REIRA starring YUNA ITO - TRUTH (43MB, for PSP/Quicktime)
NANA the MOVIE 2 teaser (YouTube video)
This is basically the main theme for the second NANA MOVIE starring Nakashima Mika and Ichikawa Yui. I am a bit disappointed to know that Miyazaki Aoi doesn't reprise her role as Hachi in the second film since I thought she's perfect as the character. As it turns out, many other actors from the original film won't reprise their role. Nobuo Kyo has taken over the role of Ren from Matsuda Ryuhei. Matsuyama Kenichi who plays Shin in the first film (and L from Death Note movie) has been replaced by Kanata Hongo. Anyway, this is a beautiful looking PV that was shot in Scotland and features the actors who will play the TRAPNEST members in the second film. The song itself is nice but it's not as good or sad as Endless Story, which I think is one of the best songs I've ever heard. As a side note, I haven't had the chance to go through the lyrics with great care since I'm strapped for time so any correction is welcome as usual.
Kanji/Kana version
Let me stay with you
傷つけあうのに
何故こんなに
求めてしまうの
Don’t you know my heart
素直になれずにいたの
ただひとつの愛が欲しいのに…
めぐり逢えた奇跡を信じて
奏でて行きたい
あなたへのmelody
もしもすべてを
失くしてしまっても
この思いは永遠なの
It’s my Truth
Believe in yourself
つまずいたときも
歩いてきた 涙を拭って
Open up your heart
想い出の先にきっと
明日という 希望があるから
Give me your Loneliness
and I’ll give you my Tenderness
忘れないでいて
あの日みた夢を
離れていても
この胸にいつでも
感じている
あなただけを
It’s my Truth
It’s my Truth

Thank you for the video. I can't wait to see Yuna performing the song in the film.
Hey... thanks for posting this!!!
Hey Garten,
not sure about this but for this line..
明日という 昨日があるから
I think it's kibou instead of kinou
Thx Alpha, that was definitely one of the few that I wasn't sure last night. Kibou does make more sense than kinou sentence-wise.
I'm disappointed that Miyazaki Aoi won't be back, too. I've read that there were some things in the movie that she refused to do, which is why she was replaced. I'm not sure if this is true, though.
I'm actually glad Matsuyama Kenichi was replaced. Not that I hate him (I adore him as L), but I thought he looked rather odd and... well, too old to play Shin, who is the youngest character in NANA (I think). Hopefully the new Shin will be better.
By the way, is it just me, or does the new Ren look a little like Nobu in this PV? The song itself is fantastic.
I heard that Miyazaki Aoi turned down the role because of some scenes with sexual content that she'd have to do. That'd ruin her ''innocent girl'' image that people've of her.
Do they ALL know how to play instruments..like in the movie..r they really playing?
I too have heard rumors of why Aoi Miyazaki did not reprise her role as Hachi. Like Ayuu stated, it had to do with the sexual content. At the time her agent heard about the things she had to do, including a nude scene, and because she was not of age, they refused... Then again, it's just a rumor.
I cant wait to hear this song. Its surprising to me that this is the main theme rather than one starring Mika Nakashima, but then again, who doesn't love Yuna Ito and Reira?
By the way, is it just me, or does the new Ren look a little like Nobu in this PV?
I was confused as well at first until I found out that they've replaced Ren's actor with a new one.
Do they ALL know how to play instruments..like in the movie..r they really playing?
They don't look convincing to me but who knows, Japanese actors sometimes go out of their way to learn the role that they suppose to play.
Its surprising to me that this is the main theme rather than one starring Mika Nakashima
Just like the first film, there are actually 2 main themes. The one performed by Nakashima Mika is called 「一色」(ひといろ)- Hitoiro.
O.O !!! I luv it !! The song is so beautiful.
Why don't you blog again NANA anime ??? I miss them and there is no other blog that writes about the anime :(
Hm, I personally prefer Hitoiro over Truth. I dunno...I think Hitoiro shows off Mika's voice rather well. Truth is good too, but it's not like in the first NANA movie, where I like Endless Story more than Glamorous Sky.
Thanks for the PV. =D It is very beautiful...*_* I actually like this song much better than Endless Story. "Truth" showed off how strong her voice really is and it is also evident that her vocal skills improved tremendously since her debut. The music itself wasn't that great, though...in fact, her voice seems to overpower the music in this song. ^.~
I am deeply saddened by the fact that Aoi Miyazaki will not be starring in NANA2. I'm not so sure I want to watch the sequel to the movie anymore~ I believe she was that important to the movie. As an actress, I liked Miyazaki more than her replacement, Ichikawa. -.-;
I am excited about NANA's songs being composed by TAKURO of GLAY & the c/w song being written & composed by him too...
