In this episode, Nunnally tries to smoke some bong but fails miserably when said bong got knocked out of her hands. She spends the majority of the episode on the ground looking for the bong. There's a lesson here: doing drugs does not pay. One has to admire Sunrise for being able to include an anti-drug message on top of the political shenanigans that this show has on offers. We also find out that not only Cornelia didn't die on last week's episode, she finds herself wake up next to dark-haired Guilford. Guilford is a proof that you can survive a nuclear warhead unscathed. One would think that Guilford should at least look like Two-Face by now but apart from his eyes (which will probably heal in the final episode), his skin is perfectly fine. So next time there's a warhead coming your way, according to Sunrise you'll be a-okay. Another important lesson that Sunrise teach us is that if you hate your brother, don't kill him. Instead, make him your bitch. And oh, Diethard dies like a nobody that he is while Kanon looks like he's been raped by someone whose name is not Schneizel.
Continuing from the previous episode, Jeremeiah thinks that if only they can get inside Damocles, Schneizel won't be able to fire FLEIA. Meanwhile, XingKe is not happy that Schneizel is willing to shoot FLEIA at the hostages, including his loli. In response, Schneizel gives him and the Black Knights 10 minutes to prepare a counterattack. Meanwhile, Milly tells Rivalz that she's amazed that one of their student council members is fighting against the world. Rivalz, however, is feeling pity for himself because he couldn't protect Nina. Meanwhile, both XingKe and Toudou try to flank Suzaku using their frames but they lost like the losers that they are. Toudou's cockpit is caught by Chiba though. And oh, I think Tamaki is dead :( I was pulling for him to stay alive right through the end. Back to Schneizel, he entertains the idea of firing FLEIA right away so they can get rid of Black Knight as well. He, however, quickly realizes how devious the plan is and back down. WHAT?! Meanwhile, Nina finally realizes that Lelouch is trying to achieve Euphemia's wish so she asks him to take her to the battlefield. Lelouch, however, refuses and think she's done enough. What is this? I expect her to die in her own pool of blood.
Nina claims that she won't forgive Zero but apart from that, she believes she neeeds to find her own answer. Lelouch then goes to the hangar to find C.C and is relieved upon finding out that she's okay. She's surprise to hear him worried about her so he explains that it's because of her that he's able to move forward. Their little interlude, however, is interrupted when jealous Kallen breaks through the wall using her Guren. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Kallen has a right to be jealous because C.C now gets her own frame, a pink frame. She's in time to stop Guren so Lelouch can leave in his frame to attack Damocles. Inside his plane, Lelouch remembers what Nina said about how FLEIA can be halted if its input data is matched by a matching response. However, there's a very short 19 seconds interval before it explodes, leaving the timeframe for its destruction only 0.04 seconds. It sounds impossible but nothing is impossible for Superzaku, who manages to shoot something into FLEIA then detonated it. Lelouch then transform his plane into a frame and penetrate Damocles. Because of this, Schneizel moves to plan B: he wants to detonate Damocles once Lelouch is inside.
Schneizel also plans on abandoning Nunnally much to Kannon's shock. Speaking of Nunnally, she's now rolling on the ground trying to find the bong....err, FLEIA ejector that she dropped from her hand. Meanwhile, Kallen and C.C are finally having their catfight so the claws are open. Kallen wonders if C.C is doing this because she loves Lelouch but C.C claims that she just wants to bring an end to this experience. Kallen sarcastically think that's very humane of her. Not surprisingly Kallen wins and sends C.C flying down in her cockpit. C.C is surprised that she still cares about winning and losing at this point in her life. Back to Schneizel, he finds out that as he enters the escape shuttle, Lelouch is already waiting for him. Outside, all of the guards have been geassed to follow his order. Scheizel wonders how Lelouch figure out his plan so Lelouch tells the guy that he knows Schneizel's true nature: he doesn't want to win. Lelouch believes that Scheneizel always play games that he can't lose. Howeer, he'll make sure Schneizel loses now. Meanwhile, Sayako, Lloyd, and Cecile have escorted the hostages back to Xingke and claims that they are no longer with Lelouch.
