Episode 15
Continuing from last episode, Lelouch directly confronts his father by asking him the question he asked 8 years ago: why the Emperor didn't protect Marianne. He also wants to know if the Emperor knew that other royal families shunned Marianne. In a typical Emperor-style, he tells Lelouch that people are not equal. He points out that Lelouch has a power of Geass that other people do not have. He then challenges Lelouch to use Geass on him. Lelouch entertains this idea but he realizes that if he looks into Charles' eyes, then Charles will also look into his eyes since the Emperor's Geass works in the same way as Lelouch's. This means the minute Lelouch looks into Charles' eyes, Charles' mind manipulation Geass will kick in. In the real world, Rolo tells the Black Knights to bring all bodies so they can verify whether there is any experiment done on Britannia soldiers. It's clear, however, that the Black Knights see the situation as slaughter.
Meanwhile, Jeremiah tells Bartley's corpse that although he detests Bartley for modifying his body, he admits that Bartley's loyalty to the royal family was genuine. Because of this, he decides that he'll respect Bartley. Back in Sword of Akasha, Lelouch sends a rocket flying out of his mech, unleashing a bunch of mirror fragments all over the area. Lelouch then uses one of the mirror fragments to look into his father's eyes and unleashes his Geass on the guy, ordering him to die. This way, he doesn't have to look directly into Charles's eyes. As soon as he unleashes his order, the Geass bounces off the mirror and penetrates Charles' eyes. Lelouch grabs one of the mirror fragments and sees Charles pulling out his gun and shooting himself on the chest. Lelouch becomes deliriously happy after seeing Charles conk out, telling figurative Nunnally and his mother that he's finally wins this fight against his own father.
Back in her prison, Kallen slaps Suzaku telling him that she doesn't know anything about Lelouch. Suzaku, however, wants Kallen to swear on Shirley's corpse and intends on finding out the answer using Refrain. He tells her not to be afraid because she will lose her will immediately and answers his question. Upon seeing Kallen's tears, however, Suzaku realizes that he's becoming exactly like Zero so he throws down the needle into the floor. At the same time, C.C finds herself talking to V.V, wondering how long has it been since the two had a direct contact. She tells the boy that she hasn't been able to escape from her fate after all. V.V tells C.C that he'll take over that fate of immortality. Upon getting closer to V.V, C.C is surprised when she notices V.V's injuries. A flashback then shows a young V.V making an oath with Charles, promising each other that even though the world is full of lies, they're not going to lie to one another.
Inside Sword of Akasha, Lelouch finds it hard to believe that Charles is dead since he's got many things he wants to ask and there are many people he'd like Charles to apologize to. Much to his horror, Charles replies by asking him to whom he should apologize. Lelouch is surprised and tries to Geass Charles again but it didn't take. Lelouch tries to shoot Charles using gun but he can't die either. Charles points out this precise fact and shows Lelouch the Geass tattoo on his hand, the same one that's on C.C's forehead. Inside the cult's throne, C.C wonders why Charles took V.V's code to the point that he killed the brother he loved. C.C then tells the obviously dead V.V that she knew he liked Marianne. Meanwhile, Lelouch is now in the state of shock/catatonic knowing that he can't possibly win if the Emperor is immortal. The Emperor tells Lelouch that in exchange for his Geass, he obtained a new power.
The Emperor then raises some kind of pillar and presses the button on it, intend on teaching Lelouch about the real shape of this world. Upon doing so, a circle of light envelops Lelouch and all of a sudden, he finds himself inside a white room filled with the mask that was previously floating in the sky. After the masks completely materialize, there are gears appearing behind it. Meanwhile inside a forest, Ougi is reunited by Villetta, who tells him that "Chigusa" was just her name when she lost her memory. Ougi knows that her real name is Villetta and wants to say that to him she's still the same girl but Villetta cuts him off, telling him that she's a Britannia Baron. If she doesn't erase the disgrace of associating herself with an Eleven, she has no reason to live. She, however, wonders why a terrorist saved a Britannia soldier. Ougi admits that at first he just wants to supervise her act but as he lived together with her, he started to love her.
