After watching this one, I think it's time to brace for possible massacre. Even if Lelouch manages to win against the Emperor, there are so many things that are stacked against him that I don't think he can regain everything that he used to have. Right now, the Emperor wants to use him like a puppet, he has made an enemy with V.V, he still hasn't been able to save Nunnally and Kallen, Suzaku is hellbent on ruining his life, Cornelia still want to have that Zero head platter, and of course Nina still want to unleash Nuclear bomb on him. Of course, I haven't mentioned the possibility that Villetta will turn Ougi against him, Rolo going insane on him, and the possibility that the Black Knights will bail out on him. Last but not least, there is C.C. So far she's been going along with his plan to take over the world. However, with him going overboard by killing the cult members this time, I wonder if she'll start to be wary of him.
Episode 14
The episode begins with a flashback to the time when Marianne was still alive. Back then, she was enjoying the view of a park accompanied by C.C. Not far from them, the Emperor and V.V are having conversation. Back then, V.V hoped that the Emperor hasn't forgotten their contract, which is to kill God and to destroy the world's falsehood. In the present time, Rolo admits outright to Lelouch that he was the one who killed Shirley, claiming that her memory has returned and he spotted her chasing after Lelouch with a gun in her hand. He tells Lelouch that as promised, he'd get rid of Lelouch's enemy. Psycho. Lelouch, however, plays his part well as well, pretending that he's grateful that V.V got rid of Shirley because otherwise she'd have divulged his secret. Lelouch, however, wants them to destroy Geass cult by commanding Black Knights to do a surprise attack on them. Rolo thinks they can't since there are still Geass users in that cult but Lelouch claims that he's doing this for their happiness. Lelouch points out that V.V is suspicious of Rolo. Rolo admits to being afraid of V.V since the later was the one who found him but he decides to trust Lelouch after Lelouch claims that they are siblings.
Meanwhile, Cornelia has been imprisoned by V.V. and is bitter about it. She asks V.V if he's going to kill her or manipulate her using Geass like Euphemia. V.V is impressed that Cornelia is willing to cast away her rank and abandon her troops to proof her sister's innocence. It reminds him that siblings is the most beautiful relationship in this world. Cut to a flashback of the cult's members and some weird mask in the sky. Could that be the God that V.V keeps talking about? Meanwhile, Suzaku is shocked to hear a doctor saying that Shirley killed herself with a gun. During the funeral, Milly and Rivalz notice that Lelouch is not there. Nina who receives the news is also shock to hear this. She claims that Shirley was a cheerful person and the truth is she disliked her. Kanon wonders if she's jealous of Shirley and Nina sadly says that she probably was because she couldn't even shed a tear. Kanon assures her that it's okay for her to cry within herself. In the Chinese Federation, C.C bitches about how Lelouch has left her to be the official spokeperson while she stuffs her mouth with Pizza. As it turns out, she's speaking to someone who wonders if Lelouch has forgotten his contract.
All of a sudden, Lelouch's face appears on the monitor, asking her to give Jeremiah and Rolo the location of the cult. He's also sent a team to destroy the cult. C.C is surprised to hear this since she thought Lelouch wanted to use the cult. She also points out that the people in there are not armed forces, just people who research about Geass. Lelouch, however, insist on annihilating the cult so C.C wonders what happened. Lelouch explains that she feels that Shirley's life was trifled by Geass right to the end. He feels that Geass killed Shirley. C.C wonders if he wants to ensure that the same thing won't happen again. Lelouch points out that if this really is the power of a King, then one power itself is enough. Oh no, he's heading towards that slippery slope. Lelouch wants to eradicate Rolo and everything Geass. This is the least he can do for Shirley. C.C sarcastically wonders if Lelouch is also going to erase her but Lelouch dismisses her saying that even if he wants to kill her, he can't kill her immortal witch ass. In response, C.C points out that in that case, doesn't he think V.V will be the same? Lelouch, however, claims that he'll also be satisfied if V.V can't do anything anymore.
Lelouch basically wants to keep V.V imprisoned using the method that Clovis once used on C.C. He refers to Clovis placing C.C in straight jacket before putting her in that weird tank at the start of the series. Wow, what a great idea! Especially since that one worked so well - NOT! Anyway, Lelouch wants a confirmation if C.C is in this with him or not. He's worried since she once was the head of the Geass cult. C.C tells him that was then and besides, she was just a mere window dressing. She's definitely not V.V. However, she and Lelouch are accomplices. Lelouch, however, wants to know if her sympathy won't be a hindrance in the attack so C.C assures him that she's prepared to see this to the last. Upon hearing this, Lelouch wants to know about his contractual obligation with her. What is it that she truly desires?. C.C tells him that it has nothing to do with the upcoming mission and she has no intention to talk about it now. Lelouch responds by saying that she's a selfish/disobedient bitch. Not wanting to be outdone, C.C tells Lelouch that she supposed he can say that because she's C.C. Rowr. For some reason that turns me on more than the shots of her ass and boobs.
Meanwhile, V.V is wondering if Charles already know about Cornelia's situation. In the middle of talking to his men, however, V.V is interrupted by a person saying that Jeremiah wants to talk to him. Much to V.V's surprise, he ends up talking to Lelouch when he switches on the monitor. V.V's followers start to panic, wondering how Lelouch gets Jeremiah's network and is surprised to know that it comes from Ashford High in Area 11. Lelouch tells V.V that there's no time for introduction since he has something that he wants V.V to hear. He wants to know if he was the one who abducted Nunnaly while he was having decisive battle with Britannia not too long ago. In response, V.V tells him that if he knows that then it means his memory has returned as well. Lelouch confirms what V.V wants to know: He is Zero. V.V, however, couldn't care less. He just wants Lelouch to hand over C.C. If he does that, he'll be free. Lelouch eventually snaps and tells V.V that it's too late for that because this has now turned into a war between him and V.V. V.V is amused to hear this, saying that by the time they come to his place, he'll be someplace else.