At the same time, Cornelia is alive, realising that her brother couldn't kill her. She's also a fool for thinking that in better times, he'd make a better king. Back to Schneizel, he claims that he doesn't want to seize the world using Damocles. He just wants to create peace and continues its present course. Lelouch understands that just as Charles wanted yesterday, Schneizel wants today. However, Lelouch wants tomorrow. Can't they all get along and get yesterday, today, and tomorrow? Why should they restrict themselve to a particular time? Schneizel thinks tomorrow might be worse than today but Lelouch believes that people's desire to be happy will make tomorrow better. Schenizel thinks that's just fabrication and dreams. Lelouch thinks the reason Schneizel thinks that way is because he's been looking down upon the world from his position as the royal family. However, Lelouch has seen it many times: people struggling against misfortune, looking for a better future. Schneizel orders Lelouch to stop his speech and just kill him already but much to his surprise, Lelouch has a better plan for him: to make Schneizel his bitch using Geass. The video is just a recording.
Lelouch reveals that because Schneizel thinks he's going to get killed, he ends up losing. Diethard immediately tries to point his gun at Zero, claiming that his story is already over and therefore he can't allow him to live. Before Diethard can pull the trigger, a geassed Schneizel already shoots the loser. Diethard begs Lelouch to use Geass on him but Lelouch thinks Diethard is not worth being geassed. Ouch. Lelouch then asks Schneizel how to stop self-destruct Damocles but as it turns out, Nunnally and her bong are the key. At the same time, Suzaku has just defeated Gino (without killing him) when Kallen comes to settle their score. While Suzaku is busy dealing with Gino/Kallen team-up, Lelouch has entered the Garden where Nunnally has been sniffing Bong. Nunnaly knows that the person entering is her brother. Well duh, obviously she can tell since she can actually see again now. To prove her point, she opens her eyes to show off her scary doll eyes. Anyway, Nunnally asks Lelouch if he's going to use Geass on her as well. What a good idea! He can order her to give the controller to her then grovel and apologizes later. What's the harm in doing that? So geass her already!
Impression
Things seem to deflate so quickly in this penultimate episode. I wanted to see some bloodbath but instead things got neatly solved. On the one hand, props to Sunrise for not going through the most obvious development. On the other hand, the series looks like it's going to end not with a bang but with a whimper. On top of this, there are several characters who should have been dead by now. On my personal list there are: Nina (for being a psycho table humper), Ougi (for being the stupid moron that he is), Toudou (sick of his tough Japanese facade), and Diethard (thank you for at least killing this douchebag). I'm not surprised that Cornelia turns out to be alive but I think it's a bit too much to see Guilford being alive as well. I don't know much about the Japanese Code Geass scene but I assume Cornelia/Guilford pairing is popular over there and the studio is just catering to fans' wish? Personally I find the two of them annoying and hardly tolerable. Sure, Cornelia seems to realize the error of her ways but she's an insufferable *bleep* when the series started. I'm just glad that C.C is still alive because all of these times, I realize that my attitude towards the going-ons in this series is pretty similar to her: in Lelouch's camp but doesn't really care about the result.
The question is, will the series end with Lelouch manages to convince Nunnally or will she blow everyone in royal family except Cornelia sky-high? It'll be ironic if Lelouch's last enemy turns out to be his own sister. The thing is, there's not much that she can do apart pressing the trigger and that kind of anticlimactic. On the other hand, it's not like Lelouch can lead the world anymore now since his reputation is pretty much tarnished due to this recent project. Suzaku also seems like the type who wants to die as well so maybe Kallen will finally give his wish. Speaking of Kallen, it's ironic that despite realizing that C.C is her rival for Lelouch, she just can't kill the witch. Speaking of C.C, if her words were meant to be taken at face value, I'm guessing Lelouch will survive so he can make her smile. Having said that, I won't be surprised if she ends up dying but smiling at Lelouch. It'll probably be a complete release for her. As for the rest of the characters, I can't believe that XingKe is still alive while Tamaki is dead. I sure hope Tamaki managed to eject the pilot seat before his frame was destroyed. Although if he was dead like that (with no acknowledgement, with no one caring about his death), it'll fit with how he's just a nobody to everyone around him.
YES! FIRST COMMENT!
And for a generic pedobear-like comment:
Holy ****. nunally got a x3 hotness bonus with eyes open!
Schneizel won this episode! he joined the winning side!
0.4 seconds.

I think CG has stopped surprising anyone a few episodes back...come on it was soooo Obvious that Sunrise isn't going to kill off any of the fan-popular characters. So pathetic. Keeping a character or two alive for a few more episodes due to popularity is one thing, but to keep bringing them back from the dead is another.
