Noto Mamiko - Aizome (54MB, for PSP/Quicktime)

Aizome is the ending theme for Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori. The song was actually written specifically by Savage Genius for Noto Mamiko to perform in the series. However, they decide to release their own version of the single a month before Noto Mamiko's version came out. Between the two, Noto Mamiko's version is the better one of the two. I just think this song is not meant to be performed in upbeat tempo. Noto Mamiko's version is perfectly haunting and melancholy, which is very appropriate for the series. The PV itself is creep-tastic and morbid right from the start when the video zooms in on what looks like an accident/murder site. I won't say the rest but the ending startled me a little bit when I first saw it.

Kanji/Kana version

I've never seen Noto Mamiko singing prior to this video. It seems many VA in Japan can actually sing.

The PV fits the mood very nicely. Although, I don't see a lot of PVs sang by seiyuus. The last one I saw was Hirano Aya with Bokuen Desho Desho

Oh and for that overhyped Mai Hime/Otome fan...

Garten is not touching that series until he touches Genshiken OVA. I have bugged him for months to watch Genshiken OVA, but he couldn't since he didn't have the time. There is absolutely no way that he is watching Mai Otome ova episode 2. Otherwise, he would be known as a liar. Besides, Genshiken OVA2 was also released last week...which I will be watching later tonight :P

..........

Is this an extortion? It must be an extortion. *sigh* and here I was planning to sleep earlier tonight.... T_T

Don't worry guys, you'll get your Genshiken OVAs/Mai Otome OVA reviews sometimes this week. Seriously, I'll squeeze them in this week somehow.

It's not extortion. Just a friendly reminder :P

You won't regret it. I just finished watching episode 2. It was fantastic :P

Well, there's a LOT more Yukino in Zwei 2, so that should get you going... along with a bit more Tanaka Rie than there was in the first OVA (namely, none), and she gets to go from seductive to psycho in about three minutes. :D

lol...looks like you're trying to plead your case about the ova for Otome.

I woudn't mind doing it myself.....except its for Genshiken.

In OVA episode 2, lots and lots of time focused on the one and only, Madarame :P

Thank you very much for uploading this PV. This one is very good. I have been listening to her voice for a long time since I like it a lot. It sounds delicate, myterious and sometimes funny. But this is the first time for me to see her face. Her hair style looks to me to be similar to the one of Enma Ai. Does she always wear such a long hair? Or since this is the ending song of Jigokushojo Hutakomori, she wears that hair?

may be a spoiler---

I couldn't figure out what exactly happened at the end of the PV. What did she dig out from the dirt? Is it her own head? And she seemed to me to bend over it. Does it mean she was kissing on her own face? If it was so, she seems to be a little narcissist.

The video's similiar to a crime scene...however, seeing Noto Mamiko's head in the dirt was kinda creepy
