Assassins Creed and Halo 3 are the interesting games for me, but the trailer that really blow my mind was Mass Effect, it looks even better then before. :p

Where's the zombies in Resident Evil? I'm sick of seeing another group of crazed villagers. Go back to zombies, Capcom!!

Still no info on Final Fantasy? When that's out, that's when I buy PS3.

Didn't see ANYTHING Square-Enix during Sony's Press Conference. How disappointing..
Killzone 2 did look good though, and MGS4 is still looking awesome yet cheesy at the same time.

I'll get a PS3 when the price for it isn't insane (Price cut? What price cut?) and when having an HD TV is the standard in the US like how it is in Japan right now (which will be like 7 years). In the mean time, I guess I'll catch up on the video game world by picking up a PS2 lol.

I hope that RE 5 is less action and more survival. We have plenty of action games already. Also, a real looking rendering of Megaman would be awesome as well.

just a note, the new generation of the ps3 will only have 1 laser in it, the generation now (first) has 3, one to play ps3 games, one to play ps2 and one to play ps1 games. after this generation, i heard some ps1 & ps2 games will not work on the system unless its an emulator

richard, all PS3 that are being sold in Europe, Oceania, and Asia (except Japan) are already using emulation for PS1 and PS2 games. They're actually working quite well and in some cases, better after the latest firmware update.

The Killzone 2 trailer met their projected targets, but my worry is that the AI might be sub par. The first Killzone looked great, but the AI killed it. As far as I can tell there doesn't seem to be much new in terms of game play, but in the trailers it seems the AI was a bit slow in places and at one point I thought I saw it ignore the player rushing up.

Konami is still being very guarded about whether or not MGS4 will remain exclusive only Jack Tretton said it was. So maybe its a time exclusive. Too bad it will miss this holiday season though.

well thats good to hear that the emulators are working fine, im in north america and were still not there not to my knowledge . i know a 80gig ps3 is on its way tho

Wow! This is a great entry for your Blog. I wasn't expecting to see an article about games :)

Sony pulled one hell of a conference this year. Kill Zone looked AMAZING! Lair is also promising (holly hell, the game is 25 Gigs! have you ever seen anything that big before?!) and of course my lovely Metal Gear Solid looked as sweat as ever. This fourth installment is definitely a fan service (just for us, weeeeehooooo :) ) so don't expect anything revolutionary. I got my PS3 in December last year. The console is getting many unfair criticisms from all sides. Why do people compare it with Xbox360 when PS3 hasn't even been around for a full year yet? I wish people would give this fantastic platform some time. Sony's vision is way ahead of Microsoft and they will see the result of their investment in time. I promise you.

My only complaint, as somebody else mentioned earlier, is about Final Fantasy. One of the Best games I have ever played in my life was totally absent this year. Perhaps in the Tokyo game show in 3 weeks we’ll hear more about it but I really, really want to know the status of the project, some new screenshots, trailers...anything at this point!

Btw, Little Big Planet looked gorgeous! after Loco roco, this is for sure the cutest game i've played on PLaystation!

Killzone 2 looked pretty awesome. I didn't think it would be possible as well, but that was pretty hot. What's more amazing is that the game is supposedly still in pre-Alpha-alpha.

Also, from what I've heard, Sony is keeping its cards for TGS. Rumors say that FF13 will be playable on TGS or at least it'll be demonstrated by a Squeenix guy.

This article should be called Sony PS3 at E3 if you arent going to mention any Wii or 360 games and focus only on the PS3.

25 Gigs is not a big game. Blue Dragon is on multiple 360 HDDVD discs which is more then 25 gigs.

My only problem with the Sony conference was that it was all games that could be good, but arent coming out for another year or so.

Nintendo's was basically giving release dates to games coming this fall and showing some casual games that willbe huge media attention getters (Wii Fit will get more air time / magazine / newspaper time then Killzone or Halo 3 or whatever regardless of how good or bad it is).

The 360 was just kind of meh for its conference, despite the games they have coming out.

And these conferences were for each developer. Squeenix and what not will more then likely have their own announcements. This isnt the same E3 from before. Theres no megaton announcements and need to one up each other as its for media and industry people only.

So far though, 360 has the strongest line up for this fall with Mass Effect, Bioshock, Halo 3, Blue Dragon, Trusty Bell, along with all the cross platform stuff like GTA and whatnot.