ALSO: The battle over Fuji just happened over a few hours ago (their local time), how come Cornelia is already at that island being treated. A major plot hole. And she was shot with a frikkin machine gun, how come she is still alive and kicking? Same goes for Guilford? What explanation is Sunrise going to give for that one?
Second half of R2 has been a major disappointment for CG fans who wanted a strong storyline dealing with Lelouch's rebellion against the Britannian racist system.
I wonder of the people at Sunrise even watch their own productions and feel proud with themselves for being crap.
I kinda feel that Lelouch should've just kidnapped Kallen, and along with C.C. (if only Shirley was still alive, he can have 3 wives...perhaps he can take Milly too, LOL) go live quietly somewhere, start a family and let Schneizel *nuke* the world including the Black Knights. That'll be the perfect ending for Ougi, Todo, and the rest, they get what they deserve.
Nunnally, what big eyes you have!
i heard there was gonna be 3rd season and with how things r going its possible but i want to know 4 sure so PLZ HELP ME OUT HERE!!!!!
Lol, this was an okay episode. Im not picky when it comes to anime so code geass has been good to me. Guilfford did bug me though. When i was someone next to Cornelia I was like "Omfg...the only person who hearts her is..."
Yay, Diethard died, Schneizel is bascially dead, Toudou was half dead and if Nunnaly does blow everyone up then the rest will follow shortly. But Nunnaly does have huge eyes...o.o'.
Hopefully she realizes that Lelouch was misguided but has finally reached the one good decision on his part: Stop the Fleijas and unite the world against him :3
PS: is there one more episode (25 total) or two more (26 total) or some weird hour long special thats actually two eps but counted as one?
There is only one episode left, and the week after that the second season of gundam 00 begins in the same time slot as CG.
Nunnally is the final Boss!!!
Orange-kun is a pedobear? I'm shocked! And appaled! XD
Plus, how can anyone be attracted to Nunnally? Look at her eyes. I'll flee for my life if I saw that in a dark alley.
Uh Garten Tamaki isn't dead. He ejected at the last minute, plus how was it a surprise that C.C lost to Karen? I was surprised she lasted as long as she did since the Guren managed to slap around Suzaku's Lancelot Conquista like a cheap piniata.
Otherwise yeah I share most of your feelings like things getting neatly solved in terms of dealing with the F.L.E.I.J.A warheads (Which I don't think is a nuke) and the other things.
I kinda share opposite feelings with you on Deithard getting killed he's a douche but he was one of my favorite characters in all honesty. And something that annoys me about the series is that when you see one character beat the shit out of another high-powered character it puts the skills of the person the second character defeated into question.
If Lancelot Albion was able to defeat the Galahad so easily how come he was having such difficulty with the Shen Hu and how come all those Vincents and Gareths which were shown as asskickers in the hands of Guilford and the Glaston Knights were having a hard time with the BK's Ataskuki's. Ugh there's so many questions I have.
Sorry about the long comment (and there's more) but maybe later.
BTW I really wish Shirley was still alive. It'd have been interesting to see what effect her being his only honest companion would've brought. But then we wouldn't have Lelouch blowing up the Geass Cult.
Also yeah Lelouch's strategy for dealing with Schneizel while a rip-off of the one he used for Mao last season was still pretty creepy when it actually went down.
Uh Garten Tamaki isn't dead. He ejected at the last minute
Really? I wasn't sure if the cockpit got ejected out before Suzaku blasted him.
plus how was it a surprise that C.C lost to Karen?
Uhm...I said "Not surprisingly Kallen wins"
I hope Kallen finally defeats Suzaku (even if he is working for Lelouch... I will always root for Kallen) just like she defeated CC. True, CC's frame was lame besides the current Guren, but it was cool seeing Kallen kicking CC's ass.
Someone posted, several episodes ago, a page with minimal summarys of what the episode was going to be about... and there were several interesting phrases, which were released alongside some cards. I will spoiler them... but can anyone confirme me something about them please?
C.C.
Hurry up and go. And then come back. You said you will make me smile.
「早く行って、そして戻ってこい、私に笑顔をくれるんだろ」
--This one was spoken here on episode 24--
Nunnally Lamperouge
I will put an end to oniisama's sin.
「お兄様の罪は私が断ちます」
--Spoken on episode 23--
Anya
People's memories are vague. (Already spoken in Turn16.)
And the most important one (for me at least...)
Kozuki Kallen
If you say something like "I love you (or him/her/someone)", I won't forgive you.
