This is not a funny episode but I was kind of expecting it since it deals mostly with Kyouya's background and how he got to meet Tamaki. I think this also sets up the conflict which will happen on next week's episode. I think the series will end in a life-goes-on style because there is no way the anime writers can end this adaptation conclusively while the manga is still on-going. In addition to this, judging from the positive reaction to the series, I doubt the writers would want to waste a chance to revisit the series once the manga's story is over. Anyway, here's hoping that the writers don't mess up next week's festival story. I am not sure how they are going to change the story from a light-hearted romp to something that looks kind of angsty, judging from the preview.
The episode begins with the Host Club having a Kotatsu-themed party, surprising some of the guests because this is the first time they saw a Kotatsu. Tamaki points out that Kotatsu is normally required in Winter but they decide to have it in advanced for their visitors. Because of this, he welcomes everyone to the Host Club's Kotatsu "happy circle" service. Haruhi is not impressed by this. She wonders if Kotatsu really is that interesting and if this 'Kotatsu service' was Tamaki's idea. Kyouya confirms Haruhi's guess and asks her what is it that bothers her. Haruhi tells Kyouya that she knew Tamaki and Kyouya set up this Host Club but she wonders why someone as cool as Kyouya wants to be in this crazy club. Much to Haruhi's surprise, Kyouya tells her that the reason is because the club is crazy. The story started 2 years ago, when he was a middle school student. Back then, Kyouya was approached by another student while he was walking alone.

The student then told Kyouya that his father attended the party to commemorate the completion of Ootori's hospital yesterday and got to meet some distinguished people. He thanked Kyouya because of this. Kyouya introduced the student as the son of a major electrical maker. Another student then appeared and asked Kyouya if he became a student president again. Kyouya pointed out that this boy is the son of a major department store owner. More and more students then came and sucked up to Kyouya. Kyouya himself was no different from them. When a student asked if Kyouya wants to come to his villa in the mountain to do star-gazing, Kyouya immediately agreed because he had interest in establishing business with the boy's father. Kyouya's older sister, Fuyumi was surprised that Kyouya would go to a mountain just for that reason. Kyouya pointed out that his host also expects him to come. He believed that this is a pure 'give' and 'take' situation.
Fuyumi argued that the motivation is anything but pure and believed that maybe those who invited Kyouya really wants Kyouya to see some stars. She thought it's romantic to deepen friendship under the starlit sky. While saying this, Fuyumi tried to tidy up Kyouya's closet but ended up making a mess of it. Because of this, Kyouya asked his sister not to mess with his closet. Fuyumi, however, argued that she feels like sorting Kyouya's clothes. Cue in more mess on the floor. Fuyumi knew that their father is strict and therefore Kyouya probably feels a heavy pressure from the old man. Having said that, because he's different from his elder brother, she believed he can take things easy. In response, Kyouya told his sister that he knows that he is not the successor to Ootori's business. He is not the one who can get on the route that will easily take him up to the top just like his brothers. He has expectations to respond to and can't just stand up ahead of his brothers.

Kyouya compared his responsibility within the family to drawing a perfect picture on a canvass within a splendid frame. When Fuyumi asks Kyouya if he's enjoying it, Kyouya pointed out that it has nothing to do with enjoying it or not enjoying it. Kyouya pointed out how after graduating from the medical school, his eldest brother ended up working at the hospital just like his father. His second brother acquired MBA after graduated from the medical school and ended up lending support to his older brother. And then there was Kyouya...who one day was asked by his father to be a good friend of the Suoh family's son who just moved in to the school. Kyouya revealed that Tamaki is the child that the chairman had when he was overseas. After divorcing his real wife, the chairman had no other child so he decided to make the son of his lover into his successor. Fast forward a few days later, Kyouya and the vice president met the newly arrived Tamaki.
