This month's Animage comes with a CD containing a few promotional trailers for the upcoming Spring anime series. Unfortunately the trailers are mostly for series that I'm not too familiar with so I'm not that excited with most of them. My brief impression of Utawarerumono is pretty good though. The show looks clean and nicely animated. Zegapain's trailer makes me sad because I was hoping for a good mecha this year and this one has too many bad CG in it. Demonbane looks kind of cheestastic that I am tempted to see it. Aa, Megami-sama looks the same as always. If you like the first season, then I supposed you'll like this one as well. There are other trailers included as well so if there is any that you want to see, please let me know. The complete list is included on the full page. Anyway, enjoy the trailers and tell me what you think about them.

o,O Demonbane is...well... a very short trailer = =,,
Utawarerumono seems like a mixture of Princess Mononoke and...Inuyasha? XD What on earth is it about anywayz? The animation seems very good though. I like it, mainly cuz the art was great and it seems interesting....hopefully it's not a monotone anime.
And well, I'm not that big of a fan for Ah! Megami-sama so yes, the art (and storyline) looks the same as always.
Thanks for providing the trailers! ^^
Utawarerumono looks very interesting considering it's a long and good trailer ^^
demonbain was... really, really short xD by the time it was over i was like: O_O that's it?
never saw the first series to ah megumi-sama so i didn't see the trailer :P
zagepain looks alright too, but i wanna see utawarerumono more :D loved the music in the bckground ^^ it's in my head now...
thanks for the trailers :D
I'll add my thoughts on the AMG trailer since I'm a huge fan of that series (been into it since Mara first showed up in Afternoon). Not much from the trailer other than the new series coming soon, but it does appear that there was a big bump in the animation quality. Either they really put a lot of budget into the first episode (where this is probably pulled from), or they actually got a nice boost in the budget for the entire season. Since it's a hot property, you could figure the licensing from Mediablasters might be helping.
If there is a Nana or Xxxxxholic trailer, I'd love it if you could post. Thanks as always for taking the time to do this.
Demonbane has a very short trailer, but the animation looks okay, i guess. some of the characters from the first trailer (Utawarerumono) look like some of the characters from Escaflowne or from soem other anime, i can't remember -_-
The anime looks good, though. I have a questions : are these all licensed anime?
Anyways, thanks for the trailers.
Tensai, unfortunately there is no trailer for Nana or xxxHOLiC.
Blackbird, this site should tell you if an anime is licensed or not:
http://www.andrewlb.com/fansub/pukiwiki.php?Spring%202006
I don't think any of those are licensed except Aa, Megami-sama.
Ah, My Goddess looks kind of boring. How many of those they plan to produce anyway? I'm not a big fan of RPG-like series so Utawarerumono looks kind of boring to me. Zegapain could be good depending on the story. Just because it has a bad CG doesn't mean it'll be bad.
I agree, the animation quality of AMG seems to have been bumped up (hope it not just the first episode deal.)
I like the characters so I'll of course watch the series.. but I'm looking forward for something beautiful and touching like Mushi-shi and Honey and Clover have been.
Maybe in the fall?
Thx for the trailers. Of those ones, I'm probably interested only in DemonBane. The characters remind me of Gun and Sword somehow.
Thanks for the trailers as always. Can you post the ones for Joshi Kousei, Hime-sama Goyoujin, Yoshinaga-san Chi no Gargoyle and Shoujo Changumu no Yume please.
Uwaaa... this probably sounds like a complete fangirl, but I immediately recognized that design from Demonbane! I remember it from my Newtype where I completely adored the designs I think it was a game yes? I did not remember the name though. Beautiful bishies and nice animation... I'm watching that!
Trailer's short? Downloading it now hmm and it's over 4MB too. Must be quality.
Thanks for posting these trailers. Could you please load up the trailer for simoun? I like the premise of the show ( ^^ not the lesbian part specifically).
Thank you for the trailers. I look foward to watching them!!
...Demonbane...so short!! lol. Too bad it wont be out till May T_T. sigh...cant wait till april
Utawarerumono seems like an interesting fantasy story where two worlds seem to be at war with each other. The production values seem very high.
Yoshinaga san no Gargoyle looks like a fun show based on the trailer alone. I will definitely try it. Many of the character designs are spitting images of character designs used in “Happy Seven”. I wonder if those two shows are related somehow.
I think the Shoujo Changumu no Yume trailer was in Korean but I’m surprised that there were no Japanese subtitles. I think the song played in the trailer was in Japanese. Are they going to air this show on the NHK without subtitles as well?! The story seems very interesting though and the art is very nice.
Yeah, I think Shoujo Changumu is in Korean but I am not sure since I can't speak the language. But it's definitely not Japanese. Actually, the song seems to be Korean as well, I think. I have to say that I didn't expect it to be a bit like Yakitate!! Japan.
Anyway, the other two trailers are available now. Sorry for being late but I was a bit busy today.
out of the four trailers I dl'ed yesterday, Utawarerumono looks nicely animated, Zegapain looks like your everyday gaint robot anime, and the bgm for the As Megami-sama is really nice. For Demonbane, there wasn't any decent snippet of the show, which made me a little more interested for it.Thanks for the trailers.
I was wondering if these trailers were anywhere else. Megaupload doesn't work for me at all and so it would be very helpful if someone would let me know if anyone or anywhere else does these trailers.
Well, someone has 'kindly' uploaded (without informing me) it as a torrent on Tokyo Toshokan, so you can try to download it there. Otherwise, I can only recommend that you use IE while using Megaupload. Megaupload usually don't work on PC using Mozilla. I know this because I also use Mozilla. So in the occasion that I need to use Megaupload, I have to switch temporarily to using IE.
Shoujo Changumu is in Korean, background songs and all. Though it's not rare to see stuff based in the old Korean days, it's one of the first I've seen for an anime. Hmm... maybe I should have continued studying Korean...
Thank you very Garten. I'll try using IE with megaupload aswell so I might not have to look around anymore. Thanks again.
