Quantum of Solace - Teaser Trailer (Quicktime, various size) | YouTube version

Obviously this post has nothing to do whatsoever with anime so if you only like anime, feel free to skip this one. For everyone else, EON finally released the teaser trailer for James Bond 007's latest movie, Quantum of Solace. First thing first, if you're wondering about the title, the meaning is simple: a little comfort. It refers to what Bond probably would want after the incident that happened in the previous Bond installment, Casino Royale. It's unfortunate that Eva Green won't be in this film since she was really fantastic in Casino Royale. However, Gemma Arterton (St.Trinian's) and Olga Kurylenko (Hitman) are pretty good choices for Bond girls as well. The trailer looks pretty good as well, IMO. I was concerned that the writers will turn Bond into a perfect Ken doll now that he's a fully-fledged agent. Much to my relief, the guy still bleeds and gets bruised from his fight just like in Casino Royale. And with Craig acting as Bond, I hope the storyline holds up as well. I don't think there's anything else I can say but hit the cut for tons of screencaps of the trailer.

I'm glad that you brought up that short trailer cause I didn't know that it was released yet. I'm waiting for this movie and the trailer really sweets me the time since the movie will be in the theatre. Nice screenshots like always.

I was also afraid that the second Bond Movie with Daniel Craig would make a turn back to the older ones. But from the trailer I can see that they keep their path from Casino Royale. Bond is much more human now, he bleeds, he have feelings and he fights with his hands instead of some futuristic stuff from Q.

I miss Eva Green but it was clear that she wouldn't return. I really hope that the two Bond Girls will be a good replacement for her.

I believe that the produces decided absolutly right with Daniel Craig as Bond. He gave a totally new dimension to Bond which no one of the older ones (Connery maybe) were able to do. It's nice to see him acting and don't giving a shit about all the negative shouts he must have heard about him. Go on Daniel. Bond died for me with Brosnan playing him (I don't really like this movies) but you revived him!

I never got into the older Bond movies but Casino Royale & Daniel Craig really brought the series up from cheesy to relevant.

Depends on one's definition of 'hot' but yeah, there are several Bond girls that Bond doesn't bang. There is this one girl in "For Your Eyes Only" that Bond doesn't bang. She's kind of too young for him.

Well, Tracy (Bond's wife - got killed during their wedding) is referred to many times in several films. Vesper Lynd will also be mentioned in this upcoming film. But if you're referring to a Bond girl who physically reprises her role, I don't think there's any so far. Although IIRC, one Bond girl actress plays a completely different role in Casino Royale.