All of a sudden, however, a bunch of Knightmare Frames lead by C.C burst into the area. C.C tells the other that the location of V.V has been pinpointed. Lelouch then reveals that his Ashford High setting is actually just a setting and he's actually situated not far from the cult's area, accompanied by some more Frames, Jeremiah, and Rollo. He mocks V.V for thinking that he's still in Area 11 even though he's already out a long time ago. As soon as he ends his conversation, Black Knights begin to destroy the cult and killing its members. V.V orders his cult members to salvage research data and to prepare a particular mech for him. The members are surprised to know that V.V will use it himself but V.V reminds them that there's no time and besides, he wants to teach discipline to Marianne's kid. Speaking of Marianne's kid, her other child, Nunnally, is now talking to Kallen. Kallen is still in disbelief to know that Nunnaly is a princess. Nunnally apologizes for telling lies and vice versa. Nunnally tells Kallen how she feels nostalgic about Ashford but she can't talk to anyone there except Suzaku. Kallen wonders what Lelouch is like as brother but get interrupted when Suzaku comes in.
Meanwhile, inside the cult, members of Black Knight starts doubting their mission. They wonder if this place really is the facility belonging to Britannian army since no one here retaliates and they've killed unarmed people. Zero, however, swoops into the place, telling them not to stop. He claims that Britannia is working and experimenting on making indestructible soldiers here. He wants all research data to be destroyed and to make sure that nothing goes unnoticed, he wants everything to be destroyed. If they find someone who seems to be a test subject (read: can't die), he wants them to seal the person in a high-pressure case and he will personally verify the person in question. Meanwhile, Bartley was trying to find Cornelia when he too becomes a victim of the random senseless killing. C.C recognizes him as the guy who was with Clovis. Meanwhile, a group of cult members recognizes C.C, thinking that she's going to save them when they die from a sniper bomb blast. In his dying speech, Bartley regrets that he never gets to deliver C.C to the Emperor. Meanwhile, Diethard is talking to Toudou and Chiba, saying that Zero is off destroying Britannia's research facility but he didn't tell him the address nor the strategy details.
Chiba is not impressed that Zero has gone on a confidential mission again but Toudou just want him back so they can hurry up the ratification of the United States charter now that the suppression of Saudi has been completed. Li also points out that their alliance with Italy and Holland is dependent upon Zero's return. As soon as the conversation ends, Diethard returns to Sayako, who understands the importance of protecting Zero's secret mission and identity. Because of this, Diethard wants to use her to watch over Ougi, who he feels has been suspicious since the meeting the other day. At an airport, Villetta tries to use her position to get a plane to go to the Chinese Federation. She seems to be concerned about what happened after Lelouch got in contact with Jeremiah. Back to Diethard, he believes that Ougi is secretly communicating with the enemy. Meanwhile, two Black Knight soldiers encounter children with Geass. They use the power to Geass one of them so that he'll shoot the other soldier. The attack ends when Rolo comes and the kids recognized him. Rolo, however, uses his Geass to stop them before killing them under rubbles.
Unknown to Rolo, Lelouch also intends on eliminating him. He intends on offering Rolo's life to Shirley's funeral. It's a compensation. All of a sudden there's an explosion and out of the dust, comes a large ship that C.C recognizes as "Siegfried". Lelouch remembers that this airframe once were connected to Jeremiah's nerve and he confirms this. Lelouch immediately recognizes V.V as the new pilot and in response, he tells Lelouch that he's starting to like Lelouch since he resembles Charles. Although C.C wants to help, Lelouch asks her to step aside since he wants to do this himself. Jeremiah then appears with his frame and attacks V.V from behind, but V.V is not impressed and calls him betrayer. Despite the combined attacks from Jeremiah, Rolo, and Lelouch, V.V easily dodges their attacks. V.V tries to remind Jeremiah that he has a grudge against Zero but Jeremiah tells him that he has a debt to the Imperial family and now he has a chance to settle that. This is all for Marianne. Meanwhile, Suzaku is telling Kallen that Shirley has committed suicide. Kallen doesn't believe this since Shirley is not that kind of girl.
Suzaku agrees and tries to insinuate that Shirley's killer is Lelouch. Speaking of Lelouch, he asks Rolo if he can somehow attach himself to Siegfried. Rolo reminds him that his Geass won't work on V.V but Lelouch tells him to just tail Siegfried and he has a plan later. As it turns out, Lelouch wants to take out Siegfried and Rolo all at once using a bomb that he's devised on Vincent. While Rolo manages to make a dent on one of Siegfried drill-like weapon, V.V orders his followers to escape to EU. He promises them that he'll join as soon as he tidy up the matter here. He believes that even if they can just escape from here, the victory will be his and Charles. V.V then tells Rolo that he's a failure as a Geass user because his heart stops while using Geass. He thinks it'll be amusing if Rolo dies one day as defective unit. As soon as he said this, Siegfried destroys most of Vincent's body but Rolo manages to latch onto Siegfried. Before Lelouch can detonate the bomb, however, someone has attacked Siegfried from the side, Siegfried's weak point. The person is none other than Cornelia. Because Rolo gets disattached from Siegfried, Lelouch decides not to detonate Vincent yet.