Ougi admits that he knows he's her enemy and it sounds stupid but he's fallen for her. Villetta tries to convince herself that it'd have been better if they never met but Ougi's speech is clearly getting to her. Before she can do anything else, however, she suddenly hears rustling sound and when she turns around, she finds Ninja Sayoko standing on top of a tree branch. Inside the weird gears-filled room, Lelouch demands his father to explain Geass and what is he planning. The Emperor snidely replies that it's strange that a child who's been smeared by lies expects other to tell the truth, pointing out Lelouch's mask as Zero. Lelouch argues that a mere student can't possibly gather armies and subordinates. A mask, however, points out that Euphemia is lost in the process and his figure has been exposed to Suzaku and Nunnally. Lelouch claims that people tell lies to others throughout their lives so he feels that he's no different to any of them.
The mask wonders why Lelouch lies even though he wants others to understand the real him. All of a sudden the mask turns into himself. Multiple Lelouch then appears and accuses him of wishing that he won't be recognized if he wears the mask. Another claims that this is because if his real self is known, people can see that it's ugly. Lelouch tries to refute this but the visage of the Emperor appears again. He tells Lelouch that there's no need to tell lies because he's Lelouch and Lelouch is him. The Emperor also claims that in this world people are alone. Lelouch doesn't understand this but all of a sudden C.C appears from behind the gears and tells the Emperor that play time is over and that there's no value in it for her anymore. She points out that there's no need to bait her to come since she's already here. The Emperor tells C.C that he'll grant her wish, shocking Lelouch who didn't expect his father to know C.C's wish.
Since it's in her contract, C.C decides to reveal to Lelouch that her wish is to die - For good. She also informs Lelouch that a way to kill her is for her to pass over her power to someone else. She made a contract with Lelouch because there was no one else to pass over her power but now there's Charles. Lelouch is shocked to hear that C.C made a contract just so she can die and that all of these times, she lives to die. C.C points out that people die but Lelouch tells her that there's a meaning to people being born in this world. C.C thinks that's just a fantasy but Lelouch tells her that it's too sad knowing that someone lives just to die. C.C eventually fed up with the word playing and tells Lelouch that if his reason to live still exists, then he should kill her. That way he'll obtain equivalent power to fight Charles. C.C then bids goodbye to Lelouch, telling him that he's too kind. A pillar suddenly appears out of nowhere and C.C puts her hand on it, a red light then takes Lelouch somewhere else.
After Lelouch disappears, C.C asks Charles why he killed V.V but Charles asks her the point of her question since she's going to die after all. Meanwhile in Area 11, Lohmeyer is talking to Nunnally about redevelopment of Saitama ghetto. Before she leaves, however, Nunnally stops her, asking to hold her hand. She then asks Lohmeyer if she's sure that this plan won't disadvantage the Elevens. Lohmeyer claims that this is the best way for both sides but Nunnally can tell that she's lying. Because of this, she wants Lohmeyer to re-examine this plan once again so that the Elevens won't be disadvantaged. Lohmeyer tries to tell Nunnaly to leave this matter to the expert but Nunnally raises her voices, reminding her that the Governer General is her. Meanwhile, Suzaku is back in Ashford with the intention of directly confronting Lelouch. When he finds out from Rivalz that Lelouch hasn't been in school, he runs back to the briefing room.
Unfortunately for him, the officer in charge simply tells him that the situation is normal. This causes Suzaku to realize that Lelouch has controlled all members of the surveillance team. Back at the Dallas Research Institute, Schneizel apologizes for coming late, claiming that he was talking to Nunnally. At the same time, Nunnally tells Suzaku how she was talking to Schneizel about raising the status of Area 11 to Satellite Area. Suzaku, however, is more concerned with the fact that Zero is Lelouch. Having said that, he's also worried about what will happen to Nunnally if the Emperor finds out about this. A flashback shows the Emperor telling Suzaku that if Lelouch regains his memory, he intends on using Nunnally. Upon seeing Suzaku's face, Nunnally wonders if he's also keeping a secret from her. Suzaku claims that he won't lie to Nunnally so she asks him if he'd tell her the person that she spoke to the other day. She's guessing it was Lelouch.
