Rie Fu - Tsukiakari (45MB, for PSP/Quicktime) | YouTube version
Tsukiakari is the ED theme for Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha. The song is performed by Rie Fu, whom most people knew after her single, Life is Like a Boat. I've been looking forward to this PV but unfortunately the full song doesn't feel as powerful as the short version. I keep hoping that there will be a crescendo part of the song but it always ends on a plateu. The PV itself is nothing special but it's better than just showing the actress singing the song. It basically shows Rie Fu in various locales and in one instance, she can be seen jumping from a real world to a canvass. It makes me wonder if this has any significance to the actual Darker than Black plot.
Tsukiakari will be released on the 23rd of May this year.
Kanji/Kana version
There has't been a day I don't think about it

It's a nice song to accompany me to sleep.
Thank you for the song! ^_^
Still as pretty as ever ... what an woman! Thanks for the upload!
I'm glad that you're blogging music videos from time to time, Garten. This video is quite cool, it has a warm/dreamy feel to it. Rie Fu's voice is really nice, especially when she sings the verse.
I agree with you, the short version sounds much more better. The full version leaves less of an impact and the whole song is too...static, imo.
I think the most powerful verse melody-wise in the whole song is the bridge, the chorus afterwards goes along so well.
i think it fits better with the ED of darker than black and besides they should make a full version of that!
yeah, this isn't quite as good as the full versions of her other songs used for anime EDs(bleach, gundam seed destiny). it's a shame because i liked this ED the best out of all of them.
hmm.....this song for some reason vaguely reminded me of the 1st ending theme to Blood+.....i don't remember the name but I think it was sung by chitose hajime......i dunno maybe some part of the melody. It seems to be within the same vein of style anyways
I have to agree that listening to the long version makes one want a crenshendo.
For me the reason is because it reminds me of 2cm which has the similar slow calm but then crenshendos to a sweet part.
SlimeSmile:
It was 'kataritsugu koto'. Chitose Hajime is an excellent singer. You're right, the start to Tsukiakari and Kataritsugu Koto is very similar, so thats why it reminded you of Kataritsugu Koto. It reminded me too :)
IMHO Tsukiakari without the crescendo is better than having one. A diminuendo on the other hand, like in 'I wanna go to a place' would probably fit nicely though.
i like this song very much!!
but dun understand the lyrics(in japanese)
someone can translate for me....
i was wondering why her english was amazing...she lived in america and britain