Although Cornelia doesn't know that the person on the opposite side is Lelouch/Zero, the two end up working together destroying Siegfried. Both of them want Geass source that is V.V, to die. Siegfried spirals out of control and about to hit Cornelia but Jeremiah jumps out of his frame and scoot her out to safety. The tremor scares the followers but they remember that they must save the research data. They are surprised when they see C.C, who apologizes for abandoning them. Therefore, Geass lineage must end here. She then says that this is hers and Lelouch....but never finishes the sentence before she blasts her ex-follower to dust. Meanwhile, Suzaku tells Kallen that in his heart, he feels that Lelouch is Zero but Kallen denies knowing Zero's identity. Suzaku, however, refuses to believe this and tells Kallen that in order to stop further tragedy, he's going to use something: Refrain. What an ass. He has a twisted idea on how to save people. What makes him think that he has the right to use Refrain on someone just because he wants to get some information? Moving along, V.V drags his body trying to reach his throne when Charles appears.
V.V is pleased, believing that his brother can be relied on. Charles, however, wants to know if V.V sent an assassin to Lelouch. V.V claims that it's for revenge. He also accuses Lelouch of deceiving Nunnally. Charles thinks V.V is lying. Meanwhile, the soldier (Kinoshita) is horrified when he realizes that the people that they've kill are not Britannian soldiers but children. At the same time, Lelouch manages to find the location of V.V. However, before he can eliminate the little guy, his frame is being pulled by some kind of power towards the opening in throne. When the bright light subsides, Lelouch finds himself in front of the Sword of Akasha. Lelouch wonders if the image in front of him is a hologram but then he hears Charles' voice coming from in front of him saying "more or less". He continues by saying a boorish nightmare known as "the Sword of Akasha" is in front of them. Lelouch is pissed off upon recognizing the voice but Charles continues to address him as his son, telling him that he's come in time. Time for Atonement. Huh?
Highlights
* Siblings is the most beautiful relationship in the world said V.V. Assuming that he wasn't talking about siscon or bro-cest, YES or NO?
* C.C stuffing herself with Pizza. Since her room is littered with Pizza boxes, one can assume that she ate them all. So how is it that she doesn't gain any weight?
* Lelouch on the slippery slope of becoming one Emperor above all. Killing the cult? Tick? Wanting to subject V.V to the same situation that Clovis put C.C in at the start of the story? Tick.
* Lelouch's and C.C's banter.
Lelouch: "You're a selfish bitch".
C.C: "Sure. Because I'm C.C".
She's Awesome. *Worships on the altar that is C.C* For some reason that line reminds me of Daryl Hannah's line in Blade Runner: "I think Sebastian, therefore I am".
* I guess everything is out in the open now? I refer to Lelouch no longer pretending that he has lost his memory.
* Damn, Rolo is one cold-hearted bastard. The group of children with Geassed recognized him as "Rolo-nii-san" but he cruelly Geass them and flatten their body with rubbles.
* Siegfried looks pretty cool although it reminds me of an enemy from Giant Robo.
* I still don't understand what the Emperor tries to achieve. I do think that his backstory looks more and more like Lelouch though.
* What does he meant by "Time for Atonement". Oh wait, come to think of it he and Lelouch have a lot to atone for.
Impression/Theories
Siblings and family are affirmed as the theme of Code Geass in this episode. Unfortunately this series features many disfunctional sibling relationship so this won't end well. Also, I don't believe that siblings are the most beautiful relationship in this world. There are people who just don't get along with their siblings but have a really good sibling-like relationship with their friends. I am not talking about Lelouch and Rolo, of course, since that one is even more disfunctional than Lelouch's relationship with her real family. Anyway, Shirley's death gives me a really bad feeling about how things will unfold. Everything seem to unravel in a bad manner now. I'm kind of glad that I have no particular character that I feel attached to otherwise, if there's a massacre, this will be a really hard show to watch. At any rate, Lelouch's justification that Geass killed Shirley was really weak. I don't see how he can justify the killing of several cult members just because he used Geass on Shirley and she was killed by Rolo after he Geassed her. He and Rolo are the ones who should take responsibility for using Geass on Shirley not some innocent Geass cult members.
It's obvious that Lelouch is heading into a slippery slope that I'm sure the Emperor headed to after acquiring his Geass. It's likely that the same kind of tragedy happened to him so he wanted to get rid of Geass and become the sole ruler. In the end, how will Lelouch be different from his father if he keeps going towards this path? C.C was right saying that with his new direction, he'll kill her as well. This probably explains why Charles/the Emperor wants to kill C.C since she's one of the few witches from the cult who are still alive. Moreover, his plan is futile. If he can't kill either V.V or C.C then what's the point of trying to kill either one? At any rate, I just feel sorry for C.C. It seems people who are given Geass by her are either went crazy or turns crazy due to power. I also end up liking her better because of her attitude in this one. Anyway, back to Lelouch, I can understand if he wanted to kill V.V for what he did to Nunnally but I can't agree with his decision to slaughter the members of the cult, who basically just follow V.V's orders. One can argue that this is the peril of following the wrong leader but I still don't see the point of senseless killing that has happened in this episode.
I now wonder if Lelouch will end up just like Charles: all alone with only C.C as his only ally. I think that's what happened with Charles. He's been all alone with only V.V at his side. I also wonder if C.C is the God that Charles has been wanting to kill. For some reason, she seems pretty nonchalant about the cult members being massacre. Maybe she knows well than to defy those she has given power to? Although she doesn't fulfill the exact same role, sometimes I wonder if she's meant to be a representation of Morgan Le Fay, the witch in Arthurian legend? If one assumes that Charles is Arthur, then it makes sense that she wants to ruin his life. Moving along, another person who is as unpleasant as Lelouch here is Suzaku. I can't believe that he told Kallen that Lelouch killed Shirley even though he has no proof whatsoever. Sure, Lelouch isn't exactly a saint but this doesn't make him look better either. I'm hoping that I'm wrong here but it looks like he also intends on giving Kallen a refrain injection? Last but not least, let's start the bet as to what the Emperor had in mind when he said that it's time for Atonement.
