could change the whole story...
I liked that idea so much - i even draw some sketches and I would be happy if You looked them...

I've been a huge Naruto fan for some time now and it's probably safe to say that I like the idea of a union between Hinata and Naruto (I've always like to see the underdog receive some happiness). At least I am thinking that in the future their destinies will have to entwine due to a promise made to Neji at the Chuunin exams to change the Hyuuga Clan once he becomes Hokage. Hinata will have to make a decision to help Naruto or oppose him, and let’s not forget Hannabi who is training to be a carbon copy of her father. If she inherits the clan instead of Hinata, then the storyline could really get interesting. Until then, it would just be nice for Naruto to even acknowledge that Hinata is actually an attractive young woman and to show a little interest. Maybe her lack of presence in the manga is leading up to a happy Naruto/Hinata storyline (I hate using the term “NaruHina”) or maybe it’s to downplay her so Sakura can come shining through. In any case we'll see.
I’ve read from the critics that the Hinata fans are in for a bit of a let-down with the new Shippuuen Movie #2 due to the lack of interaction between Naruto and Hinata, though the critics do say that the movie itself is very well written and entertaining.
