Koda Kumi - Someday (26.8MB, for PSP/Quicktime)

This is the song that is currently sitting on No.3 position in the top 10 Oricon Weekly Chart just after Hyde's Season's Call and Utada Hikaru's Keep Tryin'. This is an unusual video clip because it features 3 young Japanese actors: Takashi Tsukamoto (Shinji Mimura in Battle Royale), Shugo Oshinari (Takuma Aoi in Battle Royale 2), and Shogen. This PV seems to be a continuation of Koda's previous PVs: "You", "Feel", and "Lies". According to this site, the other 3 PVs basically show the life of 3 friends and the women in their life (all played by Koda Kumi). The men are played by Takashi Tsukamoto in "You", Shugo Oshinari in "Feel", and Shogen in "Lies". When the PVs are combined together, they look like a short film. In this PV, the stories come together and form a conclusion for the 3 men and women in the story. Anyway, I think the song is quite nice to listen to so give it a try. Also, if you're interested, here are the other singles in the top 10 chart:

Someday
Lyric: Koda Kumi
Composer: Kotaro Egami

Kanji/Kana version

I wish Koda Kumi was a woman in my life :(

I should probably lisen to more of her music outside of the 2 Cutie Honey themes...

wildarmsheero, if you like Ms Kumi, I'll recommend:

1. Butterfly (the PV has to be seen to be believed)
2. Real Emotion (that Final Fantasy X theme)
3. No Regret (the PV is nothing special but the song is quite nice)

Her songs can be a bit hit and miss. But in general, she produces some good songs. I'll probably feature Butterfly one of these days because that PV is quite an eye-opener. :D

Thanks! I'll be sure to check those out!

I think I've actually downloaded the Butterfly PV once, but I don't really remember the song that well. Maybe I should watch it again.

I haven't listened to Koda Kumi for quite some time. My fave songs of hers were those from FFX. I kinda lost interest in her when I got introduced to Nakashima Mika. ^^;

Thanks for sharing the PV! I'm a Tsukamoto Takashi fan, which is actually the reason why I downloaded it. *lol*

Yeah, yeah, yeah it's a good song and all but I think we all know that she only did the pv so she could have an all-you-can-eat buffet of beefcake. Lucky little...ngh grumble.

Koda Kumi is one of the best J-Pop singers that I have ever heard. I originally came across her music by accident, mainly because I am a major gamer and anime fan. So far I have heard about two dozen or so of her songs. Here are some song titles I recommend:

Take Back
To Be One
Switch (w/Heartsdales and Lisa)
Hot Stuff (w/KM Markit)
Candy (w/Mr. Blistah)
Come with Me
Love Across the Ocean
Chase
DDD(w/Soulhead)