Meanwhile, Rolo has been informed by the Knights that they can't find Lelouch. Lelouch himself is now lost in what looks like someone's memory. He sees a young girl passing out in the middle of a street but when he can't catch her body. C.C then appears, explaining that this is her memory. Lelouch realizes that although the shape is that of C.C, it's not exactly her. Similarly, this 'C.C' does not recognizes Lelouch and wonders about his identity. A flashback then shows a nun asking C.C if she has a reason to live. Back then a young C.C told the nun that she doesn't understand but she doesn't want to die. Upon hearing this, the nun urged C.C to make a contract with her so she can give C.C a power to survive. In exchange, the nun wanted C.C to grant her wish one day. Back in the real world/the forest, Sayoko throws a bunch of Kunai at Villetta, causing the later to dodge and shoot every now and then. Ougi desperately tries to ask the two to stop but neither heeds his words.
Eventually Villetta is running out of bullets and is cornered into a cliff. When Sayoko throws the decisive Kunai to kill her, however, Ougi steps in front of Villetta and takes the hit for her. This causes him to fall into the cliff, head first. Villetta immediately jumps off the cliff as well and reaches for Ougi as the two fall down into the river. Back to C.C, she explains to Lelouch that her Geass manifestation is the ability to make people love her. Deep in her heart, she wished that she would be loved by someone. That wish was granted by Geass and she was loved by many. But the love ended up being too overwhelming. Before long, she's not sure if they love her for real or not. The only one that she trusted was the nun. Unfortunately for C.C, the nun later on revealed that she deceived C.C. She wanted to end her own eternal life and the only way to do this is to pass on her power to someone with fixed Geass, which C.C had already possessed at that point.
In her world, C.C explains to Lelouch that her existence was just a mere tool for the nun to end her own life. She also guesses that Lelouch is not here yet in that he's not a part of her past. He's someone from reality. She believes that Lelouch is probably someone important for (the real) C.C. Lelouch finds this hard to believe but this C.C believes that he's been sent here to protect him from something. Inside Sword of Akasha, C.C tells Charles that those who hate him and those who love her have all disappeared in the flow of time. C.C believes that her long trip will finally end. Cut to a shot of her standing next to Charles. All of a sudden, Lelouch can be heard calling her from inside his Frame. Unfortunately the Emperor unleashes a bunch of devices to stop the Frame so that he can take over C.C's power. Lelouch, however, wants to know why C.C didn't pass over her eternal life Hell to him, wondering if she feels sorry for him. C.C begins to cry upon hearing this.
Lelouch tells her not to die with that kind of face and that she should laugh before she dies. He promises to make her laugh so he wants her to live. Upon hearing this, C.C pulls herself out of the Emperor's clutch, runs to the pillar and starts pressing the button to release Lelouch's frame. Lelouch then programs the frame to destroy the Sword of Akasha. After some weird/creepy images of clock and dead people walking around, C.C can be seen falling from the platform. Lelouch, however, tries to get closer to her, telling her that he knows her Geass and true wish. He then manages to get closer to her and reached her hand before she falls into the abyss. Back in Dallas, Nina demonstrate the ability of her new bomb, which manages to destroy a large area in a matter of seconds. Schneizel is very glad to see this, calling Nina a genius and referring the bomb as Damocles. Meanwhile, Lelouch and C.C are back in the throne room but unfortunately C.C lost her memories, thinking that Lelouch is her new master.
Highlights:
* Yay for Kallen! She actually gives Suzaku the slaps that he needs.
* I'll have to give credit where it’s due. Props to Suzaku for realizing that he's almost become a monster in his attempt to kill another monster.
* CLAMP got their claws all over this property. When I saw the gears coming out behind the mask, all I can remember is those gears of fate that Hinoto-hime from X keeps seeing in her dream-gazing.
* Ougi is a brave man. Not only his pride was on the line, his life was at stake too. For all he knows, Villetta could have killed him there and then. But no, he decides to go on with the confession anyway.
* The whole gears world thing ends up becoming like Evangelion kind of retrospective for Lelouch.
* So I was right after all. C.C's true wish is to die. And the only way this is possible is if someone else takes over her power.
* Nunnally telling Lohmeyer who's actually running the show. Never thought I'd see that from her.
* Lelouch's secret is officially a no-secret anymore. I wonder if this means that Nunnally will be in danger?
* Nunnally is far more perceptive than I thought. She knows if someone is lying to her even though she can't see their face.
