Opening Theme: 「働く男」- Hataraku Otoko by PUFFY
Download: AVI format (30.2MB)
Hmm, I'm not as impressed by this series. Of all the series that I've blogged so far, this is the one that I think is not as interesting. Maybe it's because I'm in the workforce as well, so watching this is similar to spending an extra hour at the office. I also don't like the characters that much except for Matsukata and Tanaka, the two competing editors. The opening theme and the ending theme are nothing extraordinary either. I will try to upload them once I get the chance. But I don't think you're missing anything from not seeing it. Anyway, I don't think I will blog this more than the first episode. I will also place this on the bottom of my priority since I have three other series that interest me today. I may change my mind if the second episode is good but in general, I'm not fond of the animation style and the story.
To be continued
Ending Theme: 「シャングリラ」- Shangri-La by Chatmonchy

Given that the story focuses less on office politics and more on the lack of a love life on her end (and she's not interested in the salaryman who IS interested in her)... we'll see how that goes. From what I recall of the manga, it spends less time at the office and more on her lack of success in the romance department as a working woman.
And one with bad taste in men.
Does that mean she gets into the sack with her rival editor? Because I thought I saw some sparks. Especially since she claims that she doesn't get enough sex from her BF.
The screenshots don't look too bad...what is it about? Story about a journalist?
Garten: If they're following the manga, she's getting into the sack with quite a few Mr. Wrongs... while a prospective Mr. Right, she's not interested in because she considers him a bit of a loser.
muhootsaver: Manga editor, IIRC. Single, busy, and 'naturally busty' as per the preview. Written and illustrated by Moyoco Anno, wife of Hideaki Anno. You probably know him from most of his Gainax work.
I can't remember if the rival editor's going to be someone who she jumps into the sack with. Part of the problem, IIRc, was that she doesn't have much of a social life due to work, and she ends up chasing the wrong guys anyways.
I disagree completely on this one. I was very impressed by this first episode. The characters made sense to me. It communicated the thrill of work, too. I was put off by the preview, but in the actual show Tanaka Rie and the character design made the main character work for me. And I liked all the music. Despite how different the atmosphere is, the show somehow gave me Honey & Clover vibes. We'll see where they take it from here. It could rise or it could fall.
I agree with Hashihime, this show is perfect. I come from a print journalism background and I can tell you that the writers captured the atmosphere of the workplace. I mean I guess they don't have the nitty gritty stuff but are you really going to have a show on spellchecking? I really like the chief, int that sense this show reminds me a lot of Planetes. This show kicks some serious butt.
I dont remember it very well...but it was a boring ending of the series¬¬ it was a waste of time... I wanted a better end XDD.