Is Takumi the one who act Shouji in the first movie ? lol i dont think Ren look like Nobu
i prefer Hitori to truth somehow. There isnt a PV but a radio rip of it.
Hitoiro - http://d.turboupload.com/d/1191936/NANA_starring_MIKA_NAKASHIMA_-_Hitoiro_Radio_.mp3.html
Eye For The Moon - http://d.turboupload.com/d/1191892/Eyes_For_The_Moon.mp3.html
dont know if its allow to post links here but anyway i uploaded the song, not gonna put it to waste, have fun ! and i guess im the only one that think Yuna is a little old for Reira LOL.
Reira is supposed to be quite old I think.. 2 years younger than Takumi, or was it a year? Hmmm, and I think she looks good as Reira... a bit lacking in the cute image though cos she looks really mature hehe..
I like Aoi Miyazaki! I think she plays Hachi well..
And yes Endless Story is many times better than Truth.. one of the best song I ever heard too =)
Aoi did a great job, too bad she is not gonna act for the second one.
Reira is 23years old if i remember correctly, if Yuna ever become cute i might even hate her LOL, might look weird if she tries to be cute.
I think "Removin' your sad" is supposed to be "Believe in yourself" =] Otherwise, I think the lyrics are pretty accurate. Thanks for doing this though. Now I can sing along~
Thank you! I couldn't figure out what Yuna was murmuring about in English until you mentioned it. I thought 'removin your sad' sounded wrong since Yuna can speak english well but that's the impression that I got from the song the first time I heard it. XD
How do you get, "Removin your sad," from "Believe in yourself," ? I didn't hear anything that came close to "Removin your sad" at all. I have the English translations to, "Truth," and after a while you kind of think that the person she's singing to is Shin. The lyrics gave me the feeling that she was being very truthful to her feelings and that she has hopes that they would one day reach the person she loves the most. The white dress she wears could be a symbol of innocence and purity while the red could represent love. The scenes were she isn't in a dress at all could be her "true" self. Reira Serizawa's true image that she wants Shin to see is when she's not in a dress at all but looks normal and casual. This was the impression I got when I watched the video three times. Yuna was not murmuring in English. Her English is really good in Truth. It sounds much better than alot of other Japanese singers who probably don't even know what they're singing in English at all. I'm more of a Trapnest fan than a Blackstones fan. There's always this "image" that I get when it comes to Reira Serizawa. She's supposed to be a really lonely and sad girl because everyone's telling her she can't act in a certain way or it'll ruin her image. She tells Shin this in the manga and hopefully we'll get to see more of Yuna's acting in the second movie =) Oh the video for NANA 2 is for Trapnest and I'm only saying it's a possibility that the person she's singing to is Shin because they have a little romance encounter in tha manga =D
I think I found some more corrections.
Tsunagaru hoshi ga sasayaki kakeru
Tomadou kokoro wo te ga shinagara
Deai to wakere hito wa sagasu no
Itsuka musubi aeru tsuyoi kizuna wa
tsunagaru = chirabaru
wakere=wakare
Also... tomadou kokoro wo te-ra- shinagara? I'm still having a hard time figuring it out. I need to stop singing along so I can make sure xD
How do you get, "Removin your sad," from "Believe in yourself,
Fatigue/bad speakers are not good combination. I'm also quite careless especially when I'm strapped for time, that's why I gave the warning. I can't believe I typed Wakere instead of Wakare and didn't notice it until now. -_-;;
Also... tomadou kokoro wo te-ra- shinagara?
Yeah, it's 戸惑う心を照らしながら (while illuminating the puzzled heart)
I don't know why, but I just found the video boring. Sometimes pretty, but mainly boring. To be honest, I really don't like having Yuna Ito as Reira. Her music is more of a diva pop star style, and doesn't reflect Trapnest at all. Her hair doesn't even have the characteristic waviness that symbolizes Reira. You can tell they were straining to include a guitar piece in that song so that Ren could look like he was playing.
Have you heard Olivia Lufkin's other songs, aside from A Little Pain? I think that a lot of her songs lean more towards the rock genre and better represent Trapnest. [can you tell that i am an olivia fan?]
It's a pity they couldn't get Olivia to play Reira. Do you think Yuna acted out the relationship btwn Reira and Shin in this movie?