* C.C's true wish is to be loved not to die. But because of Geass, she no longer knows if someone loves her for real or not. Plus thanks to Geass, she now has to live an eternal life while her loved ones die.
Impression:
I really feel sorry for C.C throughout this episode. She has a really rough life before and even after she obtained her Geass. When she was young, she was poor and malnourished and no one cared to give her attention and food. It's understandable that she craves love and attention and Geass basically attuned itself to her desire to be loved. Thanks to her Geass, she receives attention (and food as well) but eventually she realizes that their attention might not be genuine. Oh, this explains why she likes to eat Pizza so much. If she's always hungry all of her life, then obviously one thing that she craves the most is food. I wonder why Pizza instead of fried chicken though. Anyway, this episode reveals that immortal Geass users can actually die if they give their power to someone equally powerful. This makes me wonder if the Emperor took V.V's Geass because he loves his brother and wants the guy to die normally or because he's a greedy for power ass.
C.C, on the other hand, either loves Lelouch or at the very least care a lot about him that she doesn't want him to suffer the Hell of eternal life. She probably thought of using him but now that there's Charles, she feels it'd be better if she gives the 'curse' to Charles. Besides, Lelouch clearly is incapable of killing her, thus her "you're too kind" comment (one might disagree but this is her assessment of his character). Also, it's kind of sad to know that even with Geass, her life wasn't any better. She clearly was a slave at one point in her life and was treated badly. And very recently, she was strapped in a straight jacket and placed into a tube because they consider her dangerous. I really hope that by the end of the series, she's happy somehow. I am just not sure if Lelouch is the one who can give her that happiness. Moving along, I am not actually worried about Ougi and Villetta yet. I'm more worried of what will happen once Ougi survives. Will he still be loyal to Zero or will he be swayed to Villetta's side?

Ougi and Viletta <3
I hope those two are still alive at the end of the series.
Great episode. I think it's safe to say now that the writers can probably wrap this story up this season. Unless, of course, if they throw another curveball.
Yes! Yehey my KALLEN'S safe... thanks god... I LOVE YOU....
So Suzaku finally regains his sanity? I thought he'd go crazy and start killing Lulu's closest friends/allies.
Hmm, now I have no idea where this series will go. Especially now the Black Knights see Zero's recent act as massacre.
I'm so ready for this series to end so it's good to know that the writers are placing all of the necessary elements in this episode.
I actually feel relieved for Kallen now. If C.C is going to die then one girl must stay alive for Lelouch at the end, right?
Actually he didn't shot the ceiling. He had a bunch of mirrors in his mech and shot them out to let them scatter. I wouldn't put it past Lelouch to plan ahead in case he's outside of his mech and couldn't have direct eye conntact.
Actually he didn't shot the ceiling. He had a bunch of mirrors in his mech and shot them out to let them scatter. I
Thank you for that. It's not really clear what he did until I actually stopped the video and analyzed the scene frame by frame.
I still don't understand what the Sword of Akasha is actually for. Does it mean that the 'God' that Charles referred to was figurative?
A lot of people pointed on in the preview and the like that Lelouch's Geass has mysteriously deactivated, which might mean C.C.'s immortality has passed onto him and now he's the master warlock calling the shots. That would be a pretty tough problem to work around - I don't think Rollo still has his Geass now that V.V. is dead, but Lelouch could still have his even though he's immortal because C.C. is still alive.
Pure win episode. So much cool things happened. Kallen slapping the bastard made my day. VV died made my day. CC's backstory made my day. So much win :D
@ Anonymous:
Well, you could see at the end of the episode that C.C. no longer has the mark on her forhead.
It may be because she has passed it over to Lelouch (something I don't think she'd do), or because the memory loss has "deactivated" it (remember when Lelouch didn't have his geass power because of memory loss?)
The whole geass thingy seems to have alot to do with mentality...and who knows, if her memory has been reseted to slave-life, it's like she'd never received geass -> immortality.
What I really want to know:
Why the hell does every immortal Person in every Animes, Film, Book or whatever want to die?
I mean if I would be immortal I would have the fucking greatest life. You can go around killing and robbing and nobody can stop you by killing, because you can always stand up.
Man Im jealous.
Ha! Back in Season 1 I predicted that 'to die' would be C.C.'s request.
