This episode is still entertaining as the one before it. However, after a while the series does fall into some rather predictable patterns. For example, almost in every episode there will be scenes of Kobayashi being obsessed with her appearances or money, Mika-Sensei becoming the target of Kitagawa's affection, and Kudo trying to make a move on Suetake. Thankfully, so far the writers have managed to create new situations that somehow make the patterns feel less repetitive. But I sometimes wonder if this show wouldn't have been benefited from a stronger storyline than the one it currently presents each week. Oh well, at least the characters are funny enough to carry the series. And even though the humour may seem juvenile at times, it has so far managed to illicit a good amount of laughter out of me.

Anyway, as usual the episode is divided into two separate themes. The first one is basically about the beginning of summer and a trip to a shopping mall. Apparently Summer has finally begin and it means Mika-Sensei gets some free time off when she doesn't have to teach the students who failed their examination. So she ends up lazing around the house enjoying the comfort of her air-conditioned room, much to the annoyance of her mother. When the air-conditioned is broken, however, Mika-Sensei has no choice but to accompany her father to a shopping mall so that she doesn't have to suffer from the summer heat inside the non-AC house. Along their way to the mall, Mika-Sensei and her father encounter some of her students and as usual we get to see them in their repertoire. This means we get to see Seki trying out some makeup at a beauty shop, Oyaji being mistaken as an old man by Mika's father, and Kobayashi working at fast food outlet so she can buy a brand-name bag that she's always wanted.
Mika and her father eventually arrived at the mall and proceed to go to supermarket at the basement floor of the mall. They then end up engorging themselves with the free sample foods that are provided by the supermarket. Hmm, I want to know if real Japanese supermarket provides that kind of free sample foods (steam buns, grilled unagi, pudding) because the only sample foods I see around my supermarket is Spam ham. Anyway, in the other part of the mall, Kudo is seen trying to decide which skimpy swimwear he should get for Suetake. He, however, becomes embarrassed when Tominaga tells him that she knows what he has in his mind. Back to Mika-Sensei, she and her father have decided to part ways in the mall because her father doesn't want to bore her while he goes shopping for Golf equipment. But Mika-Sensei ends up being lost in the mall later on and has to be pagered by the mall announcer just like when a child get lost inside a mall.

The second half of the episode focuses its story around the summer night festival that is held inside the town. The girls are seen wearing their Yutakas, even Mika-Sensei herself. Kobayashi looks really pretty here probably because in this one, she actually looks quite different from her usual Tomo-esque (of Azumanga Daioh) design. Anyway, the boys eventually join the girls in the festival. Much to everyone's horror, however, Seki arrives wearing a really short girlie Yutaka. Everyone then fears that they will lose Mika-Sensei in the crowd because she's so small. So they decide to tie balloons to Mika-Sensei's sash, much to her embarrassment. While everyone is busy trying to tie balloons around Mika-Sensei's body, Kudo sees an opportunity to grope Suetake hand, pretending that he thought it is Mika-Sensei's hand. His effort, however, is noticed by Tominaga and immediately earns her snide comment.
After this, everyone then starts to move around the festival. Mika Sensei is seen trying to catch a play a 'catch-a-fish' game and fails miserably, much to her annoyance. Similarly, Suetake also seems to have a difficult time trying to understand how the game works. So Kudo tries to 'teach' him so that he will have the opportunity to touch Suetake's hand again. Elsewhere, Seki tries to show off his shooting skill prowess. He tells Iincho that he can help her winning the Koro-chan figurines if she wants one. Unfortunately for Seki, the game requires him to shoot the Koro-chan figurines in order to win it and Iincho doesn't like it when someone tries to 'shoot' her beloved Koro-chan. So she 'accidentally' stomps Seki's foot to show him her displeasure. Anyway, the episode ends with everyone watching a firework near the lake and the students telling Mika-Sensei that they hope Mika-Sensei will never forget her time together with them.