Poor Kallen! Someone please save her. I can't believe that Suzaku is going to do what I think he'll do.....
I agree that Suzaku has gone too far but Lelouch is not faring better either. I don't like either of them now.
That damn Suzaku..What he's thinking join Kallen in their group and fight The Order of the Black Knight..I hope she not accept than refrain..Damn you Suzaku..By the way this episode it so beautiful seeing MS.KALLEN STADFTELD wearing that clothes is so lovely..I LOVE HER SO MUCH (",) see you again in next episode and wait what will happen...
I don't really care about Lelouch/Suzaku madness but I want to know what kind of relationship Marianne had with C.C. They look like they were best friends. Although that also makes Lelouch/C.C a bit creepy.
i just dont understand why charles britania and v.v is brothers? Its mean v.v. is LuLu uncle? What a joke..
There's no stopping the trainwreck now.
a few mistakes in the first paragraph... Saying V.V. when you were talking about C.C., and Lulu when you wanted to say Rolo...
I think C.C. doesn't gain weight from the pizza since she could just slice off the fat and it would heal over. Its the ultimate liposuction.
This episode seemed really fast paced though, its looking like they can end the series in a few more episodes. I can't wait for what happens in the Sword of Akashe!
Yay Lelouch is kicking some major ass now. Near the end when C.C. shot her weapon at the train, I think the sentence she meant to finish was 'this is her's and lelouch's contract'.
Suzaku is going deeper and deeper. He reminds me of Anakin Skywalker falling into the path of Darth Vadar in Episode III. PATHETIC
Gartan, lately I've been noticing a few mistakes you make in the summaries for this season of Code Geass. e.g. "Lelouch is interrupted by a person saying that Jeremiah wants to talk to him" Don't you mean V.V. is interrupted?
In some Arthurian legends Morgan Le Fay is not evil, instead she is portrayed as a good person. Also she is one of the ladies who took Arthur's dying body back to Avalon.
Also after Charles saying that he thinks V.V. has lied to him again, I have a strong feeling that the person responsible for Marianne's assassination is V.V. himself.
I doubt the 'gods' that Charles and V.V. want to eliminate is C.C. I think they are instead talking about 'human nature'. From some sources it has been stated that Charles is trying to conquer the world, so I think when they say they wish to destroy the 'gods' I think they meant subjecting the world and ensuring that there is no more conflict between people and nations due to political, religious, etc differences.
PS: correct saying is 'fire in the hole', it's not hall.
It originated from 'Fire in the hold' when ships used to be made of wood and carried gunpowder and shells for cannons.
"who killed shirely!?!?"
heh, the mystery was solved within the first minute :p
now, the question is, how will they write him off? will lelouch kill him, or will he die of heart failure?
The cult was dangerous, it's very existence was a potential liability and Lelouch's Geass power could have been compromised as a result. In addition to his royal heritage, it's Zero's most hidden secret. It's bad enough Viletta knows about it and Rollo is a user as well, with so many potential traitors Lelouch had to neutralize the cult else they be troublesome for him in the future. It's like killing off his rivals before they could be a serious threat to him.
Also I LOL when people compare Lelouch to Clovis and claim he's a cruel and unusual; the biggest complain about him in this episode was he killed :defenseless" people, but what does that imply? That they would be better to kill if they had weapons where they could kill the Black Knights as well? That's pretty gay, all of them were dangerous and potentially destructive so they might as well have been slaughtered. Unlike the innocent people in Shinjuku, these people were not innocent and have been responsible for atrocities throughout history. Lelouch did the world a dose of good by destroying them.
I don't know if Lelouch realizes the full extent of his actions, but in his RAGE, I can "forgive" (as much as one can forgive a fictional character) his being a bit too quick to react and too unwilling to listen to reason.
Also, don't forget Jeremiah was the one who made Shirley remember in the first palce, which is also the cult's fault even if he didn't mean to.
milkberry: I think the show's actually improving, not getting worse...but whatever, this argument usually leads nowhere, so do your worst.
@lividsama
Yea, seriously. Sigh, I completely give up on Rollo... What a sick puppy. How he killed the kids who called him Rollo-nii-san was seriously disturbing too. Although, I'd really prefer if Lelouch didn't kill him in cold blood - I was really holding my breath when he was about to activate the detonator.
I suppose it's too much to hope that Lelouch and Suzaku (and maybe the Emperor and V.V.) all blow each other up quietly in a corner somewhere before causing any more collateral damage? I like a lot of the supporting characters and really don't want to see (any more of) them sacrificed in this mad war between nutcases.
It does seem like Lelouch is walking the same path that Curly did. I hope he realizes how much he's become just like the father he hates.
Furthermore, can't Rollo's heart problem be solved if they just hook him up with a pacemaker? -_-;;
I find it hard to like any of the characters now with the exception of a few. They are either gullible or just plain douchebags. The first type is a dying type that I think by the time the series end, there wouldn't be any likeable characters left. I also hate the fact that the viewers of this series tend to be rather dismissive of any criticisim that comes towards the show even when they are warranted.
