As it turns out this is not a complete filler. There are actually some parts which are similar to the manga. Due to the mix and match style, the story is kind of mysterious and comedic at the same time. I do wonder why they skipped one chapter in the manga. I should not have been surprised though since these are the same writers who re-arranged Allen's earlier encounter and put it in a later episode so that Lenalee can join in the action. At any rate, I wonder how much longer this series is going to be. For some reason I don't think it'll go on and on like Naruto. On the other hand, the story is not conclusive yet and that means the anime will have to come up with more fillers so that they don't run out of manga material.

The episode begins with Krory crying because he was essentially kicked out of his hometown by the villagers. Lavi thinks it's inevitable since no matter how they explain it, the villagers won't believe it. A flashback shows that the villagers refuse to believe that the only people whose blood Krory sucked are basically Akuma. They called him 'monster' and told him not to come back. Lavi thinks it doesn't matter that they can't come back because a man's hometown is in his heart. In response, there's some kind of off-screen glomping or molestation for Lavi because Krory is so touched by what he said. Once the three arrive at the city, Krory is amazed by the area since he's never gone out of his castle before. Lavi tells him to look around since they still have time before their steam train come. As Krory leave to look around, Lavi and Allen think about how his innocence power and personality are completely different from one another.

Fast forward a few minutes later, Krory has been fooled by a local merchant to buy a lot of useless fake goods. Lavi manages to stop the merchant so the guy returns Krory's money in fear before running away from the area. Later on inside the train, Krory decides to walk around on his own. 3 hours later, however, he hasn't come back so Allen and Lavi decide to look for him. As it turns out the poor guy has lost in a poker game against 3 bullies. As a result, he lost all of his clothes and the only thing left is his boxer. In order to help Krory to even out the odds, Allen decides to put his robe as a bet and play the game as well. A few minutes later, it's obvious that although Allen's opponents are cheaters, they have nothing on Allen, who's a better cheater than the three combined. Allen explains to Lavi that when he was General Cross' student, he used to learn the trick of the trade in order to get rid off the debt collectors off his back.

In the present time, Allen laughs like a maniac as he declares that he can't possibly lose in this game. Lavi is spooked out by this to say the least. In the end, Allen manages to defeat the three guys but decide to return their clothes since he just want to win what Krory lost in the game. As a thank, one of the men gives Allen a pack of card. Once the train left a station to drop off the four scoundrels, the leader gets a phone call that informs him that he has another job to attend to. Inside the train, a little girl asks Krory if he'd like to buy a flower. When Krory tells her that he doesn't need them, however, the girl starts to cry. Meanwhile the leader of the scoundrels, go to a train tunnel to meet the Millenium Earl. The guy takes off his glasses and starts to transform his body. As he walks closer to the Millenium Earl, the later throws a hat and calls the guy "Tyki Mikk". As it turns out, he is one of the Noah Family members.

Inside the train, Allen and Lavi are looking for Krory again when the flower girl enters the cabin carrying Krory's clothes. When they open the door, they find Krory wearing only his boxer again but holding a bunch of flowers. He claims that this time it was his decision to help a girl whose 10,000 years old grandpa is sick. Well, if he's been sick that long, wouldn't it make sense to pull the plug? Just kidding. Allen simply sighs and put Krory's robe back on him. Lavi also tells the guy that there is no such thing as 10,000 years old grandpa. Upon hearing this, Krory becomes sad and looks at the flowers, which give off a vision of Eliade. He feels that he can't do anything now that he is alone. Krory continues to look depressed even when they arrive at the Black Order's HQ. Unfortunately for the three, Krory must pass examination by the door before he can get in. The problem is, the door detects Akuma blood inside Krory's body.