「愛してるなんて言ったら許さないから」
Has this one being told yet? I do not remember it... if not... does it mean it will appear on the final episode... meaning Kallen will finally meet Lelouch again, face to face? Maybe he says that as he dies on her arms... or before trying to kill him again (I hope the first).
The same page were I got this had this summary for episode 25:
--From Animedia
Zero Requiem. It's all for the promise between Lelouch and Suzaku.
Farewell Lelouch. Is this the last day of Zero?
Good bye Suzaku. Farewell war time. And then…
Note: in the original text, they used "saraba" for Lelouch and war time, and "sayonara" for Suzaku. I wonder if this has a meaning to it.
From Animage
Zero Requiem. It's all for the promise between Lelouch and Suzaku.
Farewell Lelouch. Farewell Suzaku. What will become of their fate?
Note: both are "saraba" here.--
So my guess is yes... both will die... but then... how will CC die then ? will she give her geass to someone else? Or will she use her code to save Lelouch thus dieing in the process??
Trainwreck or not... I am very curious to see how things end in the Final Turn
Yeah, that was anti-climatic but I don't give two hoots as long as Schneizel is alive and he is.
Oh, I hope they kill Nunnally while they're at it though. She starts to annoy me for some reason. For someone who hasn't done anything until recently, she suddenly thinks she knows what is right and what is wrong.
I liked it, not massively but I liked this episode. I want to see how things turn out. But I don't want Kallen killed. Or Nina oddly enough, I've become sympathetic toward her.
Ya want irony? That since this show has gone in the gutter, one of the most annoying characters, Tamaki, is one of the most likeable.
I supported the GinoxKallen shipping from the beginning of its conception when Kallen first met him. Maybe they'll have weird hair colored luvbabies that are uber pilots.
I hope that both Nunnally and Lelouch-de-Douche die because I hate them and their weird eyes. Then Schienzel or Cornelia can take over.
May the demon spawn of Ougi and Villeta never taint the holy blood of the descendents of Super Maid and Orange-kun.
I don't care about Suzaku. Maybe he'll end up dead. I pray.
After what happened with Cornelia and Gulliford there is no way that Tamaki is actually dead.
Characters are only really dead if it will bring angst to Lelouch or Suzaku.
Oh ok then. Hopefully though the last episode will be good. Though I have no clue how they'll tie up the story, remaining plotlines and the final battle between Guren and Lancelot Albion in 30 minutes unless it's an hour or so.
Also I'm kina going To miss this show the sense of discovery finding out the world now that the mysteries are being solved.
I kind of wish that it was Shirley who turns out to be alive. Unlike Corny, Shirley at least was a good girl who was unfortunately got caught in crossfire.
Sunrise always make us interested in the series and then just ruin it for us
:{
If there is a possible 3rd season( probably not), I'm gonna kill myself.
Nunnally's eyes were really big, I just kept staring at them. Its amazing how Sunrise can kill off characters and they just reappear again.
Ugh. Guilford looks like a hobo. Which is kind of bothering me. A lot.
There is so much WTF-ery in Code Geass now. I'm pretty sure Tamaki is alive though. I'm glad that Cornelia is alive because if she had died it would have been the the lamest death ever.
Also, Xingke = Kanda from DGM. In appearances at least. And his handydandy sword.
I JUST HEARD THAT THERE WILL BE A MOVIE OR A OVA INSTEAD OF A 3RD SEASON
i like this episode. Like how Nina supports Lelouch eventhough she hates Zero, like how Lelouch & Suzaku stops FLEIJA, like that scene between C.C. and Lelouch (before Kallen interrupts), everything. Except maybe the Nunnally still opposing her brother.
And I must be the only one who went "SHINKIROOOOO!!" when it exploded. I like this mecha.... Too bad Lelouch wasn't half as good as his mother Marianne the Flash.
Btw, I raised an eyebrow when Shinkirou's Absolute Protection Shield was destroyed by Tristan's WTF-spears. Cuz you know, the Shield can even block Damocles' barrier but it got pwned easily just like that. It should mean Tristan should have been able to destroy the barrier by itself without destroying the barrier's generator too. What the hell..
I'm mostly just annoyed that Kallen cockblocked C.C and Lelouch. Boo, Kallen! If you don't want to provide the action then don't be a cockblock.
So Nunnally will get away with everything??..agh it doesnt really matter now anymore...