"Also I LOL when people compare Lelouch to Clovis and claim he's a cruel and unusual; the biggest complain about him in this episode was he killed :defenseless" people, but what does that imply? That they would be better to kill if they had weapons where they could kill the Black Knights as well?"
Err, I think it's pretty much suggested by the episode that those people OOtBK killed were innocent researchers who have no idea of what's going on beyond their own research into Geass. Just because some people work for an evil corporation, it doesn't mean they are evil as well. Sometimes they are just uninformed.
I think this has to be the most convoluted episode so far. It gave more question than it answered. I just hope the answers will be satisfying when it comes.
As Lulu fan, I am pretty disappointed with him in this one but the writers have always done this. They make him do one questionable thing and then they make him look like a good guy in another. But I think he'll be in big trouble this time since some of the Black Knights will tell this slaughter to Todo/Ohgi, etc.
I just wonder how in the hell Suzaku's pea-sized brain lets him think he is better than Zero/Lelouch by using refrain to manipulate Kallen? He needs to die a very bad death... I just hope Nunnaly heard him or something. The bastard.
PS: Kallen looked hot.
PS2: the rest of the episode? oh yeah nice... damn VV and Rollo are still alive.
Isn't this series meant to end this season? If that's the case, why are V.V and Rolo still alive? I hope this really is the last season. I'd hate it if they elongated the story more than necessary and make a 3rd season out of it. They're already stretching the plot thin as it is now.
GAH! I was looking forward on Rolo dying.
Does Nina like anyone beside Euphie? Something is wrong with her. Hey, maybe Kanon and Nina will hook up. LOL! I think she just need a man in her life.
I can't believe Suzaku is planning on giving Kallen a refrain and telling her that Lelouch might have killed Shirley. I think Suzaku should know by now that Lelouch liked Shirley. I hope Nunnally is listening on their conversation, but that would mean that she would found out that Lelouch is Zero. Suzaku turned into a real ass.
I agree with some people with Lelouch's idea of killing everyone is to cruel. I know that the Cult is a threat but they were just researchers that was unarmed. I would kinda understand them killing the children who possess Geass since they are a huge threat to the Black Knight.
I'm starting to kind of doubt Charles' motive. His idea is similar to Lelouch. Maybe he just went mad. Also, Charles seems really close to Marianne. I mean I'm betting Marianne knows about the Cult and the Geass before she died, unlike his other wives. I doubt Charles will kill her. Maybe Marianne has a Geass to see the future like on Nunnally's Knighmare. Maybe that's why she lowered security on the palace.
I'm getting a feeling that V.V. didn't like Marianne. V.V. probably killed her. He is probably in love with Charles, (same mentality as Nina and Rolo).
One more thing, I have a feeling that one guy who got controlled by one of the Geass user will likely betray the Black Knight. Watch out Lelouch!
There's 10 episodes left and he's already facing his father. I fear for the last 10 episodes. I don't think we'll be seeing happy ones anytime sooner.
"One can argue that this is the peril of following the wrong leader but I still don't see the point of senseless killing that has happened in this episode."
this marks his descend into madness and looks a couple of his followers are starting to get doubts... i mean killing children and civilians, they are no better than britannia...
and what susaku plans on doing would be no different than would lulu does everyday with his geass, though i am dissapointed on him...
"Does Nina like anyone beside Euphie?"
Yes, she likes table. She humps them when she lonely. XD
This one is an okay episode. It's worth it though just to see Kallen and that regalia dress. She deserves to be a princess. Sadly her would-be prince is a bit insane.
Nah, C.C would stand by Lelouch all the way. That's the difference between her and the other characters like Ougi and Kallen.
Another person that I would believe this to be true is the now Jeremiah... I sure hope Lelouch gets him a new Knightmare soon though...!
that was one snap to many coming from lelouch -.-
i imagine vengance, but a complete homicide is never the way to go
I can see some viewers going batshit when this series end. There are too many WTF materials available here that it's easy to screw this one up if they're not careful.
And oh, please die already Suzaku and take your lover, Lelouch with you.
@Chaos2Frozen
I agree. But I suspect that her wish is to die together with Lelouch when they've eliminated all of the Geass users. Wouldn't it be ironic if Lelouch gets all the way to the throne and then C.C asks him to die with her to completely end the Geass line?
Don't get involved in a war if you don't want to get shot should be the lesson of the day. Research facilities have long been considered valid military targets, they're not desirable targets since they are often filled with non-combatants but in truly desperate wars, such as the one in the show, that often gets thrown by the wayside.
And I think part of the mass slaughter was because, as Lelouch says in the show, you can't tell who has geass and who doesn't, or who might be immortal or not, everyone in that facility was potentially a major, major threat.
:/ Well, Im against Suzaku all the way. Hes completely twisted his own ideals and made everything hes done a waste of time and effort on everyones part not to mention hes about to do something unheard of to Kallen ( She deserves nothing of the sort...D: ).
Lelouch is fighting his father the only way that will work: Using underhanded, sinful, dirty, abominable means. Even goody goody Suzaku has learned that he cant do any good unless he does bad (which is bad for Kallen and Nunnaly probably).
Lelouch has started down this road and for the sake of everyone he has hurt unintentionally he must continue, cuz in the end, though the means may never be as nearly justifiable everyone may like, if Lelou doesnt become lik his father then everything will be better.
The fact is that most of these sins that Lelouch is commiting are only effecting him (his friends are being effected but I take that as effecting Lelou). Hes simultaneously sinning and atoning. All of his sins are bring punishment directly on to him. Hes lost the closeness with his friends, Euphie, Suzakus friendship (even though it wasnt as true in the end as it may have seemed), his memories at one point, Nunnaly, Shirley, Kallen, and not to mention hes been forced to forget most of this for the good of the Black Knights and a goal much larger than himself now. He has also been forced to decieve his own black knights which is sure to come back and get him.
