Twitch Film reports that Mushishi live action website has now released the official trailer. You can still see the teaser trailer on the site as well. I'm still not convinced with Joe Odagiri as Ginko and his hair looks like a wig but the special effects don't look bad so I am still interested in this.

Anime on DVD mentions that one of the shows that VIZ will include as their exhibition pieces in the upcoming NATPE conference is Honey and Clover season 1. This means they'll be the NA licensor for the series. I'm just hoping that they'll keep the insert song intact and not replaced by some other songs.

Neowing, CD Japan's Japanese-language site reveals that some of the tracks included in the upcoming Honey and Clover Complete Best are Dramatic, Waltz, Fugainaiya, and Split's "Original Soundtrack Version". I believe that these are the long-awaited Piano version of the above songs.

Nodame Cantabile anime site has information on the OP and ED theme for the series. Suemitsu & The Suemith will perform the OP, a Nodame Cantabile-inspired theme called 「Allegro Cantabile」. The ED theme will be performed by Crystal Kay and will feature a segment from the 1st movement of Beethoven's 7th Symphony. I thought the OP and ED will use classical songs like the drama but it seems the producers has opted for original OP/Ed.

The Mushi-shi movie looks awesome!
The actor does not have the same disconnected feel that Ginko does in the Anime, but the visuals look tantalizing.

I was hoping that Geneon would be the one who licensed Honey and Clover. Viz tends to be a bit stingy when it comes to episode count in a DVD. But I should just be glad that it's licensed at all.

I heard the manga series may be/already is licensed in the US (by Viz) as well, but I have yet to really see any official word. I eagerly await for my copy of Complete Best. I sincerely hope they include the songs all fans have been eagerly waiting for. Maybe they actually heard out pleas?

As for the Mushishi Live Action, I'm a bit skeptical, but I shall give it a shot.

Yes! Finally, Honey and Clover got licensed! It's about time... I wonder how they'll advertise it.

I would be so glad if they made a piano version of those themes, everyone's been wanting one of those I swear. They're so poignant!

And I've given up on the Mushishi Live action, I haven't heard a single good thing about it apart from the fact that it's pretty. :(

It seems I'll be buying dvds again. I hope the manga gets licensing treatment, also. I'll be getting those the day they come out.

The Nodame dorama was amazing, and though I dont think the anime can be as good, it'll still be fun... hopefully.

I hope someone will sub the movie.

D: Am I the only one worried about Viz being the one who licensed the anime? I mean, I think it's great that it got licensed... but it's Viz. And I'm sort of, kind of, worried about it possibly being on TV.

Ah I can't wait to hear the Nodame ED. :) I love CK's music.

That is good news about H&C. I hope the translation goes well.

Anyone want to make bets that Viz'll cut out things from the series?

I'm not too familiar with what Viz does, but why on earth would they cut anything out from H&C?...

Well, it is always hard to tell from trailers, but I am a little worried about the music in the Mushishi movie. I for one think the anime series set a great and absolutely unique tone with its soundtrack, but instead the trailer seems to have some kind of mystery thriller feel to it. Not that it won't be good on its own merit, but I will certainly miss the the music from the TV series.

Viz?! well, I hope it turns out ok because I really want to own a copy! were they the ones that did Card captor sakura? because they really mess that one up!

The cinematography in Mushisi trailer looks wonderful.

I don't mind the actors do not exactly look like the characters from anime/manga though.