I agree that Olivia would play a better Reira than Yuna. Don't get me wrong, Yuna's a great singer, I love her songs, but from my perspective, she just doesn't match the role of Reira. Can you see her having a fling with the current Shin in the movie? I can't see it. Olivia, on the other hand, looks (Japanese/American) more like Reira and she's already doing Reira's singing voice in the anime...hello...she's perfect! Too bad she couldn't be in the movie too.
x, Michelle, I kind of disagree with that. Yuna Ito is so sultry and seductive in the first film, I don't have problem believing that she is capable of seducing Shin.
And for some reason, I always get the impression that TRAPNEST is more of a ballad kind of group than a rock group, which is what BLACK STONES (Nana's group) is supposed to be.
I've heard the 2nd NANA song which was performed by Olivia. I think that one was good but I still prefer Yuna Ito's Reira song than Olivia's since I basically like ballad more than rock-based songs.
Hahaha, I was going to argue, but yes, Yuna Ito is indeed seductive and sultry (still like Olivia better though!). I do have to disagree on the Trapnest music part, though; if they weren't the same genre as Blast, then the two bands wouldn't be compared as much as they are in the anime/manga. But of course that is just my opinion; I'm biased since I prefer Olivia's rock to ballad-type songs. :)
Do they ALL know how to play instruments..like in the movie..r they really playing?
-In the first movie each members from the two bands all had to learn how to play either bass, guitar or drums. So I wouldn't be surprise if they're really ARE playing. But then again in some parts of this video, it makes me think they're not.
And yeah, I like Yuna and all but she doesn't really give me the Reira vibe. Wonder if Olivia would've of accepted the role if she was asked to,because I do have to agree that ballads aren't really Trapnest. I think people just think they are because that's how they were potrayed in the first movie.
Honestly, this video could've of been better. I did find a bit boring. I heard they paid 50 million yen to film this, so they should've of at least took advantage of it. @_@; The scenes are just so redundant.
Err...Is it really Trapnest?
Ren looks like...blah.
Takumi looks old.
But the video looks nice. The scenery is breathtaking.
I think this song is a kazilion times better than Endless Story 'coz Endless Story gets really tiring after like 10 listens but I've listened to this all day and Yuna's voice is so strong and beautiful in this.
did anyone see the official trailer for the movie? its about a minute and half long with a lot of little spoilers. where do you think they're going to end the movie? i've been reading the manga and i know what's going on but from what i saw in the trailer, i don't know where there'll be a happy ending. well...the movie's going to be good either way but i do miss the old cast (but the new shin's cute too).
Endless Story was a cover of a song from the US. At least that's what I remember. I used to even have the original. (I think it was in one of those 'first daughter of the president' movies... not sure if it was the one with Mandy Moore or Katie Holmes...)
I liked Journey best from the last movie. This song... It just seems too slow and poppy for Trapnest.

Anybody know where can I find all NANA's songs?? I'm searching for them since weeks!!! Please somebody help me...I' so sad!!!
PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!!!!
Give me some help!!!
Thank you a lot!!!
P.S:I'm sorry for my bad english...I'm still learning!!!
GARTEN: thanx 4 postin' the "TRUTH" lyrics...
SKY: thanx 4 postin' "HITOIRO" lyrics
i have to say truth and hitoiro are battling it out...
but i still kind of like hitoiro better than truth...
i didn't think that neither of the videos were good ... hitoiro was just to plain and truth
(i'm gonna agree with some people) it was boring... "what a waste of 5 million Yen !!!"
As for NANA 2...
i very much agree that Aoi Miyazaki is better than Yui Ichikawa... Aoi played Hachi very well, plus Aoi is much cuter than Yui...
i also agree that the new "Shinichi Okazaki a.k.a. SHIN", will portray the character much better than the one who did in the first one.
the new Ren seems mysterious i'm not sure whether he'll portray the character better than Ryuhei Matsuda from the first NANA...
"Olivia VS. Yuna"
they both have really nice voice..
Yuna is more of the diva...
Yet Olivia has more of the rock vibe...
so I think that OLIVIA will play REIRA much better. WHY?
1st: she matches the new SHIN better than Yuna. (it would look as if Yuna is molesting a young boy, and that will definitely not look right.)
2nd: her voice matches the rock band that TRAPNEST is.
(Remember: that is why TRAPNEST and BLAST always get compared to each other. they may have a different style, but a rock band is a rock band.)
so far TRAPNEST hasn't really rocked it out yet in the first movie.
3rd: Reira's character is suppose to be wild and cute (again, Yuna does not much the desription. she is too mature looking.)
i like hitoiro rather than glamorous sky.. endless story than truth ;D
i recognized takumi more than the new ren O_o he looks like he blends into the background
and yes, i agree than the new shin is better ;D *go kanata baby!* ;D
I agree that Olivia suits the character of Reira more.