He will eventually be confronted by Nunnaly on the truth on the situation, so he has effectively lost her forever (unless their sibling relationship is truly as strong as V.V thinks it to be). He may lose Kallen forever (most likely to death from drug overdose...that bastard Suzaku needs to get impaled on something already :/ ). Not to mention being stuck with Rolo, who will probably find out about Lelou trying to kill him and become an even greate problem (though since they mention the thing about his heart, he may end up dying while using the geass :/ ).
So for eveyone whos starting to hate Lelouch...dun hate him, hes heading towards his own nice cozy hell :/
BTW: Everyone pray for Kallen's safety, shes the bestest :D
I hope Kallen just dies already. She's standing in the way of C.C/Lelouch and wouldn't it be wonderful if Lelouch just went off the deep end and ruined everything he worked hard for? That would be a good way to end this series.
I can't believe everyone gets riled up about Lulu or Suzaku's action here. What did you guys expect them to be? This is not going to end nicely since both of them are too arrogant to admit their mistakes. Lulu knew too that he has to be evil to beat his father so he's a lost case from the start. Suzaku, well, he's a hypocrite so what he's about to do doesn't surprise me.
Also, C.C is too old to be with Lelouch. Plus, wouldn't those two be weird? I always see C.C as the man in that relationship.
Wow, it looks like "rage" is doing a fine job at complicating everything even more in the series than ever @_@. There's Rolo snapping from hearing Nunnally's name, Lelouch snapping more so than usual after Shirley's death, Suzaku's totally snapped as he whips out a box of Refrain, Nina's a done deal from way back when, and Charles looks questionable @_@;
I'm beginning to see Lelouch resembling Charles more and more. Ever since the Chinese Federation arc, I'm really starting to see the father-son resemblance. I'm wondering if Charles snapped from way back when, or is it an effect of the contract between him and V.V. that causes him to hate liars? I wonder if something happened between him and Marianne? Or between V.V. and Marianne? At least the story is anything but dull, right? A bit aggravating at times, but oh well.
This series looks like it took a lot of damage in this episode... I wonder if it's going to even be salvageable in the end =_=; I mean... Lelouch decided that option "I'm going to massacre lots of people" is the way to go, Rolo's just being Rolo like usual, and Suzaku's now going to inject people with addictive drugs to interrogate them... You know... with all that technology & money in the Brittanian goverment, you'd think that they would have invested in a lie detector or created a truth serum by now? *sigh*
Suzaku using refrain on Kallen (as well as all his actions) makes sense when you look at it from his point of view and factor all the events that have happen. First thing we need to remember is that Suzaku does not know what we know hence why it makes sense that he thinks Lelouch killed Shirley. Shirley hinted to Suzaku that she remembers Lelouch is Zero which would be a threat to Lelouch's identity. We know that Lelouch is fond of Shirley and wouldn't kill her but Suzaku doesn't know this. This is because Suzaku also doesn't know that Euphie being geassed was not on purpose or that her death caused Lelouch to weep. So in Suzaku's mind Lelouch geassed and killed his own dear half sister to prevent her attempt at a peaceful solution and to rally the Black Knights for a all out war. 2nd Suzaku has changed/is more screwed up in the head from the first season, let's see, his best friend turned out to be his lover's killer, pretty much spat on a peaceful resolution in exchange for country wide war, (as far as he knows) which is the thing Suzaku was trying so hard to prevent in the whole last season. Zero's battles cost many people their lives like Shirley's father.
Following this reasoning it makes sense for Suzaku to think that Lelouch would kill Shirley to protect his identity as he (as far as Suzaku knows) already killed and manipulated a loved one to help reach his goal. It worse since Suzaku is just plain pissed off now, compare him from season one to two and he is so much more bitter and has negative facial expressions all the time, not to forget that he doesn't hesitate to kill now. For Suzaku his primary goal is to tear apart Lelouch, his previous values and goals are second place. He thinks Lelouch is a demonic person that doesn't deserve to exist and anyone near him will die. So even if he has to use refrain on Kallen, it is a small price to pay if he can find out if Lelouch is Zero again and then he can kill him and protect everyone from him. Also he probably thinks that Kallen is being used by Lelouch not knowing that Lelouch is truly fond of her and vice-versa, so even if he has to use refrain on her, if it allows him to expose Lelouch as Zero so he can kill him, in his mind that will protect Kallen in the long run as well.
Now I am Pro Lelouch all the way but I like Suzaku since his character showed a lot of change through the story and is very different now, his actions make sense following the events that happened. Furthermore it fits the two current themes of this series’ A (The power of the King will make Lelouch lonely and B (Lelouch's karma has created an enemy. which is true as Suzaku acts the way he does know because of Lelouch's actions if he didn't start his rebellion their friendship would be intact and Suzaku wouldn't be in the bad mental shape he is now.
Let's see:
Lelouch wants to create a peaceful world at all cost including killing his own brothers/sisters/family.
Charles wanted to create a peaceful world by killing God who causes friction between mankind.
Both want to imprison/kill Geass users to achieve their aim.
I'll be the first to say that at the end of the series, we'll see Lelouch turning *exactly* like his father.
I have to agree that they seemed to be quite a few things that Lelouch and Charles have in common, most likely Lelouch will have to struggle to not become what he hates for the rest of the series and he is not off to a good start.