PS3 seems to have not much going for it aside from crossplatform titles like GTA, Rock Band, Guitar Hero, Assassins Creed, etc. The rest dont come til next year. Lair should be good, but I dont see it being a system seller like MGS4 or FF will be next X-mas.

Wii will probably have the second best lineup this fall with Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Smash Bros, Nights, Guitar Hero and all the assorted sports games (tiger woods, Madden are all much better on Wii with the remote, at least in my opinion and coming with online this fall).

I'd like to see Sony do better, but it just costs too much (price drop wont help when people will most likely feel like they are getting shafted buying the inferior $100 cheaper model and even then its still over $500US to get one and not have any games/accessories).

Kirby, the key is the game that I'm going to play in the future. I am not a multi-console owner type of person so usually I just choose one that will get the MGS or FF series. I barely have the time to play any game at all. On a hindsight, maybe I should have called it PS3 games but Biohazard 5 and Assassin's Creed are also on the Xbox 360, so I saw no point in doing that.

I have to say I was kinda hoping something would really reach out and grab me this year at E3. Nothing. It's either stuff I know that's already coming out (i.e : Resident Evil 5, Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo 3, Project Gotham Racing 4 ... too many others.) and stuff that made me think ... hmm ok. I admit I wasn't expecting Silent Hill 5 nor was I expect an new Viva Pinata and come on you have to admit you knew Mario Kart was coming to Wii sooner or later. So far I'm happy with the games I have for my 360 but it's mainly me playing the classic games on it. Although it did make me have an little smile on my face to know an REAL Bomberman game was coming out at last for the console. I think the only thing I wanted to hear (and I pray it does happen) is that Tecmo will bring Fatal Frame 3 (or Project Zero as us UK people know it as) comes to 360 or even an new one would be nice! Hopefully the next E3 will be better and bigger. That's if they will be another one.

They downgraded the whole E3 because they felt it was getting too big and deviated from it's original goals, which is bull i my opinion. But this year they showed off games liked previous years, except this time it's only the big developers in the majority since small ones lose money and publishers don't go there anymore (gamestop, etc.). Real pity, because before the conference blowed. The most exciting thing for me was MGS and the FF games, too bad FF13 didn't show though (at Sony's conference).

I agree, I remember when E3 was in Atlanta and it was basically journalists and industry only. then When they scrubbed that and it got "too big" a.k.a too much compettetion from smaller companies and too much attention which brings higher expectations. . .they bring it back to the exclusive "big guys only" meeting to secure that they dont actaulyl have to have extra pressure to perform and show off what they can do. Also, the absense of FFXIII was truely disapointing, hell, sony in general has disappointed me, I used to be an avid sony fanboy especially with the ps2, but with the blunder that was ps3 . . .causing Nintendo! (I hate nintendo. . .I really do) to come out on top, and then not having learning their lesson, still having crappy games for the ps3. . .the whole gaming scene is just really sad, the only choice I have is to play kiddie games on the wii using some jacked up controller (mario party 8!? wtf?) and the whole thing with a gajillion sequesl being put out with nothign really original coming forth. . .I have been absent from the gaming world and still nothing entices me to coem back. Maybe once FFXIII comes out and the ps3 is actualyl affordable and WORTH buying (in about 50 years) then maybe I'll actaully like the industry, untill then, I'll continue kicking my freind's asses in Marvel vs capcom 2

Can't set all the blame though, since all the good games are later on nd the new ones are just ports. So we just have to wait, i really m just waiting for MGS, FF, and White Knight.

for those looking for FF13, perhaps they should check out Lost Odyssey on X360 as well. :) it looks like it will have a pretty epic style storyline and the graphics are looking great so far. the fighting system seems to be turned based (kind of like FFX's). we'll see if they add any twists in it though. the game is being handled by many FF vets too.

I'm really excited about Silent Hill 5, especially since it has gone multi-platform (getting a 360 instead of a PS3....sorry kids). I have to say though, Silent Hill 5 reeks of Jacob's Ladder, if anyone has seen it. Still, can't wait! MGS4 was a big disappointment though, after all the time has passed since the last trailer, the graphics in this one is below par to what I've expected to see in this gen of the console wars. But meh, I guess we'll have to wait and see.
