Death Note: the Movie is basically a live action adaptation of the famous manga. It covers the earlier arc of the series involving Raito and L's cat and mouse game. The film adds a new character as Raito's love interest. I don't know more beyond this but should be when I get the chance to see the film in a few days.

Yuudachi was my first Suga Shikao song too :D And I've loved it ever since, and I still think it's the best Suga song amongst his other songs. As regards to this song, I'm a bit biased since it's a Death Note theme xP But I still think 19sai or Sanagi was better :)

anyways....i would like to say i also prefer Sanagi =\ it's just...his voice seems more fit with melo..dramatic songs.

yuudachi was my first and my FAVORITE suga shikao song. naturally, i was extremely hyped to see him in H&C.

Yes, that's definitely Suga Shikao's name on the paper. I think Ryuuku wrote it. ^^;;

Who is Raito? Or do you mean Light?

Yeah, in the manga, translators used the katakana given to have the shinigami as Ryuuku, and the main character　ライと　as Raito, however, somewhere along the project, the author showed his desire for english-y names, and wanted shinigami to be called Death Reapers. Thus, Ryuuku -> Ryuk, and Raito -> Light. Light makes sense because of the imagery of the series of good/evil. The author's command of english isn't amazing, and the translators sometimes got frustrated with the English names they weren't sure needed correction or not. Oh well, hope that clears some confusion up.

i really like this song by suga shikao. lately his songs have been kind of too poppish for me. 19-sai is cool but it gets redundant after a while.. manatsu on the other hand feels both touching and sincere (though it's pretty grim). i guess i like his style better when he composes songs that make your heart ache a bit. uhh does that sound weird? uhm...just writing out how i feel about this song...and ok im done..writing..feeling...err good song --;;

This song rocks and the manga as well, one of the better series of all times in Japan... I want Death Note in anime now!!! >_