Tamaki immediately charmed the vice-president after he praised her straight, beautiful hair. He told her that just like her hair, her heart must be beautiful as well. After a light introduction, Kyouya decided to show Tamaki the rest of the school. He, however, was caught off-guard when Tamaki wanted to know if he has a Kotatsu inside his house. Tamaki is of the opinion that sitting on the floor is a charming culture so he promised himself to try it once he arrived in Japan. Unfortunately, his house is western-styled. Upon hearing this, Kyouya immediately likened Tamaki to one of those foreigners who are obsessed with Japanese culture. He then apologised to Tamaki, claiming that his family doesn't have a Kotatsu either. Tamaki immediately became depressed upon hearing this, asking Kyouya if Kotatsu is not the symbol of a family's 'happy circle'. This involves putting your leg inside the kotatsu and engage in a little argument with family members.

In order to stop Tamaki from being upset, Kyouya told the guy that he will build a Kotatsu in his Japanese-styled room. Tamaki suddenly cheered up again, calling Kyouya his best friend. Because of this he asked if they can call each other by first name from now on. Kyouya tried to say "No" but his objection was drowned out by Tamaki yelling out "Bravo, Kyouya!! Mon Ami, Mon Ami". Fuyumi was surprised when she found out that Kyouya becomes Tamaki's best friend after only one day. Kyouya told Fuyumi that maybe Tamaki does not understand the meaning of 'best friend'. He also wanted Fuyumi not to mess his closet anymore. The day after, Tamaki came to Kyouya to ask for his help: he wants to go to Kyoto. He admitted that he got sidetracked Kotatsu. However, the first thing he actually wanted to do after he comes to Japan is to go to Kyouto. Tamaki basically wanted to go and see: The Great Buddha in Nara, Goryokaku, Shiisaa and Namahage.
Kyouya pointed out that all of those are not located in Kyoto. Tamaki is shocked by this revelation and becomes depressed again. Because of this, Kyouya offered to take Tamaki to all of those places one by one. He pointed out that they can go to Kyoto next week, then on the next holiday, they can go to Okinawa. Tamaki becomes happy once again, this time proclaiming Kyouya as "God" and "The Great Buddha". Kyouya is amused by the fact that after only knowing Tamaki for 2 days, his status has been promoted to 'God'. Because of this, one week later Kyouya and Tamaki visited Kinkakuji (The Golden Pavillion) in Kyoto. While Tamaki takes a lot of portraits of the temple, Kyouya made an observation that Tamaki somehow managed to adapt himself into the class. At one point, Fuyumi realised that Kyouya is still awake at night and was surprised when she found out that Kyouya was reading Hokkaido sightseeing guide.

When Fuyumi asked why Kyouya didn't just get a driver, Kyouya told her that it's because Tamaki didn't want to use driver. He then complained about Tamaki, claiming that when they were in Kyoto, Tamaki insisted on seeing Daimonji even though it's still Spring. And in another instance, while they were eating Okinawa Soba, Tamaki suddenly wanted to compare the soba to Shinshuu Soba. And when Tamaki didn't get what he wants, he'd apologises for being selfish but did it with that kicked puppy look. Despite this, Kyouya felt that the preparation for the next trip is perfect. Unfortunately for Kyouya, Tamaki refused to go to Hokkaido that week. Tamaki believed they should be studying for their upcoming exam. He, however, agreed to go with Kyouya once the exam is over and advised Kyouya to study a little bit as well. Kyouya was livid to hear this but he managed to calm down by reminding himself that Tamaki is the son of Suoh chairman.
After noticing Kyouya's messy room, however, Fuyumi thought to herself that this is the first time she saw Kyouya having 'fun'. Kyouya didn't see Tamaki after this but during a weekend, Fuyumi told him that she's finally met his friend. Inside the house, Kyouya realised that Tamaki is in the middle of playing piano for his family. Fuyumi claimed that hearing the song makes her want to cry. Kyouya admitted to being surprised when he first heard Tamaki's piano performance. He even shed some tears while listening to the song that Tamaki plays. After Tamaki finished his performance, he apologised to Kyouya for coming in without warning. Kyouya told himself that in that case, Tamaki should go home right away. Instead of saying that, however, Kyouya asked Tamaki about his preparation for exam. Tamaki didn't answer the question and instead made a comment about the spacious nature of Kyouya's house. He wondered if it's bigger than his house in France.

