Suara - Musouka (26.9MB, for PSP/Quicktime) | YouTube version
I haven't actually watched Utawarerumono beyond the first two episodes since I got turned off by the character design and setting. Having said that I think the opening theme is one of the best OST I've had the pleasure to hear this season. I find the full song to be very addictive and often have it on a loop for up to eigth or nine times in one go. The best thing about the song is the accoustic, which gives the song a little bit of Okinawan style to it. The only thing I don't like about the song is the electric guitar sound which appears near the end of the song. It just feels off and out of sync with the rest of the song. In general, however, the song is pretty nice to listen to even when it's taken out of the series' context. Unfortunately, the PV is quite plain and only shows the singer performing in a desert, mixed with some scenes from Utawarerumono. As a side note, if you're looking for the large version of the PV, PV Fans has it on Tokyo Toshokan.

I like Musouka very much too. And this opening song comes with nice motion pictures. An innocent looking girl is on a tiger looking animal and they are running through a green meadow.(she is not holding a rein and there is no saddle on the back of the animal either. Anything is possible in anime's world. Good!) I think this motion pictures go along with the words of the song. And this song is easy to memorize. When the song is on air, I sometimes find myself singing to the song from TV. But I learned one night being easy to memorize doesn't always mean easy to sing. I tried to sing Musouka to karaoke and embarrassed myself. Karaoke version seems to me much faster than the one I have heard so many times.
I like the story of this anime too. I watched all the episodes. After finishing first half of the episodes, this anime looked to me like Fate Stay Night. The protagonist added new girls to his harem. But since a futuristic science was involved in the story, the story got complicated. Last three episodes were especially hard for me to understand.
Well,I like this song,The OP of the anime also is very cool. i still waiting the DvD's for utawarerumono.Like Fate/Stay Night they cut many things(some important)But i still like it. Hope that the others H-Games-Animes of the end of 2006 have this quality too ^^!
I loved this song and the series too. It was enjoyable to watch ^^ a bit confusing at times like what shozo said but yes, but was good :P
Just watching the OP made me watch this anime because it looked really interesting, seeing Mutsumi round the end made me wonder who she was, i still got one more ep to watch =/ gona watch later, can't wait for the conclusion. Usually i'm lazy to watch the video of songs but maybe i'll watch this one later
Garten, If you think that song is good...you should check out Suara's second album, Yumeji. The last song in her album called 'Kimi ga Dame' is the ED song for the last ep of Utawarerumono. It's a great song...and it's probably one of the longest song I have ever heard in my life because it is literally 7 minutes long! :P Go check it out.
