The art is beautiful, that is for sure. Clamp is such a great group of artists!! Yet frankly..... Reservoir Chronicle's story SUKS. It is a not unlike a group of separate, unexciting stories packed together. No connection whatsoever. I am rapidly losing interest in this manga too, only the beautiful art saves it. My most beloved Clamp's work is CLOVER - my all time favorite manga. ^^

Regarding how Kurogane looks similar to Fuuma, in the Tsubasa/xxxHOLiC 2005 calendar, for the December image, he really looked almost exactly like him. ^_^*

Yes, I am also disappointed that they are totally disregarding X for this! They need to finish the series, not go on to other, less interesting projects!!

Well...I don't really know what to say...When I learned that the "heroes" are going to be Shaoran and Sakura from CCS , I were absolutely extatic about it, being a super fan^^...So it felt kinda weird when I started to read TRC; but some scenes are just SO beautiful and SO great that I just can't leave it apart...^^ For example, when it was said that Shaoran was half blind from the start, I just almost fell from my chair anime style if you see what I mean--> I just couldn't see him the same way....I'm just willing, wanting and waiting for CLAMP to surprise me more and more!!!

My initial reaction was probably similar to alot of CCS-starved fans: Great, a new storyarc! But when i started reading the story, (and i noticed this straight from the first volume), i found most of the story is based on guesswork and 'things to be seen in the future' (like, for example, Yue-alternately-the-clow-planet's priest's cryptic prediction about a great danger, and Sayoran being the only one helping Sakura').

Also, there seems to be a very weak reason for pulling all these heavy-hitter characters together for a manga- but it's just my opinion, lol. And i happen to love Kurogane, anyway.

I admit, that the story line can get boring at times... but from where I left off (which happens to be a chapter in volume 9) things are getting more interesting and I believe there'll be a lot of surprises later on. Well, that's me... ^.^

And yes, no surprises if the art reminds me or anybody of another work from CLAMP. Tsubasa is a crossover...

I fell in love love with the anime Cardcaptor Sakura.The more with the Part 2 of it!!I dont care who thinks its bad!!Im a big fan of Tsubasa.I've been ever since( last saturday ).
If there is stuff and DVDs about TSUBASA i'll so buy it!

Being a big CLAMP fan I had to pick this up, though I don't know if the volumes are different in the US, but theres only 4 of them out over here. Personally i think that the animation style is reminicent of Angelic Layer, but thats just an opinion. Also I know the story isn't that great from 1-4 but I have a feeling its going to get better, ecspecially since it keeps showing that kid whose in a room full of symbols (Its most likely kanji, but I'm not completely sure on that), and his whole body seems to be covered in a tattoo or mark of some kind. I'll be curious to see what happens with this character.

Kurogane looks A LOT like Fuuma. I personally love the change in art Mokona-san does here. And for the record, they are taking their sweet time with X on purpose?it makes me sad ;_;

I have an opinion here on why so many people are dissapointed with TRC...

The way I see it is that TRC relates in plot to CCS; that is, disregarding the magical girl subgenre, the plot is that a great many things have gone missing and they need to be found. I have not had the chance to read other CLAMP manga, as much as I would like to, so my experience in CLAMP manga is painfully limited. However, from what I can tell, such manga as X, Chobits, or what have you is very different from CCS and, therefore, TRC, and due to the fact that people have fallen in love with these other CLAMP series first, they are more or less expecting the same plotline. I was introduced to CLAMP by CCS, so I guess you could say that, since that's the only other CLAMP manga I've read thoroughly, I expected the same plotline in TRC.

I think this series will get better after more of the story is published. It probably seems slow now because Sakura, who had been lively before her lack of memory/personality, is now (in the Del Rey release, anyway) pretty much brain dead. There is also a lack of romantic friction, other than the Sakura/Syaoran situation. I believe that once the series gets deep into the plot people will begin to like it again.

You guys in China and Japan are so lucky!!! You guys are 4 volumes ahead of us in the U.S.A!! i believethat you guys are on volume 10 while we are on volume six. whhhaaahhh.

Anyway, putting that aside, I find this new manga to be excellent. I am a die-hard CCS fan, so when I saw the preveiw on the bak cover (with huge letters saying "Sakura and Syroan have returned") I immediately picked it up. i was initially dissapointed that it wasn't a continuation of CCS. however that dissapointedment immediately went away, when i started to read it! Before I knew it, I was hooked. i immediately bought volume one and reserved #2.

Clamp did a great job of making this new manga. I thought that reusing the same characters would be very stupid, not to meantion old, but I found that it adds to the fun of the story. You get to see different characters of different books in the one storyline, but their personalities are sooo different than the ones that they have in the original manga that they are in. It's fun to try and point out the different charracters from Clamps previous works. I remember when I first saw tomoyo as a princess!!!!!! That was great!

I'm only on #6 (you lucky dogs are up to 10), but I can see that the story has taken its own unique shape apart from Clamps other novels, while still staying within Clamps patented ideas.

The fact that Tsubasa crosses over with XXXholic is interesting too. The reason I love holic is that it makes you think a lot!! I mean I still can't stop thinking about what part himiwari-chan (sry i can't spell) has to play in the story, but since its only up to #5 in the U.S., you guys may know already!!!!!!!! does anyone know?

I think Tsubasa is as (or even more) interesting than ccs, cos it's got a different storyline though the characters are the same..and is a mixture of three animes:CCS, Chobits and Clamp School(till vol.5)...I do like CCS still, but Tsubasa is better with more mystery and fear...tis a level higher than ccs.However, we do not see a variety of costumes in tsubasa as we do in ccs..but still, both manga(s) rule for me!!!

To be true: I like it's story. I don't deny that it's not as good and new as X or clover (which really should be finished quickly!) for example but I like the characters CLAMP created und how they are growing together as a group though being totaly different. And I think there's gonna be a phenomenal ending!

I really like TRC so far, and I can't wait for volume 7 to come out over here in the States. It takes to long in translation! I understand that it's difficult, and time consuming, but....I WANT IT NOW! *sobs*
I'm sorry if i sound annoying, but i just love this story. I also haven't read too many other CLAMP manga (other than Wish, CCS, and CCS: Master of the Clow). I have read some of X, but whereever i go they don't have the series in any kind of order ( i keep ending up going from book 5 to book 12), it's really confusing.

Word of advice to anyone just passing through this site... NEVER READ CLAMP MANGA OUT OF ORDER!!

ActUally, i never read mangas, i only f0und ouT aBout TSUBASA when Qtv 11- A chanel hir in the phil. Aired it 0n tV and they translate it to filipino. The 1st tym i watch that series, i sed its kinda familiar bc0z of itz charaCterz and since den i start 2 like it! Its juz dat i nver fnish it,.bc0z i tink Qtv 11 d0esnt hav the full volume of this series! I was really sad bC0z i really want 2 fnish that series, i bCame 2 atTach with d charCterz!