Kyouya told Tamaki that he doesn't know about Tamaki's house in France but he believes Suoh main mansion is very big. Much to Kyouya's surprise, however, Tamaki admitted that he doesn't know because he lives in a smaller 2nd mansion. Tamaki then changed the conversation by asking Kyouya if he's the future successor to Ootori's business. Kyouya is annoyed by this questions and wondered if Tamaki is looking for a fight. Despite this, Kyouya honestly told Tamaki that he can't possibly be one since as Tamaki saw before, he has two older brothers. Kyouya believed that he'll most likely end up working for his brother. Tamaki admitted to being surprised after hearing this because he thought that Kyouya will be a much greedier person than this. He also guessed that Kyouya is not happy with his current status quo. Tamaki wondered if it's okay for Kyouya to give up like this. Kyouya replied by saying that the problem is not whether he gives up or not.
As he clenched his hand, Kyouya told Tamaki that the reason is because it's been decided that way. He then rudely told Tamaki that surely someone who inherited a house by default should understand this. Kyouya immediately shocked upon hearing his own words because he just revealed his true nature to Tamaki. Tamaki, however, informed Kyouya that it has not been decided that he'll be the one who'll become Suoh successor. He explained that he's hated by his grandma. Because of this, he's not their heir at all right now. And although he has no interest in his father's job, Tamaki believed that he has good looks which he can use. Failing that, he can use his intelligence to become a scholar or else, he can build an animal kingdom. Kyouya was annoyed upon hearing Tamaki's light-hearted response and finally snapped at Tamaki. Kyouya threw the cofee table and gripped Tamaki's shirt, asking the other guy how he managed to give up so easily.

Kyouya told Tamaki that he and Tamaki are different. Kyouya believed that as long as one tries hard, one possesses the chance to go upwards. Because of this, he wondered why Tamaki doesn't try harder or use Tamaki's own advantageous position. Kyouya believed that if he has power, he won't lose to his brother. However, because he's just the 3rd son, he's not allowed to go 'beyond the frame'. In retaliation, Tamaki told Kyouya that the one who's not trying hard is Kyouya. If Kyouya wants to exceed his brother, he should just go and do it. Tamaki believed that the one who decided to give up is actually Kyouya. Kyouya was stunned to hear this because he realised that this is the truth. An imaginary brush was suddenly seen outside the picture frame, painting a bright red colour. Tamaki then changed the topic conversation and asked Kyouya where the Kotatsu is. Kyouya laughed after hearing this and told Tamaki that Kotatsu is for Winter use.
The camera then shows a shot of an imaginary painting inside Kyouya. This time around, however, the paint has gone out of the frame and creates a large red flowers on the wall/ceiling. 4 months later, Tamaki came to Kyouya's house to tell him a great idea: he wanted them to set up a club as soon as they enter high school. He believed they can harness their good looks and the name of the club will be the Host Club. At first Kyouya rejected the idea and told Tamaki that if he's sleepy, he should go to sleep. Tamaki, however, didn't give up and started to list the other members that he wants: Hunny, Mori, and the twins. Kyouya told himself that the more he heard the plan, the more trivial it sounded. However, when he shares Tamaki's world, Kyouya felt that he too will be able to see a painting/scenery that is different from the one that was in front of him. The episode ends with Kyouya smiling towards the green tea in front of him just like his sister, Fuyumi.

Impression:
Once again the series shows that Tamaki is the glue that ties the Host Club members together. This episode basically confirms that the main reason Kyouya went along with the idea of making a Host Club was because he wants to see 'a different painting' from the one that was in front of him. This is why no matter how crazy the club could be sometimes, he tolerated it rather well. Without Tamaki, I doubt Kyouya would have realised that he basically cut his own chance to be considered as an Ootori leader by his father. Unfortunately this episode also shows that Kyouya can be an unpleasant person at times. I was actually surprised that his sister, Fuyumi, turned out to be a kind and down-to-Earth person. After all, everyone else in her family look like a bunch of cold fish, especially her seemingly tyrannical father. I was particularly amused when Fuyumi tried to tidy up Kyouya's closet/wardrobe and ended up messing things up instead.
