Suneohair - Split | Mirror (30.9MB, for PSP/Quicktime)
Suneohair - Split (3.6MB, MP3)
Suneohair's Split is the ending theme for Honey and Clover II. The song is a really good representation of the 2nd season storyline and has a bittersweet note to it just like the series. The PV itself looks unique, to say the least. It features Suneohair performing the song while a ripped black screen covers a quarter of the scene. The result is similar to the album cover for the single, which also shows the lead singer behind a ripped grey screen. And don't worry about the timer, it is meant to be there. If you see it closer, you'll notice that in some instances, the timer is behind the black screen. I also like the way the singer jumps around energetically from one area to another. It makes me feel like I'm watching a live concert. As a sidenote, the MP3 above are just a rip from the PV, so unfortunately it's not that high in quality.

Kana/Kanji version

Thank you Garten I have been waiting for this song for a long time. The rhythm of this song is always suited to the ending part of each chapter and I do like this song very much.
i've always thought that Waltz was irreplaceable as an ED, but seems like Split is growing on me nicely - hard to describe but just like Waltz, it is always hitting at the right spot to give an impact to each episode's ending. Props to Suneohair for his songwriting and his soulful voice.
Wow, about time the song PV came out...
I have a favor to ask of you Garten.
I clicked on the link for the PV but it hit the limit or something and won't let me. Can you upload again on MegaUpload or somewhere else? If you can find the time then its fine lol It never hurts to ask though = þ
Thanks for the PV-rip mp3 =]
ah, scratch that; what I just said. I got it. Thanks plenty for uploading it =] I've been waiting for the song since I first heard it XD Domo =]
wow, so lovely T_T
i've been waiting for this track for two months now
the site's moderator is really a very kind otaku ^^
Great!! I've loved this song since the first time I listened to it in the end of the first ep of Hachikuro II..Thanks for the info!
Now if only someone can post up the translation of the lyrics..
Another excellent song, thanks for introducing :D
Man, I've been waiting for this for too long. Thank you very much!
thank you so much for this pv. 9 long weeks of anticipation for this song is finally at an end. suneohair and h&c are really a great combination.
Is it just me or are Japanese PVs just generally boring?
This is one of the most boring I've seen and I actually stopped in the middle when I realized there's nothing more to see. Nothing against the song, it's nice and catchy.
It really seems like there wasn't much effort put into creating this PV. I was especially disappointed that they didn't bother to sync the video to the song. They are obviously not playing to the playback and while the lips are in sync a bit, he's obviously singing something different from the song.
Thanks! i love you~~~
H&C II is very serious and sad and Split really good as an ending. T-T
well, Japanese PV actually is oftentime pretty bizarre (that could just be me) For example, hysteric blue or something (the group that did gakkou no kaiden's op) the actual PV is about the band running around in some sort of time warped dimension in semi-WWII environment with a bunch of historical villans chasing them around.
Regarding the Lip Sync problem, I, too, find it rather awkward. However, to me, it does seem like they are singing (rather, the lead singer) to the lyrics. I am more inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt and conjecture that the off-sync may be another gimmick associated with the song's title; it could be that not only the video frame is split, but also the audio and video stream are "split"
It's awesome. It's fast-paced and changing, like the lives they are going through, and 'split' could refer to their drifting from each other.
It hurts to stop the song, even when I'm just restarting the song, Hachikuro songs make me like this...
Suneohair's songs come deeply in charms as
vignettes of highlighted memories in the past
would just flow over your head like wow...
into a trance...
it's the perfect song for Honey and Clover, though it makers you feel saaad. wonderful sound.
