OP Theme: 「Casting Dice」 by Kanno Yuuki - AVI version (20MB)
ED Theme: 「名まえのない道」 - Namae no Nai Michi by Kaori Hikita - AVI version (16MB)

I am afraid this one is not for me either. I just think the anime looks really poor character design-wise. As for the story, it's about a boy who's stuck in either a VR world or a twisted version of Edo period after he got attacked by a Nue. I did appreciate the eerie atmosphere in the middle of the episode and I am a bit intrigued by the storyline. I want to know if the boy is actually stuck inside a virtual world or really transported to a supernatural version of Edo period. Equally intriguing is the priest-like figure who keeps talking about reality and nothingness. Note how he/she/it speaks in a computer-like tone. The other interesting part about the series is the ED song, Namae no Nai Michi, which has ethereal quality to it. I think if the animation and character design were a bit better, I would have given this a more serious look. Sadly that's not the case here. If you're interested, there are small amount of screen caps of the pivotal scene in the episode. I'll recommend that you at least take a look at the ED theme because it's quite good.

I've read some parts of the manga and so far it seems Riku is stuck in VR version of Edo.

I didn't like this one either. I thought PV looked quite promising but I got disappointed right away. Have you watched Itazura na Kiss yet? It could have been better but I liked it a lot more than Amatsuki, at least.

I have. And I deleted it as soon as I saw it. I think I'm the biggest graphic whore out there. All it takes to turn me off an anime/game is a lousy graphic. *sigh* I hope bad character design is not a trend this season.

It's that bad? Then i'll just go back to reading the manga instead. =/

Yeah, production quality was pretty low. I don't blame you. Hopefully other serieses are better. ^^

The ending is by Kajiura Yuki! It's very similar to the loveless ending since the singer in both is Kaori Hikita. It's been a while since those two have worked together.

The screenshots that are shown here are very good but don't be deceived. Those were the only times the character design looks good.

sigh... seems like anime is failing in terms of quality these days... always low, low fps... so sad...

have you seen Chi's Sweet Home, by any chance? It's a good stress-reliever

No, I haven't. I really should since it's only a few minutes so it probably won't tax my bandwidth.

I really love the ending theme. As for the character design, even in the manga, you have to get used to the weird character design. Kuchiha looks more like a man in the manga version.