Anyway, it was a good thing that Kyouya was asked by his father to befriend Tamaki. Although his original intention was to get something out of Tamaki, I think Kyouya ended up caring about Tamaki than he's willing to admit. Speaking of Tamaki, I never expected him to be a fan of all things Japanese. I admit that I also share similar interests with Tamaki. I like some of the things that Japan has on offer such as their foods, cultures, and prompt public transportation. The country as a whole is fascinating, in my opinion, even more so than anime. I think it's amazing how each prefecture has its own individual food, culture and custom which still survive up to this day. I also like the fact that the country has 4 seasons and each season is usually celebrated with different festivals and ceremonies. I've been to Japan 3 times now and the funny thing is, everytime I was there, my desire to watch anime seems to be lower somehow.

On next week's episode: It's a combination of the festival plot from volume 6 and some original storyline.
Wow..Tamaki hugging Kyoya O_o From the screenshots, the next episode (ep 25) seems really interesting.. Makes me wonder what the last episode would be like ='(
O.O....OMFG!!! XD yayy!! when are u goin to make the summary??? *o*(i'm dying here...XD)
Nice...Kyouya showed feelings =D =D ... seems like only Tamaki can get some reaction out of Kyouya..maybe that's why they're bestfriends??
Next ep: Kyouya got slapped o.O .... i'm all curious now... I think ep 25 is the most wanted ep, because of the title and it's not from the manga?
It looks like Tamaki drove Kyoya mad before becoming friends! very cute! I can't wait for next week's ep! It will be good!
definetely I find it a bit better than the manga, btw this explains sum of the strange flashbacks KYOYA HAD IN EP 17
looks interesting!
next episode is part of the festival arc???!!! *resisting fangirlish tendacies* it's almost over *weeps* I can't wait until this ep....or the next one...but after T_T(last ep.)...why is life so unfair?
*emo-moment please excuse for the wild range of emotions*
Yikes, what's going on in the preview? Isn't that Kyouya's father smacking Kyouya? Now I'm all anxious, as if the title of that episode itself wasn't bad enough...
But, I'm getting a little ahead of myself here; I need to see 24 first! Tamaki looks sooo sweet all curled up in that quilt-thingy (that I can't remember the name of right now -- ko-something, I think).
**goes off to find a raw somewhere**
this ep. was ok, i liked to learn about how tamaki and kyoka meet. well next ep looks good, but i can't belive that that is going to be the second to last ep!! well by
After watching this episode, I really sympathize with Kyoya having to put up with Tamaki's crazy antics for about five months, then some more when they do become friends. However, I think Kyoya created half of the problem himself because of his own expectations for everyone, including himself. Tamaki ruined his idealogy, which led to Kyoya's breaking point...
ahh i cant wait to see this episode!!! but i think in the preview maybe kyoya gets slapped because his father finds out hes in the host club or something and its a waste of time or its stupid i dont know just a guess!? hehe
Kyouya's facial expressions = priceless.
The preview for next ep - everyone's face looks so serious! I can't believe they're going to squash that entire festival story into two episodes. T_T
By the way, the new banner is amazing! I can't wait 'til the DN anime comes out. Will you be adding that series to this site as well when it comes out?
Ep 25 is going to rock 8D
Tamaki looks so cute! >W
I can't believe they're going to squash that entire festival story into two episodes.
I suspect the anime writers will exclude the tournament. That's a shame because I want to see Kuze chewing those oranges.
By the way, the new banner is amazing! I can't wait 'til the DN anime comes out. Will you be adding that series to this site as well when it comes out?