Krory remembers that he bit Eliade not too long ago and not surprisingly the door can detect this. It doesn't take long before the three of them are confronted by Komui and Komurin IV. Lenalee quickly asks her brother to take a closer look because the people he's about to attack are Allen and his friends. However, once Komurin IV sets its target, it can't be stopped. If that's not bad enough, Komui becomes crazy again and orders his robot to attack the three. When Allen tries to attack the robot with his power, the robot simply absorbs his power and uses it on a frying pan to cook an Omu Rice (Omellete Rice). When Lavi attacks the robot with his oversized hammer, the robot simply doubles the size of its pan and knocks Lavi aside, before placing him on top of the Omu Rice with a dash of tomato sauce. Komui then orders Komurin IV to set its sight on the next meal: Allen and Krory. The robot proceeds to salt the two before throwing cooking oil on the ground.

Madman Komui then makes the robot scoop both Allen and Krory with a frying pan, thinking of turning them into an Okonomiyaki. Before he can do so, however, Lenalee has appeared behind him and kicked his head with her heel. She thens summons tornado using her Innocence and sends Komurin IV to the outer space. She then goes off to apologise to Krory for her brother's behaviour. This, however, is not the end of terror for Krory because he still has to endure Komui's drill and later on, Hebraska's inspection. While Krory screams around in terror, Allen remembers how he felt the same thing when he got Hebraska's inspection. Later on, Krory remembers that Allen once told him that his room is at a particular place. When he goes to peek inside, however, he finds out that it's the dining room and there's a party prepared to celebrate his arrival in the Black Order headquarter. Krory is touched by this to the point that he cries again.

Meanwhile, Rivers is horrified when he spots another version of Komurin in the corner. Komui assures him the robot is okay because "Komurin IV Mini" has only been programmed to keep the place clean. As a point, he throws a bone on the ground and the robot picks it up. Meanwhile, Allen and everyone else gives Krory a "Welcome Home" greeting. However, because he's not paying attention, Krory ends up spilling his drink onto Komurin IV while walking. When Komui orders the robot to 'clean things up', the robot ends up applying cosmetic on Komui's face because 'Kirei' also means pretty. The robot then decides that everyone in the room is ugly and needs makeover. Lenalee manages to kick the robot into stratosphere but it becomes obvious that Komurin IV Mini managed to put on make up on every single person in the room except Lenalee. Meanwhile inside the Noah family's house, the Millenium Earl tells them that it's time for them to take action.

Impression:

Well, that was a lot more hilarious than I thought it'll be. I love Allen's demonic expression when he was playing poker with the three guys. I wonder what kind of childhood he had when he was with Cross. The poor kid is clearly traumatised badly. Speaking of poker, it's amazing how Tyki Mikk managed to hide his true identity without Allen even sensing him. I still don't understand why this family is so special and yet they are not that different from normal humans either. Out of the three Noah family members he seems to be the least hostile one though. The second half is basically just Komui and his insane Komurin shenanigans. It was fun but it's not as good as the one that was shown a couple of episodes ago. The make-up part of the joke was especially horrifying. Anyway, I am not sure what I'm planning to do with this series when the new Spring anime arrives. It's likely, however, that I'll put it on hold for the first few weeks of April. Thank you for participating in the discussion so far. It's really appreciated.

"Allen's so dark..."

Heh, that was the literal translation anyway. I was rather shocked that the guy was actually Ticky, they sure hide it pretty well... Must be the glasses...

Looking forward to seeing next week's episode, we'll get to have a deeper look into the incident that sparked the 'Exorcist Hunt'!

Oh yeah, ANN said that this anime would go for 52 episodes... Not sure whether that would change a not...

The make-up and cooking felt out of place though...

@muhi_kira
Depends on what you think is a 'good player' heh...

He's not really using any poker skills, but he's great at cheating!

It's kind of funny and ironic at the same time that the only person without make-up is Lenalee even though she's a girl and all the men look as if they're trying to imitate a doll. This episode seems hilarious even though it's part filler. ^_^

Woah woah, slow down sparky!

Don't need to tell everybody that! (You know they're going to look at it, especially because it says 'spoiler') =)

But I believe that the anime would follow (partially) the manga's main story. The ending of the Ark's arc would be a good place to stop the season...

i think the reason that allen couldn't sense that the glasses guy was Tyki Mikk was because the Noah family members are 'human'. that's a theory anyway
