I always suspected that I have problem of letting go. But this definitely confirms it. It's been a week since the series ended and yet I still can't get over it. I keep thinking that maybe there will be another episode this week. But there is no more episode so maybe I need to go to HCA (Honey and Clover Anonymous) or something like that because I don't think this is healthy. I even start to frown now whenever an animation style for a new series looks even slightly mediocre. I keep thinking how good-looking the last episode of Honey and Clover was when it comes to style. Anyway, this is meant to be some kind of a closure, at least for now. I wish I can do more than this but my schedule is kind of tight at the moment. So here's the kanji and romaji version of the opening theme to complement the ending theme.
Honey and Clover OP Theme
Performed by YUKI
Kanji/Kana version

Thanks Garten for all of your hard work commenting and creating summaries for every episode of this series. It was a pleasure reading all of your thoughts and following through with fellow fans. I will miss it very much, but I think the music, especially will help us keep the nice fuzzy feeling inside.
This is the first anime series where I've bought the OST, manga, and DVD. It's certainly worth every penny. Now, here's to waiting for the Live action :)
Shine, thank you for commenting. The same goes for everyone who have participated in the discussion about the series. It's been a while since I've seen something that grabbed my attention like this series. I personally think that this series is a definite keeper. In addition to it being a good series, I have a lot of personal memories attached to this series.
I'm also in the same situation as you are right now. Most of my paycheck have gone to almost every single merchandise that the series came up with. :) But thankfully it's one of those series that worth the money. Not to mention, I'll be crazy to miss those limited edition extras. Well, I hope the producers will one day come up with a second season once the manga is completed.
I totally agree, I am going to miss this series big time. Honey and Clover was so uplifting and it really was apleasing anime to watch, I can say with confidence that I like it even more the Fruits Basket which was my all time fav. In anycase I hope somebody in the US licenses the manga as I cannot read Japanese, I would love to read further about the characters. Thanks again Garten for all your great reviews and insight into the show.
Totally in agreement. At least we still have the manga - and book 8 picks up where the anime left off. It has become one of my favourites of all time.
I'm so glad I'm not alone. I seriously can't shake off HC. I had to get my roommate to hide the OST from me so I wouldn't listen to it 24/7.
Thank you, Garten, for all of your insightful input. And I'm looking forward to your take on my newest obsession, ParaKiss.
HC 4 ever!!!!
When's the first meeting for HCA?
Ahh, its always hard to let go... I just finished Densha Otoko and really depressed about it. However, I was surprised that finishing Honey & Clover didn't depress me as much... it is probably because the way the last episode was made. It never made a clean cut and so somewhere it makes you hope that its not the end but just a break until they pick it up again!
ps: I love your site!
Oohwah. I know how you feel. I have yet to read the manga, maybe it'll help a little. You're right it is odd now that it's over, I miss it. Thankyou for all the summaries and comments, I've found ParaKiss so maybe I have something to look foward to.
just watched the last episode, and as the intro was playing all i could think about is not wanting to watch it so that it could continue for forever in my mind.. i knew there was no conceivable way i could hit the stop button on my media player, though, now that i had started it :(
was too good.. why, why must they give us what we love and then take it away! :(
oui~! T_T I love this series, when i finished the last episode i had to find out more about it. I had this great humble lifted feeling when watching the anime and knew there had to people out there that understand it.
HC is so beautiful, its life and hits close to your heart, struggles in life, romance, and most importantly growth.
Hi everyone~!
I completely love this series too! The romance, the humour, the beautiful artwork, the complex characters ... and now I'm hooked on the OST! Gah!
I like telling people who generally think that anime is all like DBZ about this series as well as "Azumanga Daioh". I mean "HachiKuro" and "Azu" are my favorite 'slice of life' anime to date. Of course my love of "HachiKuro" may be due to me being a bicycle riding art student who's trying to find direction in life as his time left as a student dwindles.
thanks for your harwork Garten... i really appreciate it... keep it up!