Thanks. And yes, I will definitely cover Death Note
aww an i thought they were gonna extend the time of the last episode as a treat for us .. looks like they arnt now T_T but thnx for the update garten ^^
Tamaki suddenly cheers up again, calling Tamaki his best friend.
^ The second Tamaki is meant to be Kyouya, I assume?
The second Tamaki is meant to be Kyouya, I assume?
Ah yes, sorry about that. It's been fixed now.
Varlor wrote: "Is it just or Tamaki looks a lot younger here?"
Judging from their uniforms, both Tamaki and Kyoya are in middle school during this episode. So yes, they would look a bit younger then than they do now. ^_^
-warning quick fangirlism- OMG LITTLE KYOUYA!! HES SO ADORABLE!!!! EEEEE!!!! -end brief fangirlism...
i love kyouya's expressions throught this hes so expressive compared to now *_*;
WAAAAAH OMG SQUEE *flail*
Kyouya/Tamaki... *_______________* ♥ I LOVE that shot of Tamaki hugging Kyouya. He looks so enthusiastic and eeee!!! I need to search the raw after this.
Next week's episode... SCHOOL FESTIVAL YAY. But what's with Kyouya's father smacking Kyouya? Ack, that original storyline they put in better be good...
/fangirling :3
There is only one thing that suprised me about this ep....and that was Inoue Kikuko seiyuuing as Fuyumi. I didn't see that coming. It was very nice to see her make an apperance outside of Ah! Megami-sama Sorezore no Tsubasa.
(Notice: the following comment below has seem to occur for asian people who have studied and lived in an asian country with their family for more than 5+ years)
As for Kyouya, I could relate. In an asian culture/family, it is very hard for a younger brother/sister to have to surpass or live up to the expectations from their parents. Even If the older brother/sister succeeds or fails, the pressure is still on the younger brother/sister because the parents expects the same results in terms of success. They might even want them to surpass their eldest brother/sister. Lastly, asian parents never tolerate failure. It happens a lot. It can cause unbelievable amount of stress and problems that could be beyond your imagination.
Kyouya has much bigger pressure because he has 2 brothers who are already highly successful by going to medical school and earning a MBA. The pressure has been eating him up inside.
For those who never studied or lived in an Asian country would find it hard to understand what I'm saying.
However, for the rest of the people who knows what I'm talking about, you must sympathize what Kyouya is going through as it still occurs today in society.
Exactly, why do you think asian students attend to cram school? Mainly, it's because of this reason.
I really like this episode, mostly cuz Kyouya's background interest me. The multi-expression Kyouya is so adorable. Just love the rage that Tamaki causes him. Makes me dizzy with happiness.
Haha, behold....True personality of Kyouya revealed.
thanx for the summary~! its hard to wait for subtitled episodes. i love Tamaki's laughing at the end when Kyouya tells him to go to sleep if he's sleepy ^^ kyouya's laugh is just creepy
i'll say that i'm not very happy right now, cause just like you, i have the very feeling that this is going to end in a life goes on end, a furuba style, because somehow, even with many differences, we can't deny that OHSHC and Furuba are very similar, that is to say, since the begining we have a girl surrounded with a lot of cute boys and many other similarities, i mean, we all loved fruits basket, but the end was so incomplete, they had'nt come even to the third part of the manga, and then we all remain with desire of a second season(i'm still waiting, they say that there will be one), so i guess the same is going to happen with OHSHC, i'm saying this cause i feel that just like Furuba did, the manga of OHSHC has a long way to go, meanwhile we will be here waiting till the end, now they are trying to cover the festival story in just two episodes, the last two episodes, oh well, what do you think garten sama?
Bravo! Kyouya! Mon Ami! Mon Ami! I love it! It was serious and funny! But I love the cheering Tamaki!
I understand what you mean, Taishi. Although I was raised in England and not in my birth country, The Philippines, I do understand the expectations that asian parents have and the unpleasantness that follows when you do not or cannot succeed as well as they would like.