I almost felt sad for Rolo, not as much as I am angry at him, but he truly thought he was helping Lelouch, thinking about it, it is not surprising, he doesn't fully understand normal human bonds and acts cold hearted and calculating when not interacting with Lelouch. He thought Shirley was a threat and so to protect Lelouch he eliminated her like he suppose to do to any of Lelouch enemies. It's so messed up because he intended to help Lelouch but did the one of the few things he shouldn't of.
Cornelia and Lelouch double teaming V.V. was awesome. Eat sibling power bastard. Also Orange shows that he is a badass only piloting a Sutherland and still kicking ass. If he was in a mech that was a match for Kallen's Guren He probably could have won that battle at Narita.
No, Rolo killed Shirley because she wanted to help bring back Nunally to Lelouch
He was afraid he would lose his place
Camario: LOL no I love the Code Geass. What I meant to say was that with this episode there's no way in hell everyone's gonna get their happily ever after, since I can't imagine the main characters clinging on to their sanity any longer (I'm actually wondering how the writers are going to pull that one out). I wasn't talking about the quality of the story. Hehe sorry for the confusion.
Lelouch on the path of no return, huh? kinda disappointing, but I guess Shirley's death was one blow too many.
Destroying geass lineage also seems depressing. the power is fine by itself. What the users tend to become should be destroyed, IMO. That gives me the sort of feeling I have when I hear a species going extinct. (only this one's not real so I can rest easy)
Suzaku looks like he's hell-bent on proving that Lelouch is the current Zero. More than likely he's going to kill Lelouch when he finally has all the evidence he needs.
Conclusion: Lelouch & Suzaku act hypocritically in their own fury.
All we need now is for Lelouch and Suzaku to kill each other. Then C.C and the other women will inherit the country. Yesss, I like the idea.
I don't know why anyone will blame Lelouch. Sure, he massacre those kids but they are not exactly innocents. They are mini-Rolos waiting to happen. If they are already that psychotic when they're that young, imagine what would happen in the future when they are older? These freaks will create so much problem for normal humans once they are out in the real world. Remember how many people Rolo has killed?
Lelouch behaved like a douche bag this episode. Destroying the cult to avenge Shirley? The cult is responsible for everything concerning Geass, what makes them indirectly responsible for Shirley's death, yes, but Lelouch is ignoring his own responsibility in all this mess. I think the inevitable is coming, he's going crazy already, being corrupted by power, succumbing to his evil side... becoming more like the Emperor as time goes on *sigh*...
I don't regret Lelouch's actions though, I don't feel sorry for the people of the cult, they had to go... Geass is a threat for the world so vanishing it from the face of earth is a good deed.
I thought I couldn't hate Suzaku more... I won't underestimate myself about it from now on, and won't underestimate his ability to be hated more and more either. Everything points at Lelouch though...
Villeta is up to something with Ougi.. Will Ougi betray his fellows for that bitch?
What I wonder the most is what the Charles wants from Lulu
So Zero forced his Black Knight people to murder powerless researchers! I wonder if they will turn on him or begin to question him behind his back now.
I'm not disturbed by Lelouch killing those innocent people mostly because I can understand his desire for revenge. What I don't like is how sudden it was. It's like he was grieving for Shirley one minute and then in another he's all like "ok, let's kill the cult". It was very abrupt and badly transitioned on the part of the writers.
As for Suzaku, I'm now convinced that the writers really do want us to hate him. There's no other reason as to why he's been given such a lousy characterisation. He's one of those hypocritical character who says one thing but does something completely different.
I actually kind of feel sorry for the Emperor. He looked sad and disappointed when he knew that people just want to to suck up to him as Emperor. He looks even sadder when he realised that V.V lied to him. I agree with those who said that his intention was probably noble but like the famous saying, "the path to hell is littered with good intentions". Lelouch is heading that way too now.
And the academy award for the best actor in pretending not getting affected by the murder of a loved one goes for: Lelouch Vi Britania!!! , and the award for the idiot who believed it goes for: Rollo Haliburton!!
I liked the chap, specially Conelia, Nunally and Kallens chat and CC, long time no see ne??
Suzaku inst making any merits for his popularity not even a little ne? I hope Kallen gives him a good kick in the balls for being a Moralfag. Doing that Kallen would be the worst and even the most feared by her, since her mother was and addict of that drug, remember her face when she saw Lelouch was going to inject Refrain??
I dont care about the cult, they werent innocents, they would be trained ike Rollo to be assasins, then their powers put in disvantage the normal humans... so yeah lets kill the cult!!
Does anyone feels bad about Ms. Fennette poor woman... someone shot her for her sake...
I still can't believe how stupid Rolo is. He actually thinks Lulu will believe his BS about killing Shirley to protect Lulu's secret? Plus, isn't that a lie anyway? He killed Shirley because he's jealous that she was closer to Lulu. That psycho needs to die when he uses his Geass one of these days.
So no one is interested about Ougi and Viletta? I think there could be something interesting with those two. It's weird that Viletta suddenly forgets her racist background once she hooked up with Ougi but maybe they'll make it out okay in this show?
Papylon you are forgetting that Lelouch had to act in front of Rolo.
@ Tekkaman
Villeta probably is going to turn Ougi against Zero... That would be easy, he just has to tell him all he knows about Lelouch (pretty much everything).
I wouldn't blame Ougi for going against Zero after Villeta's lecture, after all, the fact that Zero's true identity is a Britannian student, whose true identity is a vengeful ex-prince of the Britannian Empire, a son of the Emperor, is fucking HILARIOUS!!
Killing the researchers and the genetically engineered children (who ARE WEAPONS of Destruction) is justifiable, even by real world standards. Why?
1) Let's say Lelouch doesn't kill them, instead he uses them as he originally plans...there is always the possibility that they will turn on him.