FlyTaggart: Imagine yourself being the only immortal (or one of the very few immortals) in the world. You live throughout the centuries never aging, never dying, but having to witness those you care about grow old and die leaving you behind.
It's called the Survivor Syndrome.
I forgot to mention: Nina and the fellow researchers at the Dallas institute after their first successful testing of the nuke (I assume underground testing btw) reminds me of what I read about the 'real world' early nuclear tests during the Manhatten project. They were just as enthusiastic but the people in real life later came to regret the monstrosity they created.
I feel like Shirley's character didn't serve any purpose. She was like a distraction for the viewers, so they'll root for her and Lelouch. And I was kinda disappointed that she was conveniently killed. But of course from the very start I'm all for (tragic) romance between CC and Lelouch.
this episode is good....but still I don't C.C.'s name....
@Garten: The PV of WORLD END is released now

"I am not actually worried about Ougi and Villetta yet. I'm more worried of what will happen once Ougi survives."
IF he survives, he could just go into a coma at this point...
@Garten: The PV of WORLD END is released now
Thank you. I'll try to cover it once the file is out. But I haven't been able to find it apart from YouTube.
Even if Suzaku didn't inject Kallen with refrain, can you imagine their friendship now? I personally wouldn't want to be friends with someone who at one point tried to inject me with a drug.
@Flytaggart
I agree. If I was immortal, I would enjoy life too. I mean sure, it'd be sad missing a few friends and family but you'll make new ones and you don't have to worry about being dead.
I like that C.C has lost her memories and I guess her immortality as well. I think the writers make a good decision there, because now we Know her motivation for helping Lelouch. We also know how one gains the power she had.
I have liked C.C.'s character, but its nice to see her vulnerable. We have seen Lelouch depressed. We have seen Susaku's many emotional disfunctions. Have seen pretty much every character in a vulnerable state aside from C.C.
I'd like to see how it plans out. As far as if her Code was taken by Charles or if transferred to Lelouch really doesn't matter to me. Its bound to be an interesting ride either way.
Good episode...it's getting really interesting now.
I'm so glad that Suzaku stopped himself...hope him and Lelouch make up at the end...really miss the sane, nice Suzaku from way back...
Wish Gino and Anya are more involved though...Gino's like the only non-emo around and Anya seems to have a geass connection.
I feel bad for CC as well -- all she wants is to be accepted in life, I suppose, perhaps because she is so different from "normal" people? I'd like to think that she only cares enough for Lulu as a friend and not a lover because that sort of relationship seem to be so rare in anime these days -- everyone has a crush on someone, yadayadaya. Thank goodness Kallen slapped Suzaku because it's about time someone did.
@flytaggart: I find it disturbing that you would find being able to kill and rob however much you please as your main reason for wanting immortality.
I'm glad Suzaku stopped himself, but seeing how he didn't even notice Arthur he's probably still got a couple screws loose. But really, rather than worrying about whatever anyone else is going to do, I think Nina and Schneizel side is going to come up with something particularly explosive..
If C.C has that Geass, why hasn't Lelouch been under her love Geass? I assume she can't stop her Geass, right? Or is she using contacts just like Lelouch? That means with today's technology, it's actually possible to repress those Geass and live a normal life, right? C.C can actually find love without worrying that she actually put them under her 'spell', so to speak.
question.
C.C. have the memories being a slave. would that be the time before she meets the nun?
cuz i see chains at her leg. and i don't see how to become a slave after having the Geass power.
FlyTaggart, urukhay: It seems neither of you have seriously considered the implications of living without dying, losing your loved ones. Do you really think the rest of humanity would be willing to accept an immortal human? They'd lock you up in a research lab and run tests on you.
As it was said in Bicentennial Man: humans will accept an Immortal Robot, but they will never accept an Immortal Human. It breeds jealousy, hatred, resentment. You'll be shunned.
And to top it all off you want to use your immortality to kill and pillage and steal? Also "it'd be sad missing a few friends and family but you'll make new ones and you don't have to worry about being dead." ? That is just cold.
@EVO: Obviously you missed the part where the Emperor said 'in exchange for his Geass he has become immortal.'
C.C.'s geass power was traded for her immortality. You cannot have the power of geass at the same time as having the power of the immortal.