Back to Ouran, though: I think it would be revolutionary if the anime follows a life-goes-on sort of ending and perhaps imply at the same time that the heroine does not need to fall for one of the male characters. It would be no different to Fruits Basket in this sense, but then again, the actual ending of Ouran hasn't been drawn and we know that Yuki doesn't actually end up with who we think he does.
Im soo happy, i am soo looking foward to the festival episode, because SPOILER STARTS
Haruhi starts to like tamaki***
Spoiler ends
I love this anime and i think it should get a second season, keep your fingers crossed!
hi I know the episode 25-26 i think i read it on manga tamaki's grandmother hate him because his father loved a harlot.. tamaki tried to embrace?? his grandmother but instead his grandmother told him his filthy ithink it;s in the ending of episode 25 then hikaru and kaoru's parents also came (i don't know if it's 26) but i like the ending and what haruhi's comment towards tamaki it's really sweet! after kyouya told her tamaki's past and omg tamaki is so hot!
Aaah. I agree about watching less anime in correspondence with visiting Japan. I know that if I ever acquire my dream of living there, I probably wont watch anime at all. I may watch series if they are AMAZING, though.
In anycase, I loved this episode. I really like these two, Kyoya and Tamaki, now. Tamaki was adorably crazy with his love for that which is 和風.
It will be such a shame if they just end the story here..it deserves a second season *crossing fingers*
It will be so much of a goner if it will end up like fruits basket but all in all it depends on how the management of this show will decide & i know that end decision results can be at times disappointing
hope they'll find their resolve that can serve everyones best interests
Dear ouranfan,
Please to God put some damned spoiler warnings next time.
Cordially yours,
xoxoxo
thanks for the summary ^^ i just watched the raw, and i quite like this episode. hope to be able to watch the subbed ep soon.
i really liked the image of the huge flower on the wall overflowing (?) from the original painting. would you be able to get a screencap of that? i'm sorry for such a stupid request, but i can't possibly get my hands on any raws thats why.. >.
(i'm sorry for double-posting = = the msg before got cut off prolly cus of my stupid arrow sign... gah... the following is the rest = =)
lastly... i was looking at the last scene where kyouya was looking into his tea. was there a tealeaf that was standing (?) straight from in the tea? i think the japanese things it's an omen for something, although i cant recall exactly what it is (good or bad)... seems to me to be some "prediction" for future episodes?
Judging from the preview screencaps the story from the festival would be tweaked?(Kyouya being slapped)
=Spoilers!=
Well because in the manga Kyouya dose not get slapped by his father o_o
And I hope they don't exclude the tournament because its really good, especially with Tamaki's dad's secret notes and Kuze the orange-man!
I've heard about that tealeaf yesterday. That means fortune in a near future, I believe. ^^ Can't tell you for sure though.
By the way, this episode was someway funnier than chapter 33, still dramatic. I mean - I so love it, and kyouya's facial expressions! :3
Well I seriously don't understand why would people relate Ouran with Furuba. Yes, I myself is a fan of Furuba but then seriously, it is not necessary to compare them both. Ouran IS Ouran. Furuba IS Furuba.
I myself think the ending of Furuba is indeed nice and sweet. Isn't that what we, all Furubas' fans want? For them to stay together happily. If the ending were drawn that Tohru ends up with either one of them, isn't that will upsets the rest of the others Tohru's pairing fans as well? It's an open ending where you can use your imagination to however you want.
So whatever Ouran's ending will be, IT IS OURAN's ending. Not related to whatsoever other anime.
Sorry if this post is bit out there, but seriously, just try to sit back and enjoy Ouran :)
Ep 25 starts a new arc? I thought it was only 26 episodes?
Oh what an interesting episode!!!
Btw Garten, you are not a japanese? Reading from the 'impression' that you mentioned you have been to Japan for 3 times. Oh darn I thought you are a Japanese all this while as you watched RAW anime and review them rather detailed. Thanx :O
Btw if you don't mind me asking, have you learn Japanese since young to be so fluent in it?
