Wow, the video looks like it would be pretty cool. I love their outfits and look. Not as cool as Mana/Malice Mizer/Moi Dix Mois though, but cool nonetheless.

I am not sure what access code you're referring to but all you have to do when you get to the first page is to choose the 'free' option. You then type in the recognition code that is shown on the page to confirm you're a human and not a bot After that, wait around 60-70 seconds before you are given the download link.

Speaking as a fan of the band, it obviously hurts to see people say that they do not like the video. But of course, everybody is entitled of their own opinions, so I am still giving you the freedom.

At first, the fishbowls really cracked me up. It can’t be helped; it is totally unusual for the band to be wearing those, the first judgments of people that they are a VK band… Well, if you get into their music, you find it to be more versatile and complex, so as Sakito says. The music they have now is nothing compared to those they have of the past in the categories of metal music. Seriously, they look way more different now.

And they have less make up now, except for one, who is Hitsugi.

Looking into the meaning of the song, I guess it would fit the anime. It’s actually the first time that I saw the band do this kind of video. It’s more -emo- than usual.

And I agree that this is better than the opening theme. Nightmare’s move to singing songs for anime is quite a big move for them and for the fans also. Some didn’t like it, but to others, it’s okay. I was actually a bit hesitant of this move as a fan, but Death Note eventually grew on me and now I like the anime.

I assume "leg warmers" refers to those white things which look like armlets to be that one of the guitarist wears below his knees. That might be cool or lame but those don't look mentionable to me.

So "That's just wrong" sounds like some bratty remark from a 14 year-old. The song is OK but the video is just boring. Well, I don't care about music videos anyway. The problem with 99% of all videos is that they are purely promonotional and add absolutely nothing to the song.

For a good video you either need a huge budget or a great idea. Standing around and making some gestures won't impress anyone. Also while a good video can actually cause someone to like a song, a bad video can degrade it. At least that's the case for me when my own made-up in-brain video is completely different from the official music video. Especially if I don't understand the language so that the words don't influence my expectations or imagination.

As mentioned above, Nightmare is a visual kei band so the majority of their PVs do focus on the band members (and their clothing). Actually I was suprised that some people here were suprised at their outfits, but it's probably because I watch these types of videos more on a regular basis.

Anyway, I do like this song more than the WORLD, but probably not one of my favorites from Nightmare.

I love Death Note. I searched for the opening song and ending for days, and finally, I stumbled across it on youtube. I have to be honest, the first time I SAW Yomi (the vocalist) I nearly fell off my chair. He didn't look like what I had pictured in my head, then again, the entire band didn't.

However, after doing a little more research and watching more PV's the band has done, I grew more accustomed to their look. As a visual kei band, they all dress like that. It's a visual expression!

As for people commenting on how weird they dress. Have you not seen some hardcore punkers out there, or goths where you live? I live in a small town and we've got a few! Yes, it captures your attention, but that's how they express themselves.

It would help if people would just understand how different Japanese culture is from our own.

Nightmare and Death Note forever!!!

The reason why most songs that are featured in anime have no explicit referances to the anime itself, is that most of the songs have been released prior to being picked for the anime.

Of course this isn't always the. But generally this is the case. The reason being that most of the songs featured in mainstream anime comes from popular groups or solo artists in an effort to boost sales and that most of the songs werent written for the anime, and are just conincidentally picked to be used.
I know this much is true because, for example:

Full Metal Alchemist's 2nd opening was by L'Arc~en~Ciel, and their video had no referances to FMA, Naruto's 2nd OP by Asian Kung-Fu Generation, the PV also didnt contain any Naruto refs, Eureka seveN's first OP by flow, Flow's PV had no Eureka seveN refs either. It just seems to be the general trend with anime.

With movies whereas, it usually seems that whoever does the title theme song, usually writes it specifically for the movie. (i know of an exception to thought. Niji by L'Arc~en~Ciel which was used in the Ruroni Kenshin Movie wasn't specifically written for the RK movie, and the PV for Niji didn't contain any RK scenes or refs)
Bare fact is, it usually comes down to cost, and boosting profits.