I think im going to have to settle for Toudou's terrible defeat by Suzaku (damn Suzaku rocks!!! he just freakin awesome!!)..Toudou was a grumpy worthless sensei to Suzaku anyway (Duh...Suzaku learned his super-man ability from the army!! not from Toudou!!)
and Ohgi...well just him realizing hes useless aswell will just be enough i guess
The only thing he could pull off in the entire serie was knocking up Viletta...making her the most dissapointing woman ever.
..well i never actually thought much of Viletta (Feeling sorry for the fans who ever did)
...Schneizel is Lelouch's slave now...meh fair enough.
Man Xink-ke...hes just...well..I dont know what to think of this character...Hes just out there being a Code geass character....if he lives or dies...Well id probably rather see him become Tianzi's dad. (^^ now thats a happy family ending)
And Kallen...heh I cant believe her ultimate goal was being Lelouch's girl..and now that he dumped her and choose C.C...she's furious!! but of course they hide it and make her go "Oh no i dont care about that at all!"...psh yeah right..her only goal killing Lelouch says more.than.enough.
This show needs moar creative deaths and trainwreck moments. I'd be sorely disappointed if this is how the series will end. Show Nunnally pregnant or show Lelouch becoming God. Anything over the top, for crying out loud! This episode is not what signed up for!!!
@Daniel: where did you get that information about that there will be a "third" season? If you got it from 4chan or from 2ch, I say those websites are a bunch of shit because random people can post anything in there. The main writer Ichiro Okouchi finished his script and he stated that it's NOT "end of this season" or "to be continued" but it's the end of the series. I mean why have a third season since the series is talking about Lelouch's quest to destroy Britannia. He already conquered the empire and have the whole world hate him so that he and Suzaku can achieve the "Zero Requiem".
@Daniel: never mind the word "third season". Just replace it with movie or OVA. But there will be a movie or OVA, maybe it will an alternate retelling of the story.
There can't be 3rd season unless they want to focus on a flashback of C.C's past or something like that.
I thought Guilford was caught in the first F.R.E.I.J.A. blast... (and died)? Oh well. I guess I'm happy that he and Cornelia aren't dead, though seeing him looking like that was kind of saddening =_=;; I have to agree with Julia Zhan. That look doesn't really suit him and it bugs me too =_=;
And... Nunnally, what big eyes she has ... O_O
Tamaki ejected before his Knightmare blowed.
C.C. can't be killed even if her body blows away as she can ressurect. (she still has code r making her immortal, the reason she forgot her memory was because she temporaly sealed her code r not because she lost her immortality)
Also, Lelouch doesn't need reputation, it clearly says in Episode 22 that he's plan is to take over the world. "world domination" in Episode 23, it is reveal that Lelouch will get rid of all the evil by creating the world that's completely in control of Lelouch. (world that would only listen to Lelouch) That's the Zero Requiem.
Suzaku now has reason to live, for the Zero Requiem, so if anyone's going to die, then it would be Kallen. (I'm pretty sure Suzaku will spare Kallen's life though)
Also, this is really weird as Nunally asks Lelouch that Can he use Geass on her, She should've figure out by now that he can actually, so what I really think she meant was is he's geass will work on her?
This is really weird, maybe The old emperor could be back or new foe will come, meaning there could be 3rd season, or maybe I'm just thinking too much.
But Nunally broke old man's geass on her own without super natural power doesn't really make sence to me, unless Goro Taniguchi really screwed it up.
Oh well, just my opinion, bye bye
Il ne faut pas se droguer, voyez ?
La drogue c'est mal, voyez ?
Maybe it was just me but when Nunally opened her eyes it scared me an lot.
>>> Maybe it was just me but when Nunally opened her eyes it scared me an lot.
I feel kind of sad for people who watch Code Geass, an animated show, and say they get freaked out by an animated character opening her eyes.
>ALSO: The battle over Fuji just happened over a few hours ago (their local time), how come Cornelia is already at that island being treated.
She was shot shortly after Pendragon was nuked, i.e. about 10 days before Damocles arrived at Japan.
No idea how Guilford survived. Although, if you rewatch the scene, technically it does only show the lower part of his mech getting engulfed before changing cameras:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aHfU9Ji9chY
Hmm, re-watching Legend of Galactic Heroes and I wonder if the producers of Code Geass took some influence from that great classic series.