Well... you go to school for it, ne? There are plenty of people that aren't native Japanese that can understand the language. Who do you think are the fansubbers?
i really really lyk this episode!!
do you think the liking haruhi a little is the reason y kyouya's dad slapped him..*.*?
to all people who already has ouran epi. 25:
PLEASE..please upload it in youtube...pls..
I'm just gonna say two things....
What's up with Fuyumi nee-san's obsession with Kyouya's clothes?!?!
I loved how hiss room kept getting more and more buried in his clothes. ^o^
Kyouya ROCKS!!!! His facial expressions in this episode were amazing!!!
ooohh very nice episode ^_____^ kyouya and tamaki look so cute
I agree with u Taishi, even though I wasn't raised in Asia my parents r very strict regarding the expectations they have for me, I'm the third child and my dad expects me to surpass my older sis and bro, which I already did (not being cocky), but it is still not enough 4 them. I can relate to Kyouya thats why I liked this episode so much.
This epi. reminds me a lot of how me and one of my best friends met. at first it was like wow this persons nice but then it was all like what did I get myself into. I was playing the Tamaki part! lol! I love this epi. and Kyouya cries!!
There was a single tea leaf floating at the top of the green tea at the very end which signals good luck, I think, so that could be symbolic towards why Kyouya goes with the idea of the host club too.
Hmmm... Tamaki really has that kind of tendency, carefree yet unconsciuosly giving people ideas and views that could mean alot... Kouya is a very serious person whom life is full of pressure. THey complement each other... the two of them are very lucky, With those kind of friends around them... If only everyone has one...
I finally saw a sub of this episode, and while it did make me understand Kyouya much better, it also made me realize how much I like Tamaki's character. Yes, Tama-chan can be a narcissistic goofball from time to time, but I really like how he maintains his happy innocence despite the hardships he has in his life. Granted, he doesn't have much in the way of financial hardship, but aspects of his family life would definitely be enough to bring some people down. His attitude and personality always make me so happy! ^_^
And I'm glad to see that there is some fire burning in Kyouya -- it's a nice change from the cool demeanor we usually see!
I also really liked this ep., it explains the close relationship that Tamaki and Kyouya has better. Apparently, the next 2 eps. are a mixture of an original story line (ie. not from the manga) and some from the manga.
Eps. like these really show character development which I like, but the preview makes me wanna cry 'cause I want to see it soo badly, and I learn french so I can't watch it raw. T_T
I liked all the flashbacks of how Tamaki started up the host club and it sort of leads to the end. I definately think there will be a second season, but the manga may go on indefenately since it seems so popular, so we might never get a true ending... I guess we will have to use our imaginations for who Haruhi get with (or not)huh?
WAHHHH!!!! when will the episode 25 be out??!!!! IM STARTING TO DIE HERE!!!! wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! ilove you hunny-chan i wanna eat cakes w/ yah!!!- secret admirer...^^,
Hi everyone! I have a little question, what's the name of the song tamaki plays in the 24 episode?
Just watch this episode, its quite intriguing in the sense that people choose to be closed to the persons they know they will gain in the end.
hi! i just love ep 24 i can watch it over and over again! does anyone know what is the name of the music piece tamaki plays its so beautiful!!!!
thanks n ouran host club is the best!
Chopin, Nocturne in E-flat Major, Op 9, No 2
if im not wrong =D
It's not Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat, Op 9, No. 2. It sounds like a Chopin, but definitely not that one. Does anyone know what else it could be?
=] i'm glad that some people who are interested in Japan are interested in their culture and not just everything about anime. You don't know how frustrating it is to hear people talk about how they know everything about Japan just by watching the anime, etc.
could it be the fantasy impromptu?...chopin, i meant...
if it's not, does anyone else know what it is?
i REALLY wanna learn it.........>_>
So after many, many months of curiosity I finally found the answer to the numerous questions about the piano piece that Tamaki plays in this episode. According to this site - http://www.krysyuy.net/forums/index.php?topic=2526.msg79318 - the site member actually wrote to the music director and asked what this piece was. Apparently, it's an original that Yoshihisa Hirano (MD) composed. So it's not a Chopin piece, but an original.
