Merry Christmas, everyone!! I'm sorry I haven't been able to scan a Christmas-related image like last year but I've been using the time to upgrade the site. Last November was actually Memento 2nd year anniversary but since I was too busy with JLPT, I couldn't do any kind of upgrade. At the moment, the site is not completely integrated to the new look so I'm sorry for the odd bits of inconsistencies you may find here and there. The thing is, unless I force myself to update the site now, I am not going to update it at all since I will always find an excuse to postpone the act of doing it. But now it's out in the open, I have no choice but to actually fix all of the problems that the new look produced. I did, however, manage to ensure that at least the main index and the individual entry pages work the way they meant to be.
The reason for the upgrade is simple. I'm starting to have difficulty picking images for my screenshots because at the current size, they are really hard to see. As a result, I ended up choosing mostly close-up kind of shots. But that will get boring after a while so I thought it's better if I upgrade the site. This was actually not a problem when most series was aired as pan and scan but now that more and more series start to air in widescreen format, I notice that my screenshots become increasingly smaller. The plan is to eventually convert all of the screenshots to the current size. It will be a big job so unfortunately this will happen a bit slower than expected. I also hope that the new format will allow me to write a bit less when I feel like it. Anyway, once again, Merry Christmas and I hope you'll get used to the site's new look eventually.

Nice layout. Too bad my monitor's screen resolution is 800x600. But I understand why you did so.
I have to apologise to those who still uses 800x600 resolution. In the ideal world, I'd like to accomodate every single readers but unfortunately that is not possible. The change was made because I want to be able to pick better screenshots and unfortunately, in order to do this, I have to move up the screen size.
In addition to this, the statistics that I use have shown me time and time again that lately only a handful of people (6-7 people at most) still uses 800x600 resolution. I can't possibly justify continue support for 800x600 resolution if it means that the majority (and I've checked and re-checked at least 3 different webstats) who used other monitor resolution suffer because of it.
So once again, I'm sorry that I've made the browsing experience on this site uncomfortable for those using 800x600 resolution. I did, however, try to ensure that at the very least the content is still readable on 800x600 resolution, thus the migration of the menus to the right hand side.
I'm in love with the new layout. I started playing Fate/Stay Night and can't wait for the anime.
The only thing this new layout is missing is the name of a post's author in the header (near the date and the number of comments). All too ofter I go directly to a review page, and are left wondering who wrote it until I scroll to the bottom of the article. :)