>>>No idea how Guilford survived. Although, if you rewatch the scene, technically it does only show the lower part of his mech getting engulfed before changing cameras:
No matter if it was just the legs or the hands, Guildford was at the event horizon of the blast, there is no reasonable explanation for his survival with only leg and eye injuries. Freia, in order to create a complete annihilation of all matter within it's sphere of detonation would have to produce temperatures in the +5000kelvin, burning all matter into it's plasma form, and as all physicists know, heat is an energy that radiates outward, with Guildford being caught at the event horizon he would need to be badly scarred by the heat.
I agree with Novan. Atomic blast is nothing to be laughing about. The impact of Hiroshima/Nagasaki bomb was devastating enough to people in the neighboring states. It's ridiculous to think that Guilford, who's in the middle of similar atomic level explosion survived the incident.
You're thinking of FLEIA in terms of real-world nukes, when it clearly doesn't behave like a nuke at all. No mushroom cloud, no radioactive fallout, etc. Blame the fictional Sakuradite components, I guess.
Also, Ashford Academy was right at the edge of the crater, but didn't get flattened. Its plot shields are crazy.
I have to say, I have mixed feelings for this episode. I did want things to end in a good way instead of just resorting to the easy way of killing everyone and creating a trainwreck, however I still feel like it was too easy for Lulu and his team.
As for some of the comments, here:
@avocado sushi: “Btw, I raised an eyebrow when Shinkirou's Absolute Protection Shield was destroyed by Tristan's WTF-spears. Cuz you know, the Shield can even block Damocles' barrier but it got pwned easily just like that. It should mean Tristan should have been able to destroy the barrier by itself without destroying the barrier's generator too. What the hell..”
As we saw with Rolo operating the Shinkirou, the shield are not really an absolute defense by themselves, but they actually have to be operated and it also was Laksharta who created them, therefore she knows perfectly well how they work. Therefore, considering that Lulu doesn’t have the h4x piloting skills of all the pros, and that Laksharta re-made Gino’s mech, it’s not that surprising if Lulu couldn’t create a powerful enough barrier to completely block the attack, however it still managed to absorb the blows (otherwise the Shinkirou would have simply been cut in half before Suzaku saved the day).
@ZERO: “Also, this is really weird as Nunally asks Lelouch that Can he use Geass on her, She should've figure out by now that he can actually, so what I really think she meant was is he's geass will work on her?”
She’s obviously asking it in a merely rhetorical way, it’s clear that with her eyes open he can now geass her, however what she’s really asking is if he will dare to do it.
@Novan: “I feel kind of sad for people who watch Code Geass, an animated show, and say they get freaked out by an animated character opening her eyes.”
Then would you feel sad at people who cry at a very sad movie or get scared when watching a horror one? After all, animation or not it’s still just fiction. However that’s what suspension of disbelief is all about. You agree to “believe” and accept the premises of whatever you’re watching/reading/listening/playing/etc and therefore immerse yourself in that world in order to get entertainment. Sure, getting a “real” feeling from an animated show may be harder than from a “live action” thing, but that’s it. If not, why in hell do you watch anime or any kind of fiction for that matter?
As for the whole Guilford surviving, I do agree that it’s definitely one more in the large list of crappy things we have seen on this show, no matter what stupid explanation (if any) we get next week. However, remember that while F.R.E.I.J.A. has been presented very similarly to a nuke and is pretty much emulating that, it’s still quite different from one. First, it doesn’t produce a powerful shockwave on explosion, but instead it just completely destroys a particular and exact amount of space, instead creating a powerful vacuum once the explosion is over. Second, it doesn’t produce nor leave radiation, as otherwise everyone who has been around or inside its destroyed areas would be dead by now by radiation poisoning (most important characters have been). Overall, the F.R.E.I.J.A acts a lot more like a matter-antimatter collision weapon than a nuke. And third, stupid but true point is that the world of CG is merely similar to ours, therefore a somewhat different set of physics shouldn’t really be that impressive. I still don’t like the fact that Guilford survived, but whatever, this is CG and Sunrise we are talking about.
It's 24 episodes too late to complain about Guilford surviving. Just accept it as a part of the hilarity that is Code Geass.
The episode is actually somewhat slow for a second to last episode. It's actually disappointing that the season finale for the first season felt more tense.
Kannon's moe face makes me all hot and bothered. Should I be worried? What have you done with me, Sunrise?
Of course Tamaki ejected at the last minute. If he died, he wouldn't be able to star in his own spin-off show with Rivalz.