Although Yuna's voice is absolutely superb, with it's amazing tone and all, but i'm starting to believe she only received the role to promote herself. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing Yuna, as a matter of fact, I'm a huge fan of her's.
Firstly, I agree that Yuna portrays a more mature look. She looks strong and independant.
However, the Reira in the manga depicts a more frail, more needy character, like Hachi. Reira is also emotional and portrays a sense of need.
Reira, in the first movie (although she had, what, 3 lines?), seemed a bit too.. maturely happy-go-lucky.
In short, Yuna is just too smart, too mature. Shes beautiful and has an amazing voice, as Reira, but there's more to Reira than that. Reira has a certain personality.
Olivia (although we are unable to see her onscreen) appears as though she has a much more youthful personality. She also seems a bit mysterious. I think she suits the role as Reira alot more than Yuna. But maybe she doesn't act, you never know. Oh well.
Olivia? who's that? Can anyone give me a link to her site or anything like that?
Kanata Hongo, that's a strange name... he is so young though... wow, it's amazing... lol he's cute.
I kinda agree with everyone... Yuna is mature and her songs have turn Trapnest into a girlish, poppy, ballad, band. But I will not say anything else because it all sounds too much like bashing-ness. So i will conclude with saying that Yuna Ito is awesome and I can't wait to see Nana 2. Oh and that I kinda sorta don't like mika Nakashima. XO
So I just went to see the Nana 2 trailer.... and all I have to say is wow... I mean not about the story or anything, but about Ichikawa Yui. I mean she's pretty and all, but she just isn't cute!!! OMg... it's so strange... I use to tell my friend (who is a nana addict) that I alwasy though hachi should be a bit more mature and Miyazaki Aoi didn't suit her... But now that Ichikawa Yui is playing the role... I'm absolutely rethinking my feelings. Hachi should be cute and everything Aoi made her to be, not like Yui... who I though is how she was supposed to be... omg... i'm getting messed up.... Anyone actually follow me?
The reason MIyazaki Aoi turned down the roll as Hachi in the second NANA movie is because she is going to be acting in next year's taiga drama (a annual, year-long historical fiction series that is brodcasted on NHK) which they are already filming. She also just starred in a movie with Tamaki Hiroshi called "Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru", so she was too busy to be in it.
It's a pity because I like Aoi alot more than Ichikawa Yui. I think Aoi is alot more Hachi-ish... But, shikatanai... T_T
Kenichi-kun~~~~!!! ToT
Yeah, when I heard that Aoi Miyazaki wasn't playing Hachi I was very disapointed as well. I ended up looking on imbd.com and like you said, I saw that she was starring in Tada Kimi wo Aishiteru (which looks pretty good)which was being filmed at the time Nana 2 was in production. Personally I find the new Nana very...ugly.. she's odd looking.
I doubt the sequal will be anywhere near as good as the original, but I guess we'll have to see.
okay, i totally disagree with all of you OLIVIA fans, she doesn't even look like Reira, when I saw the first movie i thought Yuna did a wonderful job as Reira, that is what I've always pictured her to look like in real life. OLIVIA probably couldn't suduce Shin. yeah she has some good music but it doesn't sound like Trapnest. Yuna's music goes real close to Trapnest. I agree with Tina Lim about how it sounds like she's singing to Shin. oh and Hayzie it would toally not look like Yuna is molesting a young boy. OLIVIA looks way too old and very psychotic if you ask me so it would look like she is molesting him.
My first reaction after downloading the Truth video is "they're spending dontknowhowmany million yen for THIS?". All the Trapnest members look so static and so obvious in their faking (especially Ren and his guitar). Yuna is the best but I guess that's because she's the real singer. But she's always shot from the same angle except when it's a close-up. Looks like they want to hide the fact that she's not model-thin +_+ I enjoy this song better when it's on mp3. Yuna's voice improved a lot from Endless Story, which is already nice.
Yuna's other song in the single, Take Me Away, sounds more like a Trapnest song because the arrangement's more rockish and complicated, the way I imagine Takumi's arrangements are. Olivia inspi' Reira songs are also like that.
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the Nana2 Trailer, that hachi wasn't played by Aoi. I missed her smile (refer to Nana1). She is much more Kawaii and sweet. She so fits into Hachi category >_<
I think whoever they selected to play the first, should continue the second part because we all so looking forward to see them and then got dissapointed. Sniff sniff...
I think I will have to convince myself to watch Nana2 since Mika is still in act.
I'll stick to Nana anime since it is much more comforting.. sob*
I Have Question Were Can I Get The Movie NANA 1 And NANA 2 I'm Desperate to See it Please Tell Me Were can i get it...
When is this movie coming out?