I suspect nun planned everything nicely so that she could make C.C. immortal when she's still looking hot... LOL I guess the nun still have a heart... I'll do anything to die if I'm stuck looking ugly!
@EVO
I gather that once you inherit the immortality and power of the Geass giver, you lose your own existing Geass. I think Charles says something like that; "Instead of Geass, I got the new power(immortality & Geass giver ability)" or some sort.
I feel so sad C.C. ends up having only memory of her slave-girl days. And I would hate, hate, hate it if she is like this till final episode. Anyone may likes her moe-ness but it cannot be compared to her old self. She was veeeeery cool before.. The only one who could order Lelouch around.. damn it...
I must be the only one who went @ O @ ;;; and thought Viletta had bit it in order to save Ougi... I mean, the scene is like her head heads for "that rock", not just "the sea with rocks" but it seems most people think both will survive so um.. that's good. Maybe that would turn Viletta into Chigusa again? I can hope, can't I? :)
It would just be so ironic if Ougi were to have amnesia after the fall and Villeta has to take care of him. Also, no wonder CC keeps saying geass is the path of lonelines or something like that in the first season...
Now I wonder how did V.V. got his power...
From what I know, or what I think I know, the Geass user will have to achieve a certain level of power before he/she can kill the provider... Either V.V. was stuck in his immortal form young or he got a plastic surgery which seriously sucks (who wants to stay 'that' young?)... The former is more possible, but that means V.V. had achieve that at the age of >15... He must be a genius by then... Unless, there's another way...
But if he did possessed Geass before, I wonder what's his power than...
C.C. commented that V.V. actually really liked Marianne in this episode, and Lelouch stated that everyone found her to be an eyesore in the kingdom when he was in the Sword of Akasha with Charles... and Charles said to V.V. in previous episode that V.V. lied to him again... So the first time was? I wonder if there was a triangle at the time before Marianne's death?
I've got a bad feeling about Nina's Damocles bomb =_=;
@Ciel
Not so much of a surprise, is it? Look at Mao. I already forgot but I think he got the Geass from C.C. when he was um..6? and it went nuts when he was still little too, just like V.V.
Talk about Mao, I wonder what really made C.C. left him. Was it pity? Or was it the same feeling she feels for Lelouch? I think Mao's Geass had reached the state where he could take over C.C.'s power and killed her already (Geass in two eyes) but she just left him and go binding another contract with Lelouch. For what? There's still that "Found you, my..." in SS1 ep.1. Maybe it's something as simple as she did so upon Marianne's request to see to her son... (Well another thing that always lingered in my mind too that why the request seemed to be for Lelouch only. What about Nunnally??) but she had a chance again with Mao searching for her and was more than ready to kill her. Or that was her wish but Lelouch just interfered without knowing? heh.. I made too many random thinking.... I better stop here.
quote - Schneizel apologizes for coming late, claiming that he was talking to Nunnally. At the same time, Nunnally tells Suzaku how she was talking to Schneizel about raising the status of Area 11 to Satellite Area. Suzaku, however, is more concerned with the fact that Zero is Lelouch.
From what I could understand she said brother not actually indicating which, hence resulting in suzaku assuming it is Zero is referring to and not anyone else.
@Avocado Sushi
C.C. tells Lulu what I understand to be that of all the people she has made a contract with, no one has ever reached the point where they could actually kill her. It was never stated that a geass in both eyes was the point where the maximum power was reached, it was just said that eventually someone with a geass gets to a point of enough power with it (so as to get or be given the immortality of the geass giver). On the other hand, C.C.’s words suggest that Lulu already has enough power to actually kill her if he wanted to (or knew how, to begin with), therefore, maybe the same could be said about Mao (who definitely had a very powerful geass) and C.C. just never told him of the whole “end” of the geass cycle and how to kill her (we know that Mao never got to know which is C.C.’s real wish). Considering that Mao went nuts, it’s no surprising if C.C. just didn’t want him to get her immortality, even if it meant she had to keep on living.
In addition, C.C. had a permanently activated geass in both eyes (like Mao) by the time she got her immortality, but on the other hand Charles could still activate and deactivate his at will, just like Rolo who has had a geass for quite a while now. Therefore, a permanently activated geass doesn’t really relate to how powerful it is, or Charles (who got his geass more than 45 years ago) got to a permanently activated point and surpassed it, eventually regaining the ability to activate it at will, while Rolo maybe doesn’t use his geass as much as we think (arguably, while he seems to use it a lot now, when he just had missions to go kill people, he could of have just used it a few times every many month when he got a mission) and therefore hasn’t gotten it permanently activated yet (at which point he would die).