Yeah, Tamaki's basically the main thing I look forward to in this show. It's kinda sad.
thanks alot to the people who clarified everything for me about the whole 3rd season thing but maybe therell be amovie and hey i could see a live action movie in the future possibly to but what are your opinions about that?
@Serenade
The laws of physics state that matter can neither be created or destroyed. It can only he converted from one form to another.
Therefore, if Freia acted by annihilating all matter within it's sphere, where did all the matter go?
That's why I said for Freia to have that effect, it would have to turn all matter inside it's sphere into plasma, which is the 4th state of matter, after solid, liquid, gas. Plasma super heated gas which is extremely energetic so it would disperse away from the area quickly. Heat rises so with plasma being super hot, would rise very quickly in the atmosphere causing a vacuum effect at the origin point. Guildford was at the event horizon of the blast, he is a being made of organic matter, not some concrete building like Ashford Academy. Organic people have less tolerance to heat.
Up to this day, I don't understand the purpose of Gino in this storyline. He seems to just there, like Nunnally. This episode doesn't change that at all.
@Terra: Gino's existence, along with several other characters like Ougi, Todo, etc makes other characters like Lelouch, Suzaku, etc look good.
Reminds me of an episode of Dexter's Lab where Dexter asked the Blue Falcon why he has a dumb sidekick and BF replies that a dumb sidekick makes the hero look good.

^ Tristan's sword is made from Galahad's Excalibur, so no wonder it has great power, it can block Shen Hu's cannon after all.
Besides, I think the other factor is how Lelouch controls the shields. IMO, he assumed that Tristan's swords are just ordinary swords, so he didn't put much power output into his shields.
I just can't wait for Code Geass to finish then maybe I can stop being restless...
It became so wonderfully interesting, to shocking, to unbelievable, to tear jerking then to convenient plot closure...
I dunno... I'm not too shock that Nunnaly opened her eyes though...
Nunnaly's character seem so annoying lately... she's not innocent anymore cause she killed all those people from continous F.L.E.I.A. bombs and also w/c means she can't be vouched by her incapacity anymore.
She's totally GUILTY
Now I wonder what cornelia's existence is for... Don't tell me they are one of the "NEW" additional couples/ pair ups that might conclude this series as the begginning of the future cliche!
ougi and viletta, cornelia and guilford, Lol orange and maid-san LOL
I dont like a crappy ending but it would be good (for me) if CC dies happily, Lelouch becomes immortal and pretend his own death and years after when a stable government has been formed, an oppressor arises and Lelouch will become the (wait... CC's a witch so lelouch would be called a wizard? lol) to give geass to the child of someone whose parents are involved in this current mess...
COol! then that would be a new season! COOL! New generation of shocks, immortality, Geass and characters!
Anyway.. I just have to mention this.. Kanon.. uh... why he makes that kind of face? I mean... well yeah he's a bishie but i'm kinda thinking of some perverted relationship he has with "someone" Lol!
It wont be a shock if he's actually a she and do whatever....
Code geass is already a mess why not twist it up more add a little magical girl powers, gender bender, vampires, fangirls(wait they do have this!), shinigamis, aliens, and soon we'll see sakura and shaoran visiting from Tsubasa reservoir chronicle visiting COde geass world!
CC has sakura's feather and all human existence/ world will be engulfed and swallowed by Mokona and it turned out that we are all members of Whoville with an elephant holding our very existence and world on his trunk....
*bow*
*dies*
@Novan
While what you have said is entirely true, applying real life physics to CG serves overall no purpose at all. It could hold or it could not, as that world has never been presented as “real” to begin with, with the geass being the better proof. However, for the sake of arguing, as I already stated and for the number of reasons I posted, Freia seems a lot more like a weapon which causes collision between matter and antimatter than a nuke or any other kind of explosive devise for that matter. In the case of matter/antimatter collision, everything is completely “destroyed” and transformed into photons (light, or basically, energy in its purest form) therefore, while the destructive effect is absolute inside the affected area, indeed leaving nothing behind, once the process has subsided (merely some seconds) it leaves no traces nor after effects (no heat, no decaying matter, etc.). Of course, what I’m saying is part of speculative physics as no one has ever seen a real collision between matter and antimatter and even then, there’s no need for it to really be what happens in the GCverse; as I already stated, whatever the reason (if any) for the survival of Guilford it still sucks. My point is merely that we shouldn’t be treating Freia as a nuke as it clearly doesn’t behave like one.
@DMW
That is another one of the things this series has always done wrong, they always seem to forget to tell us little but important details that wouldn’t really take that much time and would help a lot. I suppose the fault of that is that the pacing sucks.