2) He captures them and imprisons them somewhere. They and the knowledge/power they carry still exists, there is always a risk that they will escape or end up in the hands of someone who will abuse that knowledge and power becoming another threat to the world.
3) So yes killing them sounds more reasonable and a safer solution than keeping them alive.
As for people who say Lelouch is acting like his father, here's a simple fact: Even during World War II, allied leaders such as Patton, Eisenhower, Churchhill, etc all in many ways like their counterparts on the Axis side. Do you really think that Montgomery would've been able to defeat Rommel in North Africa if he acted differently? However the main difference between Allied leaders and Axis leaders were that Allied leaders showed restraint and did not abuse their authority whenever they were able to. They kept themselves in check.
Same with Lelouch, though he may use similar tactics and cunning methods as his father, he still shows lots of restraint compared to Charles.
Sun Tzu said in war, the general who knows himself and knows the enemy is sure to be victorious. In CG, Lelouch knows himself and knows how his enemies think. Suzaku on the other hand just gets all riled up and uses brute force to gain his victories, his ability to plan ahead and try to ensure 100% victory is NULL.
I officially dislike all of the main male characters except Orange-kun. Even being emo has its limits! I think what happened to Shirley in the last episode has the same effect on Lelouch as Euphie's death had with Suzaku. They have both gone insane.
Suzaku ,you selfish unforgiving misguided hypocrite!!! How dare you force Kallen to do drugs! That is not the way how to interrogate witnesses!!!!
I'm curious whether C.C. and Marianne are related or just friends......
And also, I'm guessing that Charles is promoting Social Darwinism when he is appointed Emperor, because of his contract with V.V. which is to kill the gods and remove all lies in the world.....
....that white mask is probably the "God" which they are talking about since the God they decribes is not the ones we knew (like Zeus)
BTW, this episode reminds me of the End of Evangelion and the game and movie Hitman. Why?
*The massacre of the Geass Order reminds of the JSSDF killing most of the NERV staff in Evangelion
*Those kids with Geass remind me that they are would-be-assassin clones and also Rolo is probably one of them....except he's no Agent 47.
And also, V.V. kind of look like Hao Asakura of Shaman King (in that part where his Siegfied got destroyed and he went freaking surprise)....
And I'm guessing that when Jeremiah said that he is doing it for Marianne...V.V. got mad when he dares mentions that name....
...I'm guessing that V.V. might be responsible for Marianne's death..
Huh, I can see lots of resemblence between Charles/V.V and Lelouch/Rolo.
Rolo and V.V both have this idea about how great brothers are, and are pretty much willing to do anything for their brothers.
Rolo killed Shirley, V.V probably killed Marianne, though it may not have been for the same reason. Could Lelouch's desire for revenge against Rolo possibly foreshadow that Charles is probably going to kill V.V?
you know that mask?
the picture with the caption "god, is that you?"
There was something similar in the manga
Knightmare of nunnally
im not sure but could the two be possibly connected
I will say this.
Things are going south fast. Very fast. And Lelouch, Kallen, and every other black knights memeber better have a damn good back up plan.
Thundercrotch!!
Loving them screen cap comments =D
Things are going to hell in a hand basket and fast, err for the characters that is. Let's hope the series itself doesn't. Lelouch killing all the researchers was a split feeling of was it truly necessary and justifiable reason kinda thing. Suzaku...is just a pathetic fool. Karen/Kallen (w/e) better kick some ass next ep. So far the series has been good, lets hope it doesn't end too shit-tastically.
Those screen cap comments...God-like, love'em everyone of them.
Anyone else notice that Karen/Kallen (w/e) isn't shown in the ending? I think she's the only one too...
Uh all this Suzaku hate makes me sick just because your precious little Kallen is getting what she deserves for all the shit she's done your going to have a little fit over it seriously
@SuzakuForever: What he is doing is injustice and wrong.....and the incorrect way to interrogate a person....
I just think suzaku’s acts more on his emotions and feelings. In the mao thing he said when he killed him he did it in blind rage (assuming he wasnt geassed or anything like that, this would hold true). When he confronted lelouch it was the same situation.
Whats interesting is suzaku still doesnt know the reason why zero geassed euphie. He took zero to the emperor out of rage not wanting to hear his reasons. But it was hinted couple episodes back in season 2 that he still doesnt know the reason why zero geassed and killed her. I think if he was a little more collected and had a dialouge he couldve learned the real reasons behind her death.
1. especially when lelouch was like ya i dont care we can talk about this after we save my sister*.
2. i mean they were best friends he shouldve atleast gave him a chance to talk
*on a side note what kinda ass neglects a blind paralysed girl who you’re close with for revenge.
Granted lelouch could've told him the first time they ran into each other at the school but he knew suzaku was still too angry.
In other words, Suzaku is blaming Lelouch for everything bad in the world....
You remember that in epi 25, Suzaku shouted that Lelouch's mistake is his existence, so he thinks that Lelouch is root of all the problems in the world....
Kallen get what she deserves?? I don´t think she had done something to deserve that... Just following her ideals and kill the ones that are in her way during a battle... Isnt that what Suzaku has been doing too?(obviously adding a bit or too much of his revenge against Lulu) and then if we add the fact that Refrain is the thing Kallen hates the most, and a second fact that its useless using Refrain if he wants to know Zeros identity, the only thing he would get its Kallens onesided conversations of her greatest memories...
Seriously Suzaku is getting more idiot every chap... he should begin thinking instead of letting his emotions get the worst of him...
@Garten: HEY, the music video of WORLD END is here!!!!!