And finally, we still don’t know a few things like who gave V.V. his geass and eventually his immortality (definitely not C.C.); if C.C. ever made a contract with Marianne or not; what actually happened that made C.C. leave Britannia as well as the whole Geass directory in charge of V.V., at which time she supposedly travelled to China and eventually met Mao. Supposedly, after this she went to Japan and met Lulu (as a child) before the invasion, being eventually captured by Clovis and Bartley, giving birth to the Code R project and trough which she would stay isolated until she eventually met Lulu.
And sorry if that whole rambling went for too long or if it doesn’t make much sense ˆ-ˆu
This might have been posted by now, but I'm too lazy to go through 11 pages of comments. There is a question that I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on:
I think by now we have established the fact that only someone that VV or CC has given the power of geass to can kill them. Furthermore, the person with geass that kills them will take their place and obtain their immortality(code) while losing their geass. If I haven't made any mistakes in this logic then it is pretty apparent that there is a big issue at the point where CC claims that she's finally met someone who can kill her - Charles. If Charles has already taken the geass of VV, meaning that he has lost his geass and gained VV's immortality, then he has in effect, taken VV's place. If this is the case, which everything I've read tells me it is, then how can Charles kill CC? If Charles can kill CC in his immortal state then VV should have been able to kill her too and vice versa. Therefore, the only person with the capability of killing CC would be a user of geass, which at this stage in the anime, includes lelouch and rolo only, not Charles. Long winded question, yeah, but how is Charles supposed to be able to kill her then?
@ smurf,
This is what Nunnally said: "Ee, Hongoku no Schneizel nii-sama kara renraku ga.......Area 11 wa eisei area ni shoukaku dekisou datte."
@ Mayer,
I agree. I don't understand how Charles can take over C.C's power when he already possess V.V. Maybe there's difference in the two power? I guess we'll just have to wait.
I'm guessing that C.C.'s true wish is to have true love not to to die....God, I sound like Fuma Monou....
the pic with the caption "Next on Jerry Spinger: My Dad tries to hit on my GF" looks like the two about to do the "Sway" move in the movie "Shall We Dance?"...LOL
yea. CC wants true love i agree with that. and lulu is that person
the writers are rushing things up... this episode advanced the plot but in such a boring way.
-the confrontation between lelouch and charles sucked (maybe because charles sucks).
-VV had a stupid sudden, unexpected death.
-CC's past (perhaps one of the things we were most anxiously awaiting) was explored in a tooooo simple way.
-Kallen's stiiiiiiiill in jail! (this sucks the most for me).
-The whole Suzaku using refrain on Kallen thing was just to keep is expectant.
Anyway, I feel the plot's getting trashy... I hope thing get better in the next episodes.
hisaya i agree with you, i am worried about that freackin bomb thing that nina created,i hope schneizel dont use that bomb against the black knights.
Umm.. Anyone know where i can find the manga for Code Geass?
Strange theory: what if Marianne was the one that gave V.V the Geass, so he had to kill her, and she wanted to die? I would fit with why the emperor didn't protect her and C.C's "I know you liked Marianne."
Also: C.C was saying that she wanted to be loved, and her Geass turned out to be the ability to make people love her. Lelouch was, if I remember correctly, planning to take down Britannia but thinking how he didn't have enough power to defeat the king, and then C.C gives him "the power of the King." So would it be like the Geass you get relates to your deepest wish or something?
Anyone goes to the death.
I may not watch a happy ending.
@h
no no no no and no. then how would you explain VV is the same age as charles but looks like 10? VV got the power long time ago, before marianne appeared on the map and long before charles became emperor. Now, on the other hand, do believe Marianne was a Geass user
I know this is very late....but did anyone notice, in the episode where lelouch played chess with scheinzer, that scheinzer made an illegal chess move D:
He put his king into check...which Im pretty sure you cant do D:
It may just be me but its been bugging me for a while xD
Sorry for this bit of rambling but i just wanted to know if anyone else noticed :/