@hatersal
Lelouch would be a warlock. The original japanese has a word which has some kind of “demonic” connotations for what we translate as witch, therefore the same should apply for Lulu.
As for a new series, I really hope it never happens… we already have Mai Otome as proof that they should just leave their old and good series (Mai Hime had it’s good share of faults like CG, but I still loved it) to rest instead of completely raping them on a remake. I suppose some OVAs to explain a few extra things or for fanservice would be ok. As for shinigamis, aliens and everything else... just pls don’t.
about Guilford surviving, it's either that his knightmare auto-ejects his cockpit, thus he survives.
for Cornelia, it seems that Schneizel didn't shot her vital parts like in the chest. So, she's still alive, getting hospital treatment
The only real love interest that I could see for Lelouch, after Shirley, is Milly Ashford. It's too bad that we have not seen any sort of interaction between them thorughout this season. Whenever they are together, interesting results comes out of it.
A lot of people think that she no longer has any romantic feelings for Lelouch since Turn 12 because she lost to Shirley, who is now dead. And Lelouch has no idea that Milly is in love with him. She still does. Even after all that he's done by destroy the Nobility System and having the world against him, Milly is still in love with Lelouch. I guess it's because she understands his logic.
If she wasn't in those arranged marriage interviews with those Nobles, she and Lelouch would have been a couple a long time ago. This is way she loved to tease Shirley so much. Like Lelouch, Milly lies about her feelings by saying the opposite. Lelouch is a born liar as well. If any woman wants to have a serious relationship with Lelouch, she must be willing to accept him for who he is by seeing through the lies.
Milly is clearly a very good person to do so. Kallen is a warrior to the core and was willing to protect Lelouch. Once she kissed him, Kallen knew that she was falling for Lelouch. But to see his plans through, he had to push her away in order to protect her. Kallen took his actions the wrong way and now wants his head. Milly would have understood what Lelouch needed to do.
To me, a Milly x Lelouch relationship would have been the real outcome. And I don't count C.C. in this pairing.
It's too bad that the writers never paired Milly x Lelouch together early on. But then again, they might have been tempted to kill her off, like they did to Shirley. So if there is going to be another Shirley moment, Milly would be that person. The Milly x Lelouch relationship is unresolved because Milly never confronted Lelouch about her feelings for him. If she did, Lelouch might return those affections for her.
@ Novan Nothing wrong expressing my emotions to anime. Same as watching an film. Laugh, cry or whatever. I even admit at crying at the end of Air.
Anyway I been thinking for about this for an bit but what if Nunnaly did start to walk again? I mean yeah this may sound not possible but what if she did? Would you be upset about it?
From what I’ve read, one of the head writers said that Code Geass was done. Finish. No contiuation or partial end. It seems to me that such an announcement was meant to keep the audience in suspense. However, one of the recent Sound Drama CD has Lelouch and C.C. sleeping. That makes me assume that both C.C. and Lelouch will die. Thus Suzaku will survive. Some would say that Lelouch’s death will be a fitting satisfactory end to Code Geass, and ensure that it says that way. Considering that Sunrise and CLAMP are known for having tragic ending to their series, Code Geass is no exception.
But those are just my opinions. So who knows what will happen after episode 25.
"Considering that Sunrise and CLAMP are known for having tragic ending to their series,"
Whaaaat?! Sure, CLAMP during their earlier days are known for their tragic ending (ie. X) but lately, they've had some feel-good ending for their series. As for Sunrise, this is the same studio which gave us Mai Hime, the mother of reset anime.
Alright, so, I'm just going to put my two cents in right here.
Cornelia = Apocolypse. Why the hell, can't she just die? Honestly, I'm surprised her cammel toe hasn't eaten her alive. In my life time, the worlds was to end twice(see 2000 and 6/6/06)and supposed to end -again- (see 2012). ...This is the third freaking time that she was supposed to die. Can we just get it over with?
AND WHAT THE HELL IS WITH GUILLFORD? He doesn't look like a fag! Open your eyes, people. He TOTALLY looks like one of those twins from the matrix movie, if you think about it.
I just wanted to lighten the comments section, since I do so love memento and I hate to see you people fighting D: Isn't there enough B.S. going on in the series alone?
As for the OVA or Movie, I'm still trying to find where this rumor came from. If anyone has half crediable sites (see A.N.N), please inform me.
